I could play Mass effect 3 FINE since release day,
i bought the prothean DLC this week-end cause i couldnt get N7 copy (they had no more at my EBgames) even if i had preordered.
BUT today, i t played a bit multiplayer, and then i wanted to continue my SOLO,
as soon i try loading my campaign it say DIRTY DISC and it boot me up to xbox HUD. i tested on 2 different xbox, disc 1 and disc 2 installed and both doing the dirty disc error. Called EA support, told me they were aware of bug...that's it, nothing to do...
Now i cant play at all, even if i try to start new game, using my ME2 character or creating a brand new one, it will say dirty disc error. ONLY IF IM LOGGED ON MY GAMERTAG. that really ****** me off. it was my day off and i used it all to try making my game work, doing long distance call for nothing. Last time i preorder a game. we pay more buck for a new release and get screw by getting a broken game. I own 2 xbox with a collection of + 100 games. ALL ORIGINAL and all were bought on their released day, and this is the FIRST time a bug like this occur.
I have worked in video game industry and im over 30, i can say: this is totally unnaceptable.
I CANNOT PLAY AT ALL.
i called EA,
i deleted my entire profile and download it back, none changed,
moved my saved game to another usb key
deleted that frigging avatar REWARD ERROR
deleted my xbox memory cache
NOTHING WORKED
Hope they plan to fix this, im really not happy with this, since it was working all fine this week end.

I have tryed using my girlfriend gamertag (on both console) and it also boot me up saying dirty disc if i attempt to start a new game, as soon i arrive in character creation. But IF IM COMPLETLY LOGGED OUT of any profil, then it will work, as i said earlier, with no way to save the game.
So maybe its not the Gamertag that being locked, but IP ? well, even offline it wont work so maybe not IP...damn it worked fine during all week...

Check and see if you have any corrupted avatar files, I had two and it kept giving me the same error, I deleted them and I haven't had the problem since. I think the corrupted files are the awards the omni-blade and the N7 helmet.

you deleted those items and were able to play after that?? Me ive deleted those couple of time and it seem useless, still dirty disc error with mass effect only (disc are new and totally clean) plus im able to play when im signed out, so its definetly not the disc or laser reader.

Yeah that's all I did. Before I found that fix on here I contacted EA tech support and told me I should contact the warranty department so they can send me an envelope for a new game.
If you look on the bright side by the time you get your game back or the replacement disc, most of the bugs should be fixed.
