I got that exact same email yesterday too, and i have honestly never cheated. I have mailed Abram back at the me3accountadmin mail address to help clarify what it is i have done to warrant a warning being associated with my account. I have not tampered with game files, abused any glitches, i didnt even know about the missile glitch until i came to these forums to find out why i was given a warning. I am actually quite upset that bioware would call me out for cheating when i have never done so. I love ME3, and i like multiplayer, and now i just cant even bring myself to play single or mp for fear of getting a further infraction and losing the ability to play multiplayer entirely.

I have as of now not had any response or clarification to what i was supposed to have done.

Oops. I just sent a PM via his BSN account. I probably should have used the me3accountadmin option. If it was just a generic warning that I had been flagged I would just assume some player annoyed with my score (too high or too low) or God knows what else reported me out of spite but the line about having evidence the claim is valid is what concerns me.

I hope we get some sort of response on this. I fear since these are just warnings they will be given a low priority in terms of timely reply.

Seriously, it's a coop game. And so unless someone's seriously ruling the match by killing everything in sight at ridiculous speed, and sucks away all the fun from me, I won't notice and won't give a damn. So what if they have all their weapons, equips etc upgraded to max, it's the teamwork and skills that count.

And I haven't gotten the missile glitch yet, or haven't notice, in fact I still don't know what it is or does. anyhow, you'll get less xp from killing with missiles.

yep it is a co-op game, and unfortunetly, if you enter a public game where one person is cheating you will be automaticlly warned/banned just for being there. Regardless of wether you know someone is cheating or not, you will receieve a warning. Sloppy work giving infractions to innocent parties as well as guilty ones.

Since Platinum is absolutely rife with glitchers, some of whom are cheating and STILL lose constantly, I'd like to clarify the 'rules' of playing with cheaters.

+ I am NOT allowed to go into a match with someone who I know is cheating, if I have see nthem cheat or if they have told me they are cheating.

+ I am allowed to go into a match with someone who MAY be cheating; I don't have to quit just because someone wants to use the Falcon.

+ I am allowed to keep playing if I am already inthe match when they start cheating, whether or not I joined from the lobby or got dumped into the game. I am NOT required to quit a game in progress.

+ I am NOT allowed to keep playing further games with someone who has cheated at all, even if they say they won't cheat or change character to one who can't glitch.

+ I am NOT required to report the cheating to Bioware, although it is good if I do.

:blink:Ok I feel kind of clueless about this but now worried about getting banned for doing nothing.  Are people able to cheat on all platforms or ony PC's?  How will I know when someone is cheating?  I'm only playing it on the ps3 right now but will eventually play it on my computer.  I don't get much play time due to well life so maybe I just haven't encountered anyone cheating or just didn't realize it ....?

Just beat Platinum, after 2 miserable fails (round 1 and round 3 mission failures).

But yes, it had to be "thanks" to a missile glitcher. T_T.

In any casee, Im regular gold and i dont see how will i be able to ever beat Platinum.

I share your concern. There are a few obvious things you can look for though. If you see them, just leave the game.

I have seen matches where:
people had much more ammo than they were supposed to.
weapons seemed to do a lot more damage than they were supposed to.
someone seemed to not take damage no matter what they were hit with (though this could also be a vanguard bug issue I think)

I have read about the missile glitch too but I think it is platform specific. PS3? Not sure.

I am honestly not sure what to do about less obvious cheating. It seems we are still responsible for being in the same game with it even if we don't notice it.

Just to point out some stuff, it's not specific to the 360.  I've had to call on a few Missile Glitchers myself.  You'll know it when you see it.  Someone using a weapon that uses explosive ammo will suddenly start spamming the scoreboard with missile kills, for like, waves on end.  Certainly more than six shots.  

As far as I know, as long as you're not receiving like a million credits for a single gold match, you are fine 'riding out' a game with a Cheater.  You just must not play with them repeatedly, that's as good as you cheating yourself, because you know they're doing it, and you're benefitting from it.  If you receive disproportionate rewards from a match, report it to Bioware and don't spend the money!

On Platinum it becomes even worse to play with a missile glitcher.  It's not even worth playing.  Ruins the whole thing.  How much fun do you think this one was to be in?





That's ridiculous.  Bad enough Platinum is buggy as hell ... but you also have to put up with this?  And being Platinum, I have my best stuff equipped to try and get through it so now my choice is to play a miserable game or throw away my best equipment because someone can't be bothered to play the game the right way.  Nice.

Edit: Had to strike out the buggy platinum comment .. looks like I just hit a bug I haven't ever seen before and it just so happened to be the first time I played Platinum.

There isn't a medigel cheat is there? I was in a game where all of us were down except this one guy and he just kept getting up and seemed to have a never ending supply of them.

Manton-X2 you better be carefull with these screenshots. I suspect that my account was banned for joining to host which using money glitch, and I gathered the whips that I played with him. So yes, I got ban for nothing. On PC its scary to even think about playing in multiplayer. You just could be banned for a passive participating in some exploit.

Yesterday I played in platinum three times and it was really crazy. My friends are very good so I don't have problems. When I see cheaters I leave the party inmediately.

Wrong, they have started banning the people using these glitches along with anyone who was in their public group, innocent and guilty all get tarred with the same brush.

But banning the people doesn't fix the problem. The problem is still there along with the huge number of other glitches like teleport to the extraction point, money glitch, infinite shield, waterfall glitch in Hydra, outside the map in Condor and perhaps a few dozen more

Where do I report a player who was consistently standing still until they needed to move before the auto-boot? They would get executed and whatever, never helping out with any objectives, and just collected credits.

I have their Gamertag, but I'm not sure where to report it.

Meh buy Bioware points and stock up on Jumbo Packs. That or run lots and lots of Golds. 


The most obvious cheat I had ever seen was during Beta where my Revenant had something like 1000 rounds or so when I joined someone's lobby. That was pretty obivious

There is definitely a bug, I don't know if there's a specific way to activate it. I've seen this happen to other players before, and I've had it happen to me - only on FBW from memory. I've been killed, you start to drop through the floor for some reason, and then re-spawn on the landing pad. I've never had it continually work, but I've seen it happening to others. I've even had people die right in front of me, gone for the revive and they're not there, and I realise they're up on the landing pad!

I've also glitched out where you drop from the sky, or otherwise are no longer correctly on the map. This happened to another player in a Platinum game last night, he was falling through the sky for a while, then ended up constantly dying and respawning on the landing pad. So there's definitely some bugs in this area, but I'm not aware of them being able to be specifically activated.

I noticed that sometimes I'll die and get revived by starting at the beginning of the map without using medigel or anything. Is this a glitch that can't be helped or am I inadvertently cheating somehow?
