They should just have left the ending completely mysterious you know. Shepard charges the light beam, things blow up, screen turns black, credits roll. Wooo great mystery ending. So deep and imaginative!

I don't understand where he thinks this is going. I mean they are going to lose money,they already are. Surly the smart thing to do would be to at least say you understand why people are upset,explain why you made the ending you did,and if you are not going to fix it at least explain why with out calling people stupid. In other words treat your customers with respect,at least that is what I was told to do when i worked at Wal Mart. It seems like my manager at Wal Mart knows more about PR then the head of a multi million dollar company.

sort of polarizing reaction that the ends have had with people–debating
what the endings mean and what’s going to happen next, and what
situation are the characters left in. That to me is part of what’s
exciting about this story. There has always been a little bit of mystery
there and a little bit of interpretation, and it’s a story that people
can talk about after the fact.

It's good to have a story that people talk about, but ONLY if they are talking and debating about themes and the meaning of the characters' actions. If people are debating what the **** happened at the end, you didn't write a good ending. Would LotR have had a stellar ending if it all ended with Frodo and Sam about to be fried alive while the rest of the heroes were surrounded by orcs? Would Revenge of the Jedi have been greatly improved if we stopped at the Death Star 2 exploding - without knowing if Luke survived or if the Rebel fleet was winning the space battle? No, because those cut-off points provide no closure and at the end of a series that is what is most important, CLOSURE. We shouldn't have to speculate about the situation the characters are left in. We shouldn't have to interpret anything to figure out the immediate state of the setting, we should be told. We should be told that our work wasn't for nothing, that there is hope for those left.

Doen't make me more optimistic either, The thing is we will be able to speak with our money soon enough, we all know DLC is coming... 3 things could happen (in order of likely hood)

1. It's some bogus DLC that has nothing to do with the ending - BOYCOTT

2. its the ending DLC for $10 - Some will BOYCOTT, some will buy then never buy bioware again,, some will not miss the $10 and be happy.

3. its the free ending DLC - Everyone is happy.

Also as many have said, throwing insults at Bioware for messing up the endings is only going to worsen the situation. Be civil, and most importantly, don't give up hope just because of one interview! As true as this is, and I believe it is true, they are doing absolutely nothing to derail this mess that is spiraling further and further out of their control. As long as they keep silent, this hatred is going to fester for a long time.

So...LotR should have ended at the point where Frodo walks into Mount Doom. The Matrix trilogies should have ended with Neil fighting Smith. Star Trek (the latest one) should have ended as the Enterprise struggles against the wormhole.

hahahaha exactly....and i hate the boycott thing because as much as i hate these endings, i still love this universe, but in order to get the point across anything to do with BW, EA, and ME will have to go......
