The homosexual relations in this were actually done very well IMO in comparison to he dragon age one. All the gay men in that series come of as lecherous horndogs trying to seduce the PC at all costs

There are no gay male love interests in Dragon Age. There's a straight guy and three bisexuals, and let me tell you they come across exactly the same if you're playing a female character, especially in DA2. Apparently Hawke's just that magically attractive.

They flip flop sexuality depending on the gender of the pc. I'm dubbing it "Schrodinger's Sexuality"

Quoted for cleverness. And also to bump this thread. grade A entertainment.

Traynor was handled very nicely, I've got to say. She came up to my Shep's cabin and the was like "woah, you have a nice shower" and you had the option of offering her a shower or playing chess. Even if you offered the shower, you didn't have to get in with her.

From what I've seen, there's lots of failsafes in s/s relationships in ME3. You kind of have to be hitting on them to end up with a romance ultimatum question.

But I romanced Kaidan anyway so I'm not sure how that one went.

Did you have an LI at that point ? He didn't try anything for me probably because i continued mine from ME2 . He just talked about Earth , the view in Van, BC and enjoying a good beer . Then it was ordering some drinks / smalltalk and some optimistic stuff about the coming battle.

I mean if you don't have one from previous game the only heterosexuell LI you can get is Diana Ellers and come on who wants that. I guess the game/Kaiden wondered why you never got an LI and just threw him at you .

Should Bioware add an S/G/B choice to character creation in games from now on?

Yeah you can't really get ninjamanced imo. I was nice to Cortez all the way through his story with my ManShep, and though some of the paragon choices felt a bit...flirtatious, at the end of the day you can go out for a drink on purgatory and he laughs and appreciates he doesn't have any competition if you tell him you're admiring the girls. Good, non-jerky way of doing it.

That could be the key. I had a different LI in ME1 and 2. Though I thought it was clear I was with Liara in 3.

Okay, you've got me there, that's actually a really good way of putting it for the DA2 characters!

That could be it, my Shep had no LI this time around.

I honestly don't get this. I'm pretty sure every femshep had to turn down Liara in ME1. My guess would be you turned down Ashley in some way if you kept talking with her. I also turned down Traynor and Allers literally back to back. I would guess you don't have a problem with that, and that if a female character hit on your Shepard you would be fine with it. That is literally no different than Kaidan hitting on you.

I did the same thing, except was with Miranda.

I mean, telling him you're brothers afterwards kind of alleviates the pain and awkwardness and now that moment is gone.  It's all better after that.

I really liked the "brothers" comment after as well, cause that's what I wanted with Kaiden the entire time.

This, IMO, was my main problem with the game, but it was not a ******/hetero exclusive problem, it was with a lot of the crew relationships (especially in ME2).  It feelslike  when you're picking the choices (i.e. reading the paraphrased options) there are a couple ****/uninterested choices, and then one "I'd like to be a nice person here" choice.....and a large portion of the 'nice person' choices come off feeling flirtatious, despite any prior-LI choices.

Cortez was a great character, and his story was well handled in my opinion, but I felt like even before the "club ultimatum" my manshep was bein a bit frisky, which was....weird, since I was pretty dedicated to Tali at that point.

The same was true with Jack in ME2, as manshep again - I had already pursued Tali as far as it goes prior to the suicide mission, go down to talk to Jack and I'm seemingly havin trouble keepin it in my pants again.

I also thought it was relatively weird that once you make it clear to Cortez that you're not battin for his team, you stop having any interactions with him (beyond some non-cutscene comments here and there).

Because your OP and your comments thus far have all been focusing of Kaidan hitting on you.

Not all characters, regardless of sexuality. Just Kaidan.

Allers made some comment about following my male shep home, and then when I said "professional contacts only" claimed that she was always accidentally saying stuff that could be misconstrued.  During the second interview, there were no comments that might be regarded as inappropriate.

With Traynor, my male shep had the opportunity to proposition her.  But while she wanted to meet Shep in his quarters, she didn't actually do or say anything overtly suggestive while she was up there.

In ME1, you only had the Liara vs VS issue if you kept talking to them.  I quickly realized that the easiest way to dodge that issue was to cut off conversational contact with the individual I wasn't interested in before reaching that point in the conversation.

That was my only example in the game I played. I'll get back to you when I do a playthrough as FemShep.

That right there is one of the reasons I'm "being mean" to you.  The other reason is that I can't find any kittens to kick at the moment.

I can agree with this a little.

Example:
You can either be a straight witch to Vega or flirt with him the entire game. He is not an LI option but my paragon is way too nice to pull rank on a squadmate that is just having a bit of fun. Still felt kind of bad flirting with him while Kaidan was in the hospital. Lol oh well.

So you admit you would kick kittens? I really am a nicer person than you.

Straight girls have had to deal with Liara's rape face from day one.

Don't get me wrong, I did like her as a character. I was just terrified to be alone in a room with her.

Haha I bet Mr. ColdLogic woulda been all over me if I said I was terrified to be with Kaiden after our dinner chat. Luckily for him, I wasn't and I brought Kaiden to Earth along with Garrus.

2 games and a whole lot of sexual frustration. The reapers are pretty much ending civilization all across the galaxy. I suppose now's as good a time as any to come out of the closet and get some man booty.

Jeez, I'm a straight female who got hit on by women when I went to college in San Franciso, and it's both easy and inoffensive to say "no thanks". I just don't understand why it's a huge deal, honestly. "Forced" relationships is just not accurate for what Bioware has presented in their games.

I didn't get all bent out of shape when Liara hit on my straight FemShep, just say no thanks and move on.
