About cheating in Multiplayer

Take for example the rare character unlocks. Some players play for a fair amount of time to unlock them. For another user to cheat to get them is unfair, because the other player feels they are at a disadvantage because of someone else's actions. In extreme cases, this can cause non-cheaters to become so annoyed with it that they quit the game, temporarily or permanently.
What people will also find is that when they cheat to get something, there is no sense of delayed gratification, and any pleasure gained from cheating will wear away pretty fast. Okay, for example, you start a Call of Duty game with a fully prestiged character, all gold guns, all medals and challenges complete. Now, how long is that player going to play the game compared to someone who did not cheat? The non-cheater, in my opinion, would play much, much more, since they have things to aim for and achieve. The less people playing on a server, the harder it is to find matches, this eventually leads to a decline in player activity which spells a downward spiral and in worst cases, a shutdown of the multiplayer segment of a game.
Now, I understand that not all cheaters are the same and perhaps my former paragraph is a bit pessimistic. But I have optimism that ME3's multiplayer mode will be very fun and will be popular for many years to come. Keelah Se'lai!

I feel physically uncomfortable playing the game out of the box and I know the fov will never be patched. I'm fine with that and most people who get dizzy about it already find a solution. But tell us if we risk to get banned or not.

Problem solved.
Local copy that is shared among MP and SP is obviously wrong way to go. It shows that BioWare has never made proper MP before. Off topic: which is why you guys are not very good at balancing weapons and powers, by the way.

I've had on multiple occasions had people accuse me of cheating just because I was killing enemies much faster than them. These were people who were low levelled and apparentley new to MP.
So yes, I'd be a little worried about getting banned because of false accusations.

So is this only happening on the PC version? I mean how can people hack the console versions?
Of course they can, but according to many business models "PC players are all pirates, cheaters and hackers"

Alot of the PC gamers are pirates, it`s very easy to pirate games and other stuff on PC, it`s not that easy to do that on consoles(unless you have friends with games that was bought on the stores. I have the CE of ME3, so I haven`t gotten ME3 through a friend
And to pirates: Don`t even try and call yourself a hardcore gamer, hardcore gamers buy their games.

That's still an unfair assumption to make. that's like saying A lot of PC gamers are Pirates,
If you change the wording, you can still say the same thing without the offense
A lot of Pirates operate on PC, Do you see how that is less offensive toward them?
I'm just saying this because I've been a dedicated PC gamer all my life, and as far as I'm concerned there are still equally as many pirates and hackers on consoles, it's just harder for them because they have to crack open their shackled little hardware boxes. and they're stopped by Warranties and such, PC owners aren't.

EA & Bioware, change the way you take care of hacking, don`t ban everyone that is in a hacked lobby, only punish those who actually hacked it. Most of the time, it`s the host.
With the money EA has, it should be very possible for you to make a better security system.

Dude, that's how ALL the pirating works.
A guy buys a game and the DLC officially and then generously shares it with other people. That's why you can't battle pirates, because first-hand "pirates", or should I say captains buy their games officialy.

This.
I always have that sense of dread of getting into a hacked lobby. Tried setting up my own to avoid this, but no one seems to want to play with me. T_T

Last night I was in a game with a guy with a Black Widow X. He was N7 rank 53. He must have done something differnt than cheating millions of credits to buy specter boxes, because it must take 1000+ boxes to get an ultra-rare weapon to X and that means also hundreds of character cards. That would put his N7 rank way over 53.
Therefore I suspect that the characters and weapon unlocks are saved in some file on our PCs and he found a way to just give himself the best weapons.
Unfortunately the screenshot function didn't work and I had forgotten his name after the game, so I can't report him.

Why do you need to cheat in a 4-player CO-OPERATIVE mode?
Theres barely any competition with other players to begin with. If you really want to buy packs you can BUY packs. I don't see the point. I don't even see the problem, I don't see how its effecting me if another person gets more credits or a better score because they are exploiting the game.
Cheating/exploiting is wrong but I fail to see who it effects me, a person who plays multiplayer for fun (and because of its lame decay system). I don't even see this as a major problem compared to other issues.

People cheating affects the leaderboard and thus all people who play for a good ranking.

Yesterday while playing a Gold match on Firebase White, one of the players glitched (or hacked or whatever) himself into the shuttle on the landing pad and went AFK for the rest of the game. For some reason, being outside of the playable area prevents you from getting kicked for leeching, so we had to play the entire match with effectively 3 players. However, at the end of the match the cheater still got all the credits and rewards for playing the match even though he didn't do anything.
Focus on banning glitchers and leechers since they actually ruin gameplay for the rest of us.

How can you see his ammo? I can't see my teammate's hp/shield and weapon/ammo, even when spectating.
@cheating
So far, people have only been reporting obvious cheaters that get insane amounts of credits and have ultra dmg and stuff. But my concern is, how will i know that i am with a cheater if he is not that gready. They can mod the game to have just a little more ammo, damage, shields, hp... to make the game easier. Same thing with xp and credits in the end. In the demo, i usualy had 55k for gold match, but people say that 80k is within reason. Basicly, i can play super easy gold match and get a lot of credits (let say 20k more than i should) and not even notice it.
I know that non cheater would not gain much credits this way because he is not gonna play with a cheater that many rounds. I also know that most players would notice difference in gameplay and rewards that is needed to be profitable for the cheater (no one would cheat for a 5k credits). But, having even 5k more per match will give some unfair advantage in longer period. Also, if it gets unnoticed, more and more people will do it.
The point is, i might play a lot of matches with different cheaters, over a few day and be a common factor in irregular matches. How am i protected from being banned for that.
It does sound far fetched, but players have a chance to cheat and they will cheat.
@leechers
Kick vote would be nice. Not just for leechers.
I just hope that scoring system will not change in a way that everyone gets what they earned. it may eliminate leechers, but it would ruin everything else.

Some people just want to stroke their egos and get on a leaderboard, that no one cares about anyway.
It's funny because most of the people who do it make it blatantly obvious that they cheated.
IE, One person goes from N7-1 to N7-5030 in one day. gets banned the next
