So I open my email to find this

"Hello,

Your Origin account was flagged as a potential cheater. During our investigation we have evidence verifying this claim. BioWare’s cheating policy can be found here:

http://social.biowar.../index/12467716

At this time we are going to issue you your first and final warning. If you are caught further exploiting multiplayer your account will be reprimanded according to the previously mentioned policy. If you have any questions you can contact ME3AccountAdmin@BioWare.com.

Regards,

Thomas Abram"

Funny thing is I do not play the game on PC, and I've never activated an origin account. Unless they're just using my EA account in general. Even so, I don't play with missile glitchers, I did credit glitch a few times back when it was popular - but I got bored of it after a few times. Considering that I got a warning and not an instant ban I am led to believe someone reported me for griefing/leaching/kicking them out of my lobbies.

They state that they have proof, and I would like to see it because If I have done something wrong I would really love to know what exactly it was.

i
ya do know they can read that and perm ban you now if they wanted to?

Sure they could, but they also could have banned me 2 months ago when I did it for a few rounds. They didn't send me an email or ban me then, but now that I've just been playing the game I get a warning for something I have no idea about. The only thing I can think of is a day or two ago playing cerby vanguard lvl 4 in gold and getting top score. One of the other guys was more than a little butt frustrated about me "Stealing his kills" to the point of screaming at me. I suppose that would fall under griefing in bioware's book.

Just quit a plat game where where you can't lose a round... after the last guy died, the remaining phantom just disappeared....... and the wave was a success ... though I can't be sure since that phantom was the last enemy around, so could just be a slow connection on my part and didn't show how that fury killed the phantom... anyway. Plat is so hard it's ridiculous. I'd use up all my medigel before wave 5... even with everyone reviving everyone constantly

Usually it is lag. I was in a game last night where I hurled out some grenades at the last two guys remaining - they then apparently killed me (last guy up, no gels left) before the grenades went off. Then suddenly it was "Wave completed" and I was up again, and the kill list showed the grenades had done their job... Lucky.

If you're constantly reviving in Platinum (or any difficulty), that's an issue in itself. The enemy don't stop while you're stopping to revive, and if you have to divert to reviving too often, you'll get slaughtered. Consider altering how your team is made up, you should be able to blast through the first half of the game with no need to use equipment. I was playing some Platinum games yesterday where we made round 8 or 9 before I even started touching my gels, missiles, etc. If someone is getting killed frequently, they should consider changing their character and strategy - and possibly they're just not up for Platinum. Also, sometimes a better strategy is to stop reviving and just keep killing. If it has all really gone pear shaped, let off a missile before trying to revive everyone.

I just saw my first missile glitcher and finished the round like Thomas Abram told us to. That was the most boring pointless 15 minutes of my life. Now I see why you guys get frustrated all the time. I wish my friends would get online.

Could just be the wrong map for the wrong characters to play frankly. Platinum on hydra was brutal with me playing as paladin and everyone ducking in the bunker place. Quickly got swarmed by atlases and phatoms and then i quit. By comparison, glacier was far easier with me paladin and an justicar, bunkering in that control room place, with me tanking.

But then that lag/cheat thing happened and i quit. Meh. Or maybe I just suck too much for platinum on harder maps.<_<

While I know its not exactly cheating, but could you fix the glitch when Vanguards and other classes with the capability to teleport get stuck in the map or fall off it. My solution would be that whenever a player starts showing the signature signs, invulnerability for example, simply respawn the player back at the extraction zone dead or alive. Please tackle this and ignore other minor glitches and any nerf demands until this issue is resolved.

I'm starting to hate all these Missile Glitchers and am going about removing people from my friends list who are using the glitch. Though what irritates me is when I'm in a game with a friend (who doesn't tell me that they are gonna glitch so I can leave) or in a random game with randoms and I get associated with the Glitchers. I do everything legit Hell I didn't even do the Credit glitch when it came about. At this point I am about to give up on MP entirely. It is beginning to feel like the biggest mistake to have been added to ME3 and I would have much preferred a longer and more refined story over the Trivial bickering that the MP causes, Not to mention the mass glitch exploitation people like to get into. It just ruins the fun to deal with or even have to listen to people who want to scream at teammates because they are not playing by their play style. Honestly I will be extremely happy when the SP DLC hits in mass cause I will be going to other games when they hit this fall. Just tired of all the irritation and Bickering.

Oh and before someone says why don't you just leave the game. I lose good Equipment by doing that. I usually am on Gold or platinum and I always go in well prepared. So leaving would be just as much of a waste as losing to me.

Hello people. I had a question as I just sent a report using that form to the me3mpcheaters@bioware.com address. Was my first time.

What will happen now? Will I get a response? or will they just investigate that ID that I sent them?

When I sent them an email about a potential cheater they didn't reply. I suppose they will just investigate that ID without telling you more details.
They don't want to share the results of the investigation with anyone else the subject of it. It's understandable, after all.

...I don't think that's the point, here. I think the point here is it would be nice to at least get an autoreply to confirm BW/EA received your report and that it is being looked into. I don't think anyone is seriously asking for the results of that investigation being divulged to the reporter.

[EDIT: Though, incentivizing reporting cheaters by awarding the reporter a free PSP with each report that results in a ban would be a good way to get people to help clean up the community, and get people to stop cheating...]

Or it would result in quite a few petty claims being filed. But I have some hope in humanity left so I'll agree with this.

Your hope is misplaced. If it wasn't, this missile thing wouldn't be an issue in the first place. Platinum seems infested, out of four games today, two had glitchers (both reported), so go*******UZO and stri*****80, I hope you get the hammer.

I already reported him as a possible cheater, but I'll share this here because IMO this is worst possible way to cheat. You end up doing all the work and lose all the credits in the end.

I was playing a Gold game in the new London map against Cerberus. When my squad was downed, I noticed that one of the players was under the stairs, *behind*[/b] the rocks. Because of the heavy clipping in the graphics I'm fairly sure that that's a place you're not supposed  to get into. While we were downed, he took the rest of the enemies down. Soon it became very clear the he took very little or no damage from the enemies. Most of the time he was using the lash(?) melee abity to damage the enemies behind the rocks. It took forever, but eventually he was  able to kill them all.

At first I thought that he might have fallen there by accident. But when we made it into the extraction wave, my game crashed to the desktop, just couple seconds before the takeoff. I've heard that on the Rio map it is possible to trigger a bug with a heavy melee attck in a certain part of the map that crashes everyone's game except the one's who triggered it. I suspect that was exploiting something like this to kick us out and keep all the credits.

Of course it is possible that this all was a misfortunate accident. But it was little convinient that the game crashed just before extraction and not before. And player showed no signs of being upset about being stuck under the stairs.

When I was in spectator mode watching him under the stairs, I didn't think of taking a screen capture. I'll make sure I  do if I see him again.

I'm very paranoid about the missle glitch, and I saw someone in a silver match who, according to the feed, got three quick kills with the missle launcher. I thought, hmm, I'll have to watch. I didn't see anymore missles being fired by this person (from what I was able to pay attention to). Then, later in the match, I pull out my missle launcher because 2 Atlases and some other enemy were just standing together. One well placed missle shot killed all three and it showed up as three missle kills in the feed. My guess is the person who got the three kills earlier did the same thing. Can Bioware tell when multiple kills from result from legitimately fired missles?

Is Bioware penalizing/banning people who stay in lobbies with missile glitchers, or are the bans exclusive to the people who do the glitch?

Alright.. just finished a match about 5min ago and i saw a guy with low N7 rank shooting mantis like a valiant... Is that normal? obviously he was trying to hide it because he was mainly using striker rifle, but when we almost got overrun, he pulled his mantis out and started shooting without reloads.. ( this was on PC)

If you stay in multiple games with people doing it, then apparently yes, it could become an issue for you also. If you are sure someone is glitching, I would just bail as soon as you can. Can be frustrating having to throw gear and other goodies away though.

Personally I think Bioware would be brave to ban people by association - I land in games with people doing this every day, and with the Destroyer "Missile Launcher" and landing in some games mid-game, it's not always obvious straight away that someone in there is doing it. I better not get any ban coming my way by association, or I will get very cranky. I've never completed a mission once I've seen someone definitely doing it though, so hopefully that is clear enough for them.

I've done that for the lolz before, way before all this ban wave thing. Changed the claymore's weight to null, doubled or trippled the damage, and changed firing speed to be the same as hurricane. Didn't change recoil. I never use claymore ever, just for the fun of it.:innocent:

Just for fun, I solo ran a silver to test it, and then joined a gold match to see what will happen with a krogan vanguard. (never hosted a match with this, more on this later) Frankly, even with an auto claymore, with double or trippled damage at point blank, still can't just troll the game.<_<

In the end, my teammated all flatlined and I was stuck somewhere in the floor or way above it after a charge, blind, and repeatedly dying. (The irony eh? Cheated big time and got screwed by game glitch). After the match ended I was kicked out of the lobby before it even appeared.:pinched: Bioware? Vigilantes?

Anyway, here's my observation:

I don't think edited coalsced works if you don't host a game, because my auto claymore didn't do as much damage as it should have, which would instakill even the boss units, i don't remember how much dmg i changed it to so I can't really say.
Also, the edited coalsced file was likely monitored and overwritten without my knowledge somehow:mellow:, because the numbers were reset back later when I checked.

edit: If bioware's reading, the only thing altered in my coalsced now is the fov and the fov reset for cinematics key mappings.
