I enjoy the satisfaction of someone getting banned while I surf the internet and get some credits for them.

OK, this is something new: after playing with a missile glitch cheater, on every class there are two new characters. They both look like the human male engineer, they both have Incinerate, Energy Drain, and Decoy, and they are named $768066 and $768112 on the engineer and slightly different values on other classes. There is no way that I am going to deploy these!

ETA: After restarting the game, the characters disappeared.

I must say I never found any cheating. That's odd because it seems a lot of people complains about it.

But for what it's worth, I host my all games, always. I was not doing that before but after a lot of disconnected hosts, bad connections and so, I decided to always host myself.

I play as Asari Adept, reset the habilities (I don't need stasis) and go warp and throw. I see a lot of projectile-gun but never cheaters and as my formule is quite efficient, I am almost always first except when techs uses their powers and cancel or detonate the biotics or when there is an other biotic.

I must say I don't understand the point of cheating IG : experience is nothing and money is everything (that's why I am N7 round 500 but play since allmost the beggining). You may be first of the chart but you will still need money to buy upgrades and weapons which are everything. (without them you can't do a lot)
If you cheat with infinite missile you only have experience.

Money cheating is an other thing and honestly I don't care (it would not be the same in PvP...)00. I have fun in the game and I know that when I have my suitable level X weapon and level V mod and upgrades, I don't need anything more. More money is to test and play with a lot of characters and if you need that, be my guest and do it. I am a monomaniac and I love it.

Of course, EA does not need "free credits" as their marketting is axed on the fact we will buy bioware point to buy more packs, so it's greed talking here, not justice nor "it"s anoying for the players".

As a player the only thing that's anoying me is players playing for xp only and going forward solo in gold and waiting for someone to reanimate them when they fall because they are alone... at the other side of the map. Or someone killing all the ennemies I warp so I can't detonate them, and after that, I must still going to reanimate him when he is taken hand by hand with a geth hunter.

I am often first of the chart but often fourth too, because when someone else has warp, reave or stasis, I give a rain of throws so he collect the xp and not me, and he is first on the chart (yes, biotics detonations are not "just", the xp is given almost entirely to one of the two players...) and me I am fourth.

I am fourth but I had fun coordonate my biotics with someone else (no, that's not what you think ) and see a team effort at work and those are often my best parties.

But, of course, this is not encouraged by EA nor the "I go solo while three slaves get my back and I collect xp" is discouraged either. Though most of those cessions are the most boring games I have played.

Justice has nothing to do with multiplayer. Rules are rules only, and you chose to respect them or not at your own risks and concidering your own feelings.

I'm going to play devil's advocate and ask who is being harmed by the "cheating"? Considering all we face is bots and everybody gets the same credits, what's the issue? Maybe I've been fortunate to not run into these people but I don't really see the harm. If it was PvP, then I would agree. Also, from what I can gather, these people are exploiting a glitch in the system as opposed to modding or using an external device. If I'm way off in left field, let me know. I welcome any explanation that can enlighten me.

Two glitchers in a row. And an attempt from a third. (Nobody plays an 11th level Geth Engineer with a Krysae on gold unless they are doing the glitch.)

Just had a match with gamertag scraggleteef on xbox live. I usually don't care about people that cheat, as long as you warn the people before the game is played so I can leave and join another game, but when you blatantly cheat out in the open without asking the other players, you need to get banned, this guy finished with 235,000 points at the end of the round.

I'll keep reporting them, and they'll keep getting banned.

Nobody is in the wrong for reporting a cheater, ever, and we should not feel bad about wanting them out of our game when we, personally, have done nothing wrong. We shouldn't have to change the way we play because somebody else can't follow the rules. They will get punished, and I will not feel bad about it.

This part of the forums just appears to be a major league b****-fest and has been abused to h*** and back. Can we please just stop with the back and forth ranting and raving about "you're a whiner if you report people" and "its not fair that he has a bigger gun" and just play the game? Until I find a hack that lets someone get one hit kills without even moving or putting any decent effort into the game at all, I am content with my experience in the ways of fairness.


People who want to report cheaters using ACTUAL cheats in my opinion should FRAPS it and have proof or send a message to Bioware saying "hey this guys a hack" and leave it at that. Anyone else who doesn't have anything to do with this thread can bugger off. Honestly, this thread should never have been made publicly accessible to the community.

If they want to cheat and not play the game properly, and if they don't want to risk getting banned, why don't they just play private matches only with other cheaters?  Simple solution for a problem they are creating.  I mean seriously, why do you expect those who want to play properly to go out of their way to play properly? 

Those who cheat should do so either playing only private matches, or should do so knowing they risk the banhammer via reporting.

It seems to me that if you had never run into a cheater, your enjoyment would not have been diminished. That's why I suggest private matches. That's probably the other reason I haven't run into any. I don't random join. But carry on doing what your doing and then complaining. No skin off my nose. Sounds to me like everybody is taking this issue and, by extension this game, a wee bit too seriously.

In the past two days, I've come across three missile glitchers. All three of which were bossy jerks over their mics. So not only were they cheating, they were being demanding, telling myself and the other two players to cover them while they killed everything.

I just...don't know how that is fun for them. I really don't.

you are totally right. or bioware can just patch the problem but obviously they don't care and are making us fix THEIR problem instead.

Hey so yesterday I joined a random gold on wave 5. FB glacier Reaper. One guy had over 100k and everyone else had either 1-9kish. This guy was killing stuff with an Avenger in like two seconds. Less than a clip killed a banshee. I reported him and left. I was just wondering if people have seen this and if it's some sort of common glitch or something

Sorry if this has been answered already, but can a missile glitcher turn it off once its on? I say that because I might have run into one last night. I was playing with pug on gold and we were getting clobbered and I noticed that this one guy killed a nemesis with a rocket, so i thought it was funny. Later he got several kill streaks. We wiped on wave 8 but he ended up at 80,000 so maybe he was glitching. I was never next to him - he died a lot and bled out. I did think it was strange to be using rockets on wave 2 on a minor target.

I've always been an avid supporter of cheating in SP modes. A player should have the right to play as they want. Some really don't care for the challenge but would rather focus entirely on story. If available I would generally cheat through a single player game first simply to experience the story. if it was then worth playing again I would then play for the challenge without cheats.

MP is totally different. I think it is an unethical practice to cheat in MP, unless it is openly fair to all party members involved who agree to whatever particular cheats are used. A good example would be Saints Row: The 3rd. Cheats were capable of being enabled, but there were obvious draw backs in that. No auto save, so you had to manual save every time, and achievements are disabled, perfect. In ME3's case... this can't work well. The overall MP community is combined. So not only could a player earn unfair credits, XP, items, characters, etc. They would rank higher on the global player lists. This I would not ever approve of.

Cheating = ok so long as it only effects you as the player, or a group of players agreeing to the same conditions that don't effect the overall world community in that game. Players like this who hack a game to advance faster while doing far less, deserve the bans they get.

As I understand it, yes you can. I have no way to confirm, mind, but that's what I've heard.

OK, thanks. I'm going to look through my Xbox recently met list ( was the last game I played last night ) and send info to Bio ware. I think he took out every atlas while he was alive. I guess its a giveaway when a missile is used on a minor enemy so early on.

Do your thing. As I stated earlier, you'll be better off in private matches. No cheaters unless you let them in.

^ lol I always play pug, that guy was terrible yet he endangered me by glitching ( you could get banned if you profit by somebody else cheating ). I mean you have to be really bad to get wiped when you are shooting missiles.
