Calm down, people. As many have said, either he's just playing the PR game, or the interview was conducted before the whole buzz about the endings started up. Also as many have said, throwing insults at Bioware for messing up the endings is only going to worsen the situation. Be civil, and most importantly, don't give up hope just because of one interview! I don't like the endings either, but if we really want something to be done, we must keep pressing the issue, and show how committed to getting a new ending we loyal fans are! Hold the line people, hold the line!

They should just have left the ending completely mysterious you know. Shepard charges the light beam, things blow up, screen turns black, credits roll. Wooo great mystery ending. So deep and imaginative!

As true as this is, and I believe it is true, they are doing absolutely nothing to derail this mess that is spiraling further and further out of their control. All they have to do is break the silence and clear it up, without some ambiguous tweet, even if it violates whatever marketing plan they originally had.


As long as they keep silent, this hatred is going to fester for a long time.

Awww comon now Casey. I get it, you want a distinctive end to Mass Effect, but the problem is your distinctive and unforgettable ending is not unforgettable for the right reasons, but for a bad reason of completely ignoring all we've been striving for for the last five plus years.

You want us to remain enthusiastic for your product right?, for the Mass Effect franchise?.
If you leave it like this for this trilogy and Shepard's story then I very much doubt (based on the passionate responses seen here) the reception for any new Mass Effect product is going to be anywhere near as good I assure you.

Yep, they made the ending memorable alright. But it doesn't change the fact that the ending is utter garbage compared to what they used to do.
