But this ending IS cliche -.-

No this ending makes no sense and leaves so many questions unanswered while creating more.  I'd expect a horrible ending like this from Blizzard, not Bioware.

It seems as if a lot of people don't even understand the ending bioware has directed people to a explanation of the ending already.

This answers a lot of the questions about the ending.

If BiowarEA had this all planned they would not have changed forum rules what is it now 3 times? No they would let us rant and maybe even prod us a little so they could say gotya later. That would be the best joke in gaming history. I also don't think they would sit quiet while prices drop, orders get canceled, and returns hit a record high. Nah a joke and planning is fun lost sales and numbers aren't not really a chance of a deep well thought out plan.

Don't let that stop you if you see it as a way out though. just unban some of my zealous brothers/sisters and say haha we fool you, then change the diaper on the ending because it's full.

This is the type of ending which most creators choose when they have no idea how the fck to end their work.

But then again, for me it's like painting a masterpiece for 7 years just to smear faeces all over it when people come to the exhibition.

No one's whining. Read a few of the articles by Forbes and others and you'll realize, or perhaps you won't, that you are way off base here. If you liked it play it again. If not, join us. Otherwise it seems like you're the one whining.

Saying that the reason we're complaining is because the ending wasn't happy and Disney is flat out wrong. I'm angry because:

1) No mass relays, no Mass Effect. There's no intergalactic community. We are again alone in the universe for centuries, millenia, or forever, just with some now new permanent resident species.

2) Plot holes. So many plot holes.

3) No resolution. Meaning our choices for three games meant nothing, and we have no idea what really happened after the game except that the Reapers were beaten.

The anger at the ending is hardly a matter of uniqueness, or even that Shepard died. I would be happier if the Reapers won. At least then I have no questions.

I agree, with the explosions of the mass relays the Reapers might as well had won.

Then, how did the Normandy escape? There is no logic explanation to why they would leave Earth, even my squadmates managed to escape.

And while I can understand why there is an end of it all with Shepard making a sacrifice of him-/herself it is more cliché than an ending of surviving. I have spent more than a hundred hours in each of my characters while playing ME1 and ME2 and now BioWare is killing them all, unless I blow up the Citadel?! Well thank you...

And by the way, if the Quarians made peace with the Geth and I choose to save Shepard and destroy the Reapers (leading to the Geths extinction, what does this mean for those who let them integrate into their suits?

I am sorry BioWare but this was mostly unstisfying. Maybe you should have spent the time and resources put into the the mulitplayer on an actually worthy ending. You have made me not want to finish the game with my other characters since I do not see a point to as my Shepards never will see Liara, Miranda or Ash ever again and you have left the galaxy in a dying state without communication. Thank you.

---EDIT---
I withdraw my complaints after reading and watching: http://social.biowar...5/index/9861052

Congratulations BioWare, you managed to trick me very well.

Hey guys, lets not fight each other. if you like the endings, that is great. You don't have anything to fight for. For the people who not like the endings, lets speak up. Nothing wrong with speaking up and asking for new ones.

And much thought was given.

All that would have to be done there is to change the word controlled to planned. Meaning it was planned from the beginning to offer an option to their chosen "saviour", Commander Shepard. Obviously, they knew the cycle as they knew it wouldn't work anymore. They couldn't decide among themselves, so Shepard was chosen from the beginning to be the decider of how things would continue. The question that needs answered is- why Shepard? Tell us why he was the chosen one. Other that that, I'm all good. Overall I enjoyed the series.

Ive bookmarked this thread so when there really isn't "more" to the three endings I can remind myself that people actually thought Bioware had some genius plan from the beginning.
