it appears they forgot about Mass Effect 1 and 2 and 99& of Mass Effect 3, when thtey did that ending.

becuase it goes against everything Mass Effect, and RPG and Interactibve Storytelling stand for, it would be like ending a Batman movie with Batman saying "What the Hell,Sure Joker I will join you, wich hospital do you want to blow up first"

Yes of course they made the ending terrible so they could make it memorable

Are they serious?
All the fans squabbling to understand a confusing and plot hole ridden ending is entirely different to a healthy debate.
There is nothing exciting about an unanswered ending that leaves the Audience dissapointed.
I really hope they come to there senses and change the ending through dlc, all of us mass effect fans must continue to "hold the line" and keep pressing for a better more conclusive ending.

Like others have said, Ocean Marketing didn't enjoy that bad PR.

People losing all trust and interest in the Bioware brand is bad PR.

You know after finishing the game I felt confused, disappointed, depressed, and maybe even betrayed. (if that's not too dramatic) All I hoped for was a fix.

After reading this interview I feel insulted. I hope not one person buys their dlc. I hope the whole of Asia reads these comments and refuses to buy the game. I hope somebody gets fired over this.

I have up 'til this point avoided hyperbole, but it might be time to start vowing to never give BW one red cent again.

Why are you all so disappointed? It's "classic" Hudson-style interview, and as usual – it's all about nutshell twaddle with only few words that actually mean something. No, I don't wanna to talk, that Casey is "bad guy", but really, he always told too much but meanwhile don't told something even bit important. Clear PR.

Guys, there is a silver lining. If you click on the link and read the next section of the interview, he says that there's more DLC coming and that what they do with it will be influenced by fan opinion of the game, so don't give up hope yet.

YES, we shant forget the upcoming DLC and how our opinion influences it!

"Yeah, tho do I underthstand you guyths wanted the Batarian Tholdier to have inferno grenadeths or frag grenadeths? Thith really matterths guyths. Your opinionths really count!"

Yes the end is memorable.

In the same way the Titanic's maiden voyage was memorable.
The way Zidane's last football match was memorable.
The way the Hindenburg docking was memorable.
The way the Challenger shuttle launch was memorable.

We'll remember the ending to ME3 not because of epic tragedy, or incredible writing, revelation or as a fine ending to a fantastic series.

We'll remember it as an unmitigated disaster.

So many problems with all the endings. I am also seriously considering not buying anything from Bioware So many things wrong with the ending with the science of it all, crew members on the Normandy (Who were in the middle of combat on the earth when Shepard made her push to the beacon, trying to outrun a shock wave (which would have left them between galaxies with no planets, no interstellar travel (Travel to even near solar systems will take a long time let alone trying to get to the fringes). And too many other issues. This is not an ending which will be remembered for its ethical debate or anything like that (Like the collector base). It will be remembered for Bioware reaming their loyal customers with a Krogan. And Single player DLC? How? DLC should be after the fact of the ending not done before the endings otherwise that is just a money grubbing effort. And if the DLC "planned" explains or fixes stuff, then it is still a greed thing cause they purposely set it up to appease their customers by us paying them money....."great single player content" more like money making content.

the only thing that influences developers and producers, is profit, Developers never listen to fans unless they have to

if ME3 was flopping, new endings would already be announced!!!!

Look how badly we've been treated lately.

BioWare removed content from the main game and charged us for it as a DLC unlock.

They lied to us about the fact that it was completely optional, separate content, when it was in fact a core story experience.

They lied to us about the fact that the DLC was developed after the main game, as gamers have found hard evidence of it existing on the original disc.

They gave us a universally reviled ending to the game trilogy many of us have invested hundreds of hours in.

And now, they insult us by dodging the issue altogether.

By saying "People are starting to get it" with regards to the DLC. No, we still don't "get it", we're still outraged, you just pretend we aren't.

By saying "We wanted the ending to be memorable", sidestepping the fact that the ending was abysmal, pretending that it's "open to interpretation" and "mysterious", when it really is just an absolute disaster. By not even addressing the thousands of fan comments about how bad the ending was, but instead saying something like "It was meant to be like that".

I can't believe we've been treated like this.

I actually don't mind paying for day one DLC. I DO mind being lied to about its purpose.

I could have lived with the game having a crappy ending. The Sopranos, Battlestar Galactica, had pretty unsatisfying "mysterious" endings, but they didn't compromise how good the rest of the content was. But again, I DO mind that they're trying to sweep this under the rug. If they said "Sorry guys, we admit it, the endings sucked", I could have forgiven them, eventually. But no, they chose to defy us, patronise us, and insult us.

Amazing how quickly a company can absolutely destroy its reputation.

Guys remember Hold the line. the fact that he is doing any damage control proves that he is worried. Winning is very easy for us all we have to do is not spend money. They are only in business because we spend money on their products. I don't know about you but I think they need my money more then I need their depressing ripped off from 2001 and BSG games.

Man, some of you are really angry over the game. Anyway...if you just accept the indoctrination explanation (which is what it is) you can rest your easy minds and get some sleep tonight. Wait...this is the BSN, nevermind...continue complaining.

What are your thoughts on the reaction to the game’s endings?
I didn’t want the game to be forgettable, and even right down to the
sort of polarizing reaction that the ends have had with people–debating
what the endings mean and what’s going to happen next, and what
situation are the characters left in. That to me is part of what’s
exciting about this story. There has always been a little bit of mystery
there and a little bit of interpretation, and it’s a story that people
can talk about after the fact.

This whole mistery/interpretation sounds to me as if the indoctrination-theory could turn out to be correct.

Watch this:

On topic: Are. You. F'cking. Kidding?

I have always tried to be positive around here and not a hater, but this is among the most pathetic thing I've ever seen.

EDIT: AND WHAT THE HELL YOU MEAN "WHAT HAPPENS NEXT" ? You promised us NO LOSE ENDS AND CLOSURE. That is called a "lie" fyi.

I think 'polarizing' is a diplomatic and non-committal way of saying 'oops'.

Seriously though, aren't these the same endings that were leaked back in November? The same ones that the people who saw them panned? The Doctors responded by saying that one of Bioware's biggest strengths was their humility.

Well, stone-walling a significant backlash from the fans about your game's ending reeks of something but humility is not what springs to my mind.

These comments just have to have been made prior to release and only published now because nobody could be that dense and utterly dismissive about the reaction, surely.
