Quick question, does the rolling off the map thing on Firebase Hydra count as cheating? I emailed the cheaters email, and was told there would be an investigation, but I couldn't be told the results of the investigation. The paranoid parrot in me automatically went "OH GOD HE'S GONNA THINK I CHEATED AND BAN ME," but instead of having a panic attack and buying a new gold membership, I decided to come here and ask.

Tell me if this guy (vlaras N7-20) is not cheating.  I have a N7 rating of +1100 and I don't have his weapons that high.

I think I will just start posting thier Name and picture of the gear here, along with an email telling them I reported them.

I did report it. I will see if this guy's account is still around in two weeks. If it is, I'll keep posting every cheater I come across because it will then be obvious that BioWare is not doing anything.

There may be something to it, or there may not be.

The point being that, your N7 rating does not go above 20, irrespective of how many games you've played or packs you've bought, unless you promote an existing lvl 20 character or create another character in a different class and level that one too.

Maybe they simply like playing that class and have no interest in promoting the character or creating a new one in a different class. It's always possible.

As it is, I think my N7 rating is still something like 114, even after playing MP since the game's release, simply because I have no interest whatsoever in promoting my characters. My N7 rating is no direct indication of how many matches I've played or my overall experience.

Character cards do not raise your N7 rating *unless* you specifically create a character in the related class to benefit from them.

As unlikely as it is that they simply never promoted/created characters in other classes, the N7 rating alone isn't solid evidence of cheating.

Doesn't really make sense.
Even if he only played as an Infiltrator and never promoted, he'll still get to around 100ish N7 to get the Rare weapon at X level.

BUT! if he used micro points/ Bioware points/ whatever watchamacallit, it MIGHT be genuine.
Can't make any safe assumption really. Gotta wait for the verdict from Admin side.

He is obviously cheating. Even if he paid $ for packs or only played infiltrator, it is very unlikely that he can get a level X gold weapon and still remain at N7 20. He should have gotten at least a few character cards for other classes.

Edit: I stand corrected.  It is possible to remain at N7 20 if you do not create characters in other classes.  Nonetheless, I stand by my opinion that the person is cheating as it is highly unlikely that he would not even try out any one of the other classes.

As an aside, I fail to see why people think that being able to aquire a level X weapon is somehow connected with your N7 level. It isn't. They are two completely separate and unrelated things.

The problem with this is that I find it would get SO BORING playing the same character over & over.  I can see maybe a few hundred N7 rating but only 20, please.  It is possible, but very, very unlikely.

I wonder how much silliness the bioware staff has to deal with that is not cheating.  ZOMG, a level 10 widow!  hackzors!!! 

I only have a valiant 2, but I will take that over a crapbox  widow ANY day of the week.

Can you guys prove cheating, or is this just EMO about someone elses gear or scores?  Prove - means beyond the shadow of a doubt - as in you saw it .  Having good gear does not make a cheater.  A guy with an Avenger 1 that can one shot Banshees on Gold is a cheater.

Lets keep this in perspective.

So are they doing anything about the credit glitchers or not? I ran into a guy last night that all Ultra Rare weapons at 10 and still has over 20 million in game credits. I've been doing everything the right way and it's frustrating that a guy that has spent a small fraction of the time playing this game that I have has all these weapons at 10, yet I can't seem to get the Talon or Saber past level 1.

The real issue is that a cheater is a cheater no matter what it is in.  Be it a video game or professional sports, you are a cheater and should be held accountable for it.

Those that support it or say that it does not bother them are either cheaters themselves, know someone that is doing it or have no moral conscious.

Cheater = LOSER

They are. They've banned people for credit glitching, and reset their credits / items for it. If you want to help the process along, though, you're more than welcome to report a suspected cheater when you run across one. Then they'll investigate that particular player, and determine if they're actually cheating or not.

hey i got into like an all husk reaper match, enemies is only husk, and they were alot of em, giving easy kills = xp. and credits. will upload a vid to bioware if that is cheating.

Yes. Bioware does consider that as cheating- they locked the official "Zombie Mod" thread and made a statement. Since this happened recently, you should really just report the Leader of the match to the staff rather than posting a video of it here in the forums. You can still send the video to them as evidence, though.
