The whole interview is basically him replying with "insert vanilla comment", etc.

No real passion, no "look this is how I feel". At least be real about it.

the sort of polarizing reaction that the ends have had with people

That's uniting reaction against endings . I wonder where did Mr. Hudson see "polarizing". He evaded issues with Deus ex machina and plotholes in the endings. Oh, and a complete lack of common sense. Well, if they wanted to make their game unforgettable, they made it. It will top chart for the worst ending of video game.

well maybe people can stop making 10000 threads over the ending now they aren't changing anything

it's time to move on peoples.

just breathe in and out

Excellent plan.  Let's all move on.  No sense buying a copy of this game.  They ain't gonna fix it!  I'll make sure to tell my friends.  And have them tell ten friends.

Oh, what's that?  You read "The Tipping Point" too?  Wonderful.  Now we can all go extoll our knowledge about why pissing off EARLY customers is a very... very... bad idea.

:wizard:

Yeah I plan on telling my brother not to bother buying the game because of the ending.  if he listens that is one sale they have lost.

Yeah, He got what he want now.

In fact, he got both unforgettable and unforgivable. The only major debating right now is
Should we gonna buy their next product ?

All I read was a bunch of useless bull**** talking about listening to fan reactions and then disregarding fan reactions entirely when a question is asked about them directly. Alright, I think this is it. Everyone needs to stop supporting Bioware. No big deal. Plenty of other great games and development teams out there. Guild Wars 2 is gonna be great from the looks of it!

The only polarization here exists between the developers and the fans.

BIOWARE KNOWS YOUR EVERY MOVE!! THEY HAVE ASSUMED CONTROL!

I'd be more inclined to believe they're doing that to try to plug some holes in a sinking ship. If you think THESE boards are hostile right now , visit the official TOR forums. After the first full month, dissent started to flow in and it's only gotten worse as issues continue to go unresolved and BW continues to be silent on them. (Sound familiar?)

There seems to be a new support strategy at Bioware, adopted from EA: Just put our fingers in our ears and make noise until the bad people go away. It was evident with DA2, evident with TOR, and will likely be the same with ME3.

Despite that, I'm going to continue to hold the line!

You know this interview reminds me of Rock Berman defeanding Voyager, the first two seasons of Enterprise, and the TNG movies when the fans said they were no good.  where is Rick Berman now?  Oh he ran the series into the ground to the point that no one thought it could be brought back and when it was brought back against the odds he was not invited to work on it.

Considering the question posed to him was "What are you thoughts about the reaction to the endings" i'd say it was fairly recent.

For those that don't want to read the entire interview, I'll copy and paste the question and answer here.

What are your thoughts on the reaction to the game’s endings?
I didn’t want the game to be forgettable, and even right down to the
sort of polarizing reaction that the ends have had with people–debating
what the endings mean and what’s going to happen next, and what
situation are the characters left in. That to me is part of what’s
exciting about this story. There has always been a little bit of mystery
there and a little bit of interpretation, and it’s a story that people
can talk about after the fact.

Casey needs to run for Parliament in the next election. He'd fit right in.

No, not despite, but especially because of.

We all shall hold the line here.

Or else, we might as well just 'defeat' Bioware into destruction by not buying any of their products from now on.

The anwser to that is whether Bioware can man up and talk about it, instead of hoping it goes away. Just address, adress it soon. Let us know your thoughts. If Bioware thinks it is a great ending they should have the guts to come and say it's a great ending, and this is why. This ignoring the situation makes them look guilty and a bit cowardly.

I don't even consider it a protest at this point I am just not spending money on a company that makes games i know I will hate.  I am just buying other games.  They are the ones who will lose here no matter what.  they could of had our money but by doing this they lost it.  is that why they went into business,to lose paying customers?

I don't understand how hard it is to get a straight answer from these people. I mean, the're not politicians, they're game developers.

I think this is the final nail in the coffin, unfortunately.
