I was so puzzled that I even started a topic about it. It turned out a very interesting discussion. General consensus is 2 shotting an atlas is considered nearly impossible with wraith V, even with all the damage buffs he had.Kasrkin wrote...
Most shotguns DO ignore shield gate, at least partially. Due to multiple projectiles. But yeah, 2 shotting an atlas? I know that the Wraith has good damage . . . but yeesh.

damage boost is off and carrying a heavy weapon lets you wait ages to cooldown after the glitch stopped...

It is not a question of task distribution. Its a question of priorities and resource allocation. Resources should focus on removing the problems with your product first instead of punishing people for exploiting those problems.Siran wrote...
The people that ban cheaters are not the same who are responsible for patching the game - ever thought about that? Bioware is - like practically any other company - not a "one-guy-runs-all" show. There are departments and different jobs for a reason...

Don't get me wrong, I am rooting for BioWare in every aspect, but I am sorry to say they look increasingly incomptetent. Just look at the fiasco around patch 1.03 for example.

I'm not saying I am pleased with the latest patch and the issues it didn't fix. But blaming the banning of cheaters that Bioware did not fix their game is just absurd.

I agree with you but disagree at the same time. Go figure...Siran wrote...
There is no task you can allocate "infinite" resources to, not in software development. There is always a cap. Plus, there is no way they can eliminate every exploit and cheat there is, no MP game has, every one has to deal with cheaters. Why should ME3 be any different?
Cheaters should be punished. Period. Right after fixing bugs and issues known ever since launch: no fixes, no bans.
Edit: I just had a look at your manifest... I don't like you a lot...

I think we can agree to disagree, then
As for you not liking me and my manifest:

And it seems we do not disagree so much after all:
But both sides of the "and" need to happen, not just the first, as is the case atm.I'm for punishing cheaters and fixing bugs at the same time.

my favorite part about most people posting in this forum is the fact that if somebody is better than you, he has to be cheating..
I never said that. Maybe before posting such accusation you should read more carefully the "incriminated behaviour", my friend.
I even posted a topic about the matter I talked here and general consensus was "You cann two shot kill and Atlas with the Wraith"
Who cares about score, but since I was the host I care if the other user was cheating and BW consider the host cheater too. I don't want to pay for other persons' illegal actions.
Is it more clear?
So I'll post my own version:
My favorite part about most people posting in this forum is the fact that if somebody has an opinion they don't like they accuse you of something (being a bad player if you are against a nerf; claiming you f accused a player of cheating only because he outscored you etc) No polemics intended

While anyone can and would agree that glitches should be fixed, bringing it up is a non-issue. Simply because every one knows they should be fixed, people are always trying to fix them, and there simple fact that there will always be glitches in virtually every online multiplayer game.
The people who exploit and cheat will continue to find every little glitch they can, and when they can find no more, they will behaive in other ways harmful to other players to maximize their personal gain with as little team effort as humanly possible. Exploiters ARE part of the problem as long as the possibility of exploits exist. And they must be found and removed. Dragged out of the game kicking and screaming.
People who can't think very far past the end of their nose don't understand how cheating hurts the quality of the game when you are versing A.I.
It takes away the challenge for honest players. It takes away the repeat play value for the honest players.
And worst of all, it devaules the hard work of the honest players.
May work hard to unlock this and that and are proud of it and seek to work hard to unlock more.
Then they turn around and a bunch of stupid kids are way ahead of them doing an exploit to unlock it all.
Cheaters must be hunted down and removed.
Simple as that.

Wow. Do you know the cheaters personnaly to say that?
Anyway, are you saying you're proud of your random unlocks?
Cheating is a huge issue in competitive mp, simply because it makes the skill irrelevant and gives victory to the person that makes no effort.
But vs computer, it's almost the same as if you were cheating in a solo game imo. It doesn't take anything away from the player that don't cheat, and sometimes allow the player to just ignore badly done part of a game.
I honestly can't blame people for cheating for money (note, i don't support it) when the packs are so random, and there are 10 levels for each weapon and mod. It's questionnable design (maybe made to prolonge the lifespan artificially ?).
I mean seriously. You want a weapon? or more custom on your character ? Sure, just keep grinding over and over again, and you'll have it. Maybe very early, maybe very late, who knows, you're entirely dependant on the rgn.
If someone has beaten the ennemies several time in silver, but has to do it again and again to get better stuff for gold, it's not necessarily interesting for him, since he knows he can do it. So one has to do about 9 wave before he gets to the one that brings significant money.
I don't see how that's very interesting for anyone.
I mean, I've played it for a little while, gotten a few rare weapon, but the shuriken X still seems ridiculously effective for its weight compared to a lot of other rarer weapons i have.
If the game was better designed to not force a repetitive grind on the player, less people would cheat.
or if you could get the items you want for a significant price.
Ofc, if you don't want a cheater in your game and there is one, I can somewhat understand that you'd be pissed.
They should stay together

This one is right. Bioware has set up a specific team now to deal with cheaters, and only with cheaters. I find it a smart move.Siran wrote...
