even the dolphins of this world cant save your company from the sharks called bankruptcy youve been bleeding for far to long and the hoard is on your tail im a multiplayer fan im done my uncle is a story fan hes upset with your lack of anything story wise and is also done with bioware and if you think the line of grief and players leaving your company ends there you clearly havent read these forums so in the odds of your inevitable demise as a company id like to say goodbye for everyone else who hasnt your staff might enjoy to hear that when they get cut for lack of funds

its not just me the vast of the griefers in this 58 page forum are done as well then theres the butt ton of other players that are fed up with biowares crap that are out to. if im a gem they just landslided a whole continent of gem caves into a volcano to never be seen again look at the big picture here instead of critisizing one player

I am looking at the big picture.

The game will live on. Bioware will still make money. You're just mad.

There. Now I'm framing the picture, and putting it on the wall.

My perspective is this:

Who do I believe knows more about business- Johnny Forumgoer, with his obvious bias because he's mad and all his run-on sentences, or Bioware / EA, who actually have employees in their stead who were specifically trained for this?

Additionally, how often have I seen people who are annoyed with a game for a decision made by the company, and then they make some dramatic post on the forum about how the game is dying and the company is stupid for whatever they did?

Sorry. Bioware wins out, both times. They will still make money, and they will still live on.

im just pointing out flawed business decisions they choose to keep making you can defend them i dont care i said what i needed to they wont read it and nothing will change except the profit they make and them making money doesnt mean they stay in business they have a huge budget for games and people have expectations if they lose money they cant afford to uphold those expectations. then games sell less, then they make another lower quality game which continues to sell less then the company dies you may not see the chain but i do. its rusted and tattered and there not fixing it.

At least get your facts straight about the collapse of 38 studios or you'll just keep embarrassing yourself.

You implied, that they are out of business due to consumers "leaving" them or not buying their product. This is not true.

if thats what you got out of it and your offended im sorry but as ive stated the comparison was that there out of business and that if a perfect game like kingdom of amalur flopped then so can bioware even if 38 studios mistakes were much more substantial for a signifacantly younger company

I guess we can agree on that. Of course, any company can make huge mistakes that drive them to bankruptcy. I just don't think banning people that cheat is one of those mistakes.

and the reason ive brought anything up is there banning people for exploiting a glitch they created glitching and cheating are different they didnt go out of there way to mess with the game the developers presented an issue people accidently stumble upon and there slapping the ban sticker on there mistakes

i dont think anyone deserves a ban for seing potential power the company presented after taking so much away also i dont think they have any right to ban players who are ill informed because no one uses these forums to check rules and there not in the game or the terms of service the punishment is unjust for a crime created by the game developers

"a glitch they created"

A glitch that Bioware/EA created? Are you serious? Can you not use a comma, period, or the proper form of there/they're/their to save your life?

Back to the point, glitches tend to be called glitches for they aren't suppose to be there, for they were not designed to be there. Accidental mishap into one shouldn't bring the ban-hammer down, but if someone keeps going out of their way to find it and use it, then its just as bad as purposely changing game files to cheat. I don't work for EA or Bioware, but I'd at least assume before they ban someone that they'd look through previous games of that person and see if its been used on a continuous basis. I highly doubt they'd just sit there and ban anyone who gets a report sent in for possibly cheating.

Those who do cheat by exploiting glitches or by altering game files I do like to see go away though. It ruins the game for me when I get caught up with cheaters. If they allowed cheaters to run rampant and never did anything, then I would leave. I'm sure others would leave. You presented a case that banning so many players will cause them to lose money, but if they didn't ban players for cheating, then many of those who ACTUALLY want to play the game Bioware and EA made would leave.

Also, at least a decent amount of people come by to check up on rules on here. Really don't know why you think no one does. I've seen threads of people finding or seeing something and asking if its actually a game mechanic or not. Many in this thread, and often to see if they really should report someone or not. There was even an entire thread for a while (that I think died due to OP stopping to update it) that was for people to report glitches they've stumbled upon and that Bioware mods actually bookmarked and read so they could know what things they would need to fix. So yes, Bioware does read at least some of these threads. I believe they even read this one from time to time, considering they link to it.

if they used there time and resources to fix the glitches instead of banning players things would actually get done and my grammar affects you how periods and commas do what for you make it look fancy because thats what you were taught

“‘People of Earth, your attention please,’ a voice said, and it was wonderful. Wonderful perfect quadraphonic sound with distortion levels so low as to make a brave man weep.

‘This is Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz of the Galactic Hyperspace Planning Council,’ the voice continued. ‘As you will no doubt be aware, the plans for development of the outlying regions of the Galaxy require the building of a hyperspatial express route through your star system, and regrettably your planet is one of those scheduled for demolition. The process will take slightly less than two of your Earth minutes. Thank you.’

The PA died away.
Uncomprehending terror settled on the watching people of Earth. The terror moved slowly through the gathered crowds as if they were iron filing on a sheet of board and a magnet was moving beneath them. Panic sprouted again, desperate fleeing panic, but there was nowhere to flee to.

Observing this, the Vogons turned on their PA again. It said:

‘There’s no point acting all surprised about it. All the planning charts and demolition orders have been on display in your local planning department in Alpha Centauri for fifty of your Earth years, so you’ve had plenty of time to lodge any formal complaint and it’s far too late to start making a fuss about it now.’

The PA fell silent again and its echo drifted off across the land. The huge ship turned slowly in the sky with easy power. On the underside of each a hatchway opened, an empty black square.

By this time somebody somewhere must have manned a radio transmitter, located a wavelength and broadcast a message back to the Vogon ships, to plead on behalf of the planet. Nobody ever heard what they said, they only heard the reply. The PA slammed back into life again. The voice was annoyed. It said:

‘What do you mean you’ve never been to Alpha Centauri? For heaven’s sake mankind, it’s only four light years away you know. I’m sorry, but if you can’t be bothered to take an interest in local affairs that’s your own lookout.

‘Energize the demolition beams.’

Light poured out of the hatchways.

‘I don’t know’ said the voice on the PA, ‘apathetic bloody planet, I’ve no sympathy at all.’ It cut off.

There was a terrible ghastly silence.
There was a terrible ghastly noise.
There was a terrible ghastly silence.

The Vogon Constructor Fleet coasted away into the inky starry void.”

- Douglas Adams, _The Hitch-Hikers Guide to the Galaxy_
