Everything he said about the DLC and the Endings is ridiculous (didn't care to read the rest, sorry). Putting a positive spin on something does not answer a question and it DEFINITELY does not address the issues that many people are bringing forth. I have NO respect for this man atm.
I don't believe that the DLC issue was spun in any direction. It was just blatantly obvious that it was already on the disc at launch and although optional, should have been available to everyone solely on the fact that the content was on the disc(s) that we consumers purchased. The way he words it makes it seem like we're confused little children who don't know what we're talking about.
Secondly, no one is debating anything, we're only asking for answers. And please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I've never thought there was mystery or interpretation in any choice or event in ME. I made a decision, sure, I didn't know what the effect would be, but I knew that there would be some type of definite effect. There would be something that would correlate to the choice I made and would make sense. Nothing about the ending(s) provide this.
This is pure ludicrous *sigh*

You are not alone.  This is getting ridiculous quick fast and in a hurry.

He said so much without saying anything. Typical vague don't-want-to-upset-anyone answer... :(

And that's why you don't own a business.

Next time you go to a restaurant and they screw up your order, eat it. How dare you be unthankful and complain about it.

I am so disgusted. Disgusted to the point where I am disgusted at myself for having the same first name as Casey Hudson.

So he wants the endings to be unforgettable, much like a man in a clock tower wanting to be remembered.

Same. At the same time though I wouldn't make such a mediocre ending though. :pinched:

The premise wasn't half bad (a bit too Deus Ex and a bit too depressing) but there is just so much that piles onto it that frustrates me.

Like the lack of closure and variance and etc.

And you could arguably say its a cliffhanger but if it is then they did a bad job at it. They could have fixed that up a bit and let Shepard ask the kid something like 'But what about the relays and my crew/the ones I care about?' and maybe the kid has an answer or refuses to answer...or something

Even though this may be the prequel to a "Fallout 3 Broken Steel" type ploy which could or could not redeem the series it will still set an unfortunate precedent.

Hudson's remarks did seem pretty lazy, at the risk of seeming out of touch. I haven't beat it yet, so I cannot give an analysis on the ending personally. But if I believed in what my writer's did I'd go to bat for them instead deflecting the question with non-speak. That is telling in and of its self.

seriously though, I don't think this is BioWare's final response to the issue just yet. Also, who knows when this interview was taken, I'll hold the line for now and should they decide to leave it at this and just ignore all of their fans, well, then I'm simply not buying their games ever again, or EA's for that matter.

yeah that is how I see it.  i would love to see this fixed but if it isn't that just means money that would have gone to Bioware/EA will instead end up in the hands of Nintendo or some other company.  They can't win this.  Either I get a new ending or they lose my money, either way I win and they lose.

How closely do you keep track of the fan reaction when it comes to that kind of stuff?

"Oh, we pay very close attention to it. It’s very important to us and we will always listen to feedback, interpret it and try and do the right thing by our fans."

I didn't want to say this before.... but if they take this route, maybe they DO need to be fired.

Believe me that's the last thing I wanted to say.

TBH at this point, I honeslty couldn't give two **** about a new ending, I'm already done with this game and I'm done with EA/Bioware. I seriously just want them to admit what they did and acknowledge how we really feel. I don't want them to skirt around the issue and constatly tweet and post facebook updates about some cool armor or weapon, especailly when all the comments on their updates are complaints from the fans/consumers. It's like ignoring someone chopping off your index finger.

Excellent plan.  Let's all move on.  No sense buying a copy of this game.  They ain't gonna fix it!  I'll make sure to tell my friends.  And have them tell ten friends.

Oh, what's that?  You read "The Tipping Point" too?  Wonderful.  Now we can all go extoll our knowledge about why pissing off EARLY customers is a very... very... bad idea.

Yeah if there is one thing I learned working at Wal mart it's that is you ignore complaints in can come back to bite you.  I used to have a manager who never responded to complaints about the store being dirty and stuff like that ang uess what happened?  People stopped coming and he was fired and corprate had to bring in someone new to turn the place around. The new manager listened to people and got things fixed and the store running smoothly and now it makes more money then ever.  If you ignore your customers you will not make money in the long run.

The Collector Edition is announced too but the price tag is hefty at $149 USD. However, I am SURE the $149 is well worth the penny vs. the $79.99 USD on the N7 Collector's Edition on this garbage...
