Why does it matter? Its not like its competitive. Oh, you mean the little "pay for packs because we want to milk you for every little dime we can" tactic? If you truely cared about what the fans want, you wouldnt take advantage of us by taking away freedoms to play the way we want to trying to urge us to pay you in anyway possible.awaw

I don't care if people cheat - but when they're cheating starts affecting my game, yeah, that's when I take issue.

And basically this. Don't care if someone mods the game and only plays by himself or with his friends, but if you hack in a public game anyone can join you ruin the experience for others.
The game should either verify if the files have been tampered with before letting you online, or just use a server side copy for these settings instead of the host's.

What about editing the coalesced.bin with casual clothes, flycam, fov, binds, weapon tweaks etc etc..... for single player obviously.
Have not played mp since I edited it, I don't wanna lose my game coz EA thinks I Haxor.
Will that get me banned?

One game basically made everyone on the team have instant shield/health regen. I wouldn't care if my one teammate had it or if he had massive damage and instant reload. But if it's just for him. However, I don't want my game to be affected. I could be targeted for his cheating and possibly banned for it. (Someone had this issue - got massive amount of credits b/c of a cheater and spent some of it only to be banned).

However, we are being careful to ensure that the individuals flagged as cheaters are clearly and repeatedly cheating. We do not want to act against honest people.

yes it is... but what its going to boil down to is people just wanna get the points they need quick without grinding in multiplayer
Bioware kinda Created their own Problem!
if multiplayer wasnt tied to singleplayer ... im sure 50% of people prolly wouldnt even play it. Thats another point someone needs to look at before they have to release patch a year from now to give away points for the Galactic Readiness crap, cause no one plays the multiplayer anymore..
Short comings
No Text Chat
No Mute Options
No In-Game Buddy System
No- Anticheat detection
Needs PVP as well... bots are gonna get old!
That will solve the constant patches needed for AI... Humans Fight Very Different than bots.... im getting to the point to where even the scary enemies like Banshees are easy ... just move and shoot... move and shoot... wow how fun is that... Humans devise Tactics and plan better
Then your servers will always be populated with someone killing something!

Here's the thing muchacho. Any game with multiplayer is going to attract cheaters. Games that have upgrades for characters are going to attract them even more.
Nope, all there is is one sticky full of lies.Soshigenkaku wrote...
It's been made abundantly clear you don't need multi to do anything/everything in singleplayer, as such the tied to is merely a "hey I can do this too if I want, but it has no real bearing if I don't." like offering someone a cake with vanilla frosting or choclate frosting, the end result is you get cake, one just has a different flavor that you decided you wanted. The tie in does not change the fact you can ignore it completely and finish the game totally with the same endings someone who played multi gets.
