Indeed. I find all the snitching some what autocratic, something I would think we'd like to avoid. The obvious glitches are one thing, but the one's beyond our control, the network hiccups etc., maybe give the benifit of the doubt.

Its possible. I know Rainbow Six and Rogue Spear way back in the day after time built in a system that would check game files during the countdown to launch an actual game. It would give notice if a player was using modded skins, but not start up if there was anything modded to the actual gear or your hit points.Skorpijon wrote...
Where do game parameters come from? Local file? Cant bioware make a simple check of the local file before each game (1 file how long would it take)? In case the file was tampered, no credits, no xp and a big cheater sign at the end of the match?
Cause the more i read, the more i think ppl can simply change values in some files and do wonders.
Yes i know that check might obstruct you even more. But hey, got to start somewhere?
Well maybe a check only when you enter multiplayer and you get a warning beforhand you have an edited file somewhere?
Seem to remember some games had that....
But in the end, the honest players would have problems, while cheaters would still find a way to bypass this check. Why? Cause it has been like that from 1980's and it doesnt seem things are changing.
Probably the biggest thing though is Bioware/EA don't really know what they are doing with multiplayer. Add in that besides (at least I hope) trying to fix various things wrong with multiplayer, they also have teams working on the expanded endings that should be out this summer, and perhaps even more DLC stuff. Adding something to scan game files is probably far on their back burner sadly.

I would have just quoted the post from Scylla Costa, but it was posted to a locked thread about a player-modded Platinum Difficulty. It's the kind of information that needs a mention in this thread.

Nobody on BF3 or COD has to BUY! ammo..hchadw wrote...
Basically Bioware has bit off more than they can chew and the Singleplayer Story/Campaign is going to suffer for it.
Im a huge fan trust me..... and im mad... i have the right to be. I have bought every Bioware game made ........................ and i noticed quality starting to dip in areas cause they are trying to get into a market that have no business attempting if they are not ready.
You think the multiplayer in this is going to stack up against COD or BF3....... thats what people are interested it..... they will get bored of fighting bots and the multiplayer side of this will die
I promise you that...........................................

Also... can we release a pack with a GREATLY increased chance to get an N7 weapon.. like a 50% chance. I'd pay 250-500k for it no problem. Money is easy to get if you have a good team. There isn't anything 3 Adepts and an Infiltrator can't handle.

When i have buy Bioware credits to keep the ME2 DLC i loose 5EURO only for the transition, before my confirmation, and the server have loose the contact for a few second, resulkting in two transition...can tellmany other "not funny" episode...but at the end...i have all the ME2 DLC.
What i want to say?
I have to do this work (hunt) for Bioware cause Bioware have problem with the "hacker"?I don't know how much is my balance (credit) before of this hunting but honestly i can say:I have spent those credit. One Spectrum pack premium and one equipment. But i have think about what i have do after the reading of this Email, without trouble, why?I play my game! I cannot keep note of the balance during the play, and ...how much is my balance before?I don't know.Sure...6...with a lot of zero...is evident but i am a thief?Of what? Money? Aren't Money!!!!!Remember it, please!!!!
A complete ban is too much for me, sure i hate the cheat and who disturb my game and my competition.Cannot reset the player stat in a simple way for "incorrect conduit"?For example with a patch with a feedback about the player status for those inglorius players...Please, please, make it easy, and to all play for fun, use the money to buy credits or win a regular game.
Dear Dear Dear Bioware, i love your game ME3,(i'm waiting for the summer cinematics release...).Is business, I know, but start with people that want to have fun.I remember the time when my brother keep money from the "monopoly" bank to win a play, he was only ...a little child. I never "ban" my brother from a "monopoly" play, just scream, smiles and fun at the end of theday.
Please give to those players a chance.Players all: I'm an Italian (37Y) player and i am correct, fire and hide, run and escape, recharge and fire again, this is a balance, an equilibrium just for fun.Where is the fun if I use a cheat code?I use it cause i loose my plays and the game is too hard for me?I loose 2 time!!In my games and in my life.
Hi to all and to Bioware team.

Not just by the fact, that players could be glitched or exploited by other players, without doing anything wrong on their own, within my perception, the banning-behaviour of EA/Bioware is an impertinence. They're selling a product, full of homemade runaway-bugs, -glitches and -exploits, and instead of fixing them, they're punishing and banishing the "beta-testers", which already paid for a buggy product. Even worse: They let the people savage... !
Don't forget: "Neither you have to manipulate anything upon the Software for yourself, nor you have to misuse something on your own, to profit from glitches or exploits - and eventually got banished !" EA/Bioware really wants me to: Check every single match for anomalous amounts of credits, misbehaviour of other people, and other anomalies...if I'll become "victimized" by any of their deficiencies, I got to do THEIR job, contact the support to report it, and then complain myself? Otherwise I could get banished? They must be kidding! According to my oppinion, this is no way to act on customers...!
Since "Shattered Steel", I bought almost any of Biowares games on PC, and became a big fan of their work...but not any longer! At the end of a long list, this is the final reason, wherefore I will never buy any of EAs/Biowares products again. Pity! Shame on you!
To all the underdogs, barking and yelling for punishment : "Why so offended, where did you came off badly? Why this watchdog-behaviour, what's your profit thereof? Couldn't it be you..."
It's not like I'm feeling ashamed for people, not knowing their own rights, but for people who are trying to chop the rights of others...
"sorry for my bad english"
(This will be my first, and my last posting, in this thread; no matter what'll follow! Incinerate now...)

Is there some kind of procedure and is there any use in reporting cheaters?

I reported a cheat. After over a month I got a reply back (there is an e-mail someplace to report cheaters) stating simply they were looking into it, they take cheating seriously, but I wouldn't hear anything on the results.AdverDoren wrote...
I suspect that killing multiple brutes with single sticky grenade on gold is a cheat.

If you do report it, the date is needed along with the name of the one you think is a cheater and why. I've heard some in PC have been banned or had other actions taken against them for cheating. As for a sticky grenade, well one could. Granted, each of the brutes would need to be rather close to each other and fairly low on health.

This is news to me. So apparantly people have now found a way to bypass the host's configuration when playing as non-hosts.

First I thought he was damn lucky getting 3-5 enemies with one shot, but I ran after him and saw that he just pulled the trigger constantly while his gun was making that *pffft* sound (no ammo). Having no ammo didn't slow him down tho.
He wasn't the host by the way and nobody else had anything weird going on.

Cerberus spawns on bronze difficulty. It was like they were cloned 2 times over because they appeared in a big crowd! And not just one big crowd, there were about 3 in the first wave and they bore down on us en masse. I left in the middle of it; first wave. It was not normal.
Ammo count stays at 15 and I've problems reloading because the count went to minus after I offloaded several bullets. Going to ammo depot makes no difference, the count always maxed out at 15.

The host had modded files. The ammo glitch is a result of it.

Umm.. what? Like his actual character was somehow level 43, or did you just somehow mistake his N7 level being 43 as his character level?Langeman wrote...

I played a match where I would randomly get 880+ reserve ammo (using a Claymore), sometimes get full heal, and one voice player complained of lag (I didn't feel much, maybe I'm dead to lag nowadays) before complaining of hacks and leaving.
After a bit, I would notice that chucking a prox mine could instant kill enemies sometimes.
The hacker was using a Falcon, which seemed to be firing as fast as a Striker if not more so, but my firing speed with a claymore remained constant, maybe because it was 1 shot clip.
The other teammate was using a Mantis, so I have no idea if the firing speed hack applied to all teammates like the others.
Hacks noticed:
1. Full heal; might be a toggle because I remember running from fire and still having full health
2. Reserve Ammo restock, it would go back to normal after a bit; maybe a toggle?
3. Instant kill switch, it didn't happen all the time, so I assume a toggle
4. Firing speed: Only noticeable on the Falcon user...might be a group toggle?
