Came across my first 'Missile Glitcher' yesterday, was wondering what was going on when each wave was over in a matter of seconds, guy must have fired 7-8 missiles in the first 2 waves while myself and another guy just stood there. Left session as soon as I figured it out. First time I have noticed a missile glitch since I started playing mp.

Why'd you leave? you could've had free credits heading your way.

yeah we know you do the objectives while they glitch making you part of the cheating

So hoping you are banned sooner than later

I don't think Bioware should ban people for getting some extra credits by cheating unless it's really really flagrant. Why? Because Bioware cheats me out of things I spent credits on on a regular basis. Any time a glitch causes you to lose or forces you to quit then you lose all of the equipment bonuses you equipped and any expendable items you used become essentially wasted.

- Game freezing. First time trying platinum, it's going really well. Game freezes. Goodbye to three level IV equipment bonuses.
Host can quit, restarting wave
- Drone falls through the map on wave 3. Have to die or quit.
Host can quit, restarting wave
- I wonder if you can cloak while transporting a package? Nope, but you can drop the package through the floor to become unreachable by cloaking while holding it.
Host can quit, restarting wave
- Vanguard glitch. Hope your teammates can finish the match on their own or be courteous and quit (lose credits) so they might get a new player joining.
Why play vangaurd without hosting, it is a well known problem?
- Invincible Hunter forces you to have to quit.
Host can quit, restarting wave
- Banshee magnet hands you from a ridiculous distance away, eventually causing a wipe.
Lag, she would have got you anyway, the game just took a couple seconds to catch up.
- Use up an expendable item but without getting its effects. Also dud missiles.
Sucks, but not THAT big of an issue
- You have lost your connection to the mass effect server. Your friend playing in the same match on the same router hasn't.
Probably the biggest issue, also the most random.
- Lose because your build is gimped due to various power evolutions and a certain weapon mod that simply don't do what they are supposed to.
You knew that before going in, right?

Remember that all of these gear bonuses and expendables could potentially have actual monetary value (if I payed for packs).  I don't like playing with people who missile glitch, but to ban someone when people are getting cheated out of credits by an appalling amount of glitches every day seems unfair.

Do most of those suck for the host....yea, but you can try to invite him/her back. Are there more than a few times I randomly keep all my consumables that I used when I finished the last game........yes, but people never want to mention that one when they are complaining.

There is no excuses for cheating, you know the risks when you play the game. When you choose to play you need to be ready to accept the risk or just don't play the game.

I suppose bioware is also aware that when glitches like these happens, no one will buy their packs with money, which seems to be the biggest issue cheating brings to bioware. If there's no excuses for cheating like you said, then there better be a damn good glitch free game to back that up. People who paid for packs with money won't and shouldn't "accept the risk or just don't play the game", it's not a stock market, it's a co-op game where skills and cooperation determines the outcome of each match.

Also, most of your resolution is "Host can quit, restarting wave" -- they are not resolutions they don't solve anything. It's like whenever something happens on your computer, just restart. Umm, no, it potentially will not solve the problem, and in the case of ME3 MP, it doesn't. It will just happen again and again. Which it does.

Indeed. And some still think Bioware is Santa Claus, Bioware loves you, and so.

I see a lot of people defending the "rights of Bioware" (whose are defendable...) but never defending the rights of custommers.

In a sociological way of thinking, it is kind of near slavery where slaves defend masters without a doubt and with no self-conciousness.

me too.. i have gotten stuck in places as well but hey.... that guy has 50 million spectre packs....its a shame im stuck in a wall... they should really fix the cheats.... i dont mind being stuck in a wall

Little sarcasim for ya

This needs to be the Ta Fix list:

No Text Chat (cant type in a multiplayer game... WHAT) And if you do this dont mess up like Battlefield 3 did and put the chat all in your Face ... nice cosy spot in the upper left hand of the screen would be nice

No Mute Options (cant mute the guy blasting gansta rap or calling everyone on the team Fing Noobs)

No In-Game Buddy System (have to use a forum/Origin to find friends while other EA titles like Battlefield have a
buddy Chat system)

No- Anticheat detection (Active scan for Expliots/Hax/Weapon Mods Edited INI values with CVar checks ETC)

Needs PVP as well. (We have fought your AI for 3 Games LET US FIGHT EACH OTHER NOW!!!!!)

This game has the best, complex, and most comprehensible combat system i have ever seen. I love it ... which is why i dont wanna see it die............................................................the REAPERS CANT HAVE MY GAME!!!!!!!!

You are posting the same arguments every few posts. And its still NOT enough times. Especially the mute option.
That is the WORST part of the multiplayer. How many times I just wanted to break something because a disrespectfull guys had the microphone on and music on the background or he was ill and coughing in the microphone, or someone who is shouting all the time. I want to hear the music and sound effects of the game not distorted sounds or yelling.

I understand the "host can quit" isn't the ideal option, but it works and it does solve the situation you are in at the moment. Some of these problems will never be fixed, since it is random and is probably very difficult to recreate in a controlled setting, which is key to fixing anything. I mean, how exactly to you fix something that takes a certain set of UNKNOWN circumstances to initiate? I have used a Vanguard many times without issue, I have played many games without freezing or an enemy becoming invincible. It doesn't happen consistantly or with any kind of pattern, so I can only imagine the frustration of trying to nail down what causes some of these bugs, much less fix them.

The missile glitch is an exact science and is easily recreated, so I see that getting fixed very soon.

I am asking this out of my own ignorance to this subject and to the process that might have to happen, but why do they not just fix the missile glitch in the game? Is it difficult or impossible? Not enough time to do so? Just curious. As I stated my ignorance to this subject, I don't understand why that wouldn't be easier to do than sort through all the e-mails. Does anyone have the answer to this question?

It's not a matter of either/or. They can't re-assign the "policing" team to program bug-fixes (and if they did, it would not make fixing bugs any faster, might make it slower). This missile glitch is so rampant and so game-breaking (not to mention, arguably decreasing Bioware's revenue from microtransactions), that I can't imagine that fixing it is not a priority. But, such things take time. The glitch only started becoming a major problem in the last month or so, right? In order to fix it, the developers assigned to the task of fixing it have to 1) find out what is causing it, 2) figure out how to fix it without breaking something else important, 3) have the fix tested, to check that the fix works, and to check that it doesn't break anything unexpectedly, 4) do whatever internal documentation is required, 5) do any other internal administrative stuff that is required, and 6) deploy it. Plus more stuff that I'm not thinking of.

Software development isn't trivial. If it was, it wouldn't be so hard to find good programmers to hire!

In the meantime, the best they can do is to have the abuse team try to police the cheaters. (And I'm sure the abuse team is not exactly happy about the huge number of complaints they are probably getting, either.)

Thanks for the explaination!  Was upset, but more out of having no knowledge or understanding of what process would take place.

The same thing happened to me. I just played Gold with some guy who took out Atlas units with the M-8 Avenger in a matter of seconds, got over 300000 credits and I've spent them. Damn, I should have googled this abnormality before doing anything, I hope I don't get banned, I'm enjoying the MP way too much.

I totally agree with you in EVERYTHING. This game has a lot of bugs. Looks like they sold the game when it wasn't prepared . This game needed about three months to test it, it should have been prepared for this summer, not in february.

I don't think intelligent responses are allowed on this forum. Way to break the mold. But I must follow the masses,so ummm..."To long, didn't read. "  There we go, that should do it.

My two cents.... I agree with the concern over the lack anti-cheat monitoring. Being a Planet Side (GodStars) vet PVP would be nice, but the current system does provide a challenge especially with the Platinum match addition. Yes there are other enhancements which would be nice. But just like in real life PUG matches force the players in the know to learn and adapt to the abilities of the team. That in itself is a real big challenge at times. Sometimes Gold matches are a cake walk other times it not depending on the dynamics. Try to enjoy the game for what it is...

I doubt you will get banned since you weren't aware of it, plus cheaters have to be reported to Bioware. I've done it, and received a reply-email yesterday. However, it looks like the glitch has been fixed anyways: http://www.examiner....le-glitch-fixed

I just read the weekly balance topic and I saw the Missile Glitch is no longer exploitable.
That's a wonderful news! Now I can go back to play ME3 MP with the same frequency without worring about those cheaters.

So is the missile glitch officially fixed. I just got the Striker and am wary of even trying it out since I might in fact get the glitch, or people will think I'm cheating because I have the weapon equipped - ?!

Edit - Ah. I saw D.Shepard's post above after-the-fact. Will check the balance post to verify.

I tried my first Platinum match the other night and noticed that in every match there were players with infinite missile launchers.  In the middle of a match, I was kicked offline.  So, I hope that BioWare didn't kick me off thinking I cheated.  Short of rage quitting (also faux pas), I wasn't sure what the right etiquette is when cheaters join my match.

Why is it the Vorcha Soldiers that they choose to cheat with?  I found it odd that someone would take a Vorcha into a Platinum match over an adept or infiltrator -- both of which I'm used to seeing a lot of on Gold.  Anyway, I'm still new to Platinum.  So much to learn.

Yeah, they needed 4 months to fix a Glitch and top of that they decresed the damage of main weapons (fu.. Bioware). So we will have to wait until Christmas to see if Bioware is able to fix the glitch in the downfall in Hydra.
