Yes the end is memorable.
In the same way the Titanic's maiden voyage was memorable.
The way Zidane's last football match was memorable.
The way the Hindenburg docking was memorable.
The way the Challenger shuttle launch was memorable.
We'll remember the ending to ME3 not because of epic tragedy, or incredible writing, revelation or as a fine ending to a fantastic series.
We'll remember it as an unmitigated disaster.
As sad as it is, I'm still laughing my ass off xD

Man, some of you are really angry over the game. Anyway...if you just accept the indoctrination explanation (which is what it is) you can rest your easy minds and get some sleep tonight. Wait...this is the BSN, nevermind...continue complaining.
Its not so much that we are angry over a game, we are angry over a poorly designed product that we purchased.
If you bought a chair that was shipped to you and it was unfinished and was missing a leg wouldn't you want that company to explain itself, and fix the problem?

For those that don't want to read the entire interview, I'll copy and paste the question and answer here. What are your thoughts on the reaction to the game’s endings?
I didn’t want the game to be forgettable, and even right down to the
sort of polarizing reaction that the ends have had with people–debating
what the endings mean and what’s going to happen next, and what
situation are the characters left in. That to me is part of what’s
exciting about this story. There has always been a little bit of mystery
there and a little bit of interpretation, and it’s a story that people
can talk about after the fact.
So they want our last moment in the Mass effect series to be one of hate and anger that we felt when we reached the abomination that is called a ending?

lets take a comparision study:
Eidos Montreal, Deus Ex Human Revolution:
"We didn’t know what they were for. We saw them as a way to break the tension,” admitted the dev. But the fights weren’t designed until well into the game development and the team were pressed for time. “We figured by putting in enough ammo in the room, we would be fine and could move on… next time we’ll think about them more. They were a big part of the game and we should have put more effort into them. We are truly sorry about that.”

OP (Original Poster)
The difference, eidos montreal accepted their mistake and have made clear on their intentions to learn from it and not allow it to happen again, bioware however is seemingly oblivious to it.

I don't think I've ever posted on here before. I've been playing and buying Bioware games since the first Baldur's Gate, but I'm ready to move on. It's not even for how the game ends (but yes...it makes no sense and has no closure), but for how they can't even talk with their "fans", even though they'll do an interview and say how they are the most important thing to them and they "listen".
That's the way i'm leaning. Dude I played Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, Kotor, Jade Empire, Both Dragon Age's, and of course Mass Effect. I remember pre-ordering the first mass effect even. Now Bioware sits behind their Casey hudson non-speak like cowards. They gave us an awful ending with plotholes galore, and they don't even have the guts to defend it.

I
am upset that my Shepard acted out of character, destroyed everything he
worked for,and did more damage then the villains. Now I would be
really happy with a Shepard lives ending but I went into this figuring
that Shepard dieing would be the default ending,I am just upset he died
for nothing.
Since I was a kid Star Trek 2 has been one of my
favorite movies and I cry every time I see Spock die but it doesn't
leave me depressed like the Mass Effect 3 ending because Spock died for
something,he saved his friends and gave Kirk a second chance to make
things right with his family. That is something worth seeing a hero die
for.
Here is an example of a Shepard dies ending i would have
liked. it would have made me tear up but i would have been happy with
it and it would leave me with sense of hope. When I played the games I
did everything I could to keep the team alive and unite the races so
here is my ending. Shepard is in a situation where he can defeat the
Reapers and live but he would be risking the lives of his team after
losing so many friends earlier in the game he decides he is not going to
lose anyone else so he goes on a suicide mission that saves the Galaxy.
Cut to a few years later we are on the Citidel. We see that the races
are united in a way they never were before, the cousil is not just made
up of three older races controlling everything every race that helped
fight the Reapers now has a voice in it and races that were fighting
eachother are now working together. Tali is seen walking around with
out her suit,Garus is now in charge of the military, and now this is
where things change based on a choice the player makes. There is a
statue of Shepard and Liara is talking about now if she was not
Shepard's LI she is telling about group of school children about
Shepard,if she was Shepard's LI she is talling a child about it and in
the end she says "your father was a hero" roll credits. that ending
shows Shepard paying a price but it shows that there was a reason and
that there is hope and that he died making the galaxy a better place and
maybe even saving his family.
Anyone else like this idea?

Thate gave me chills. "Your father died as a hero." Would have made me give a standing ovation if your LI (Ashley in my game) said that. Why couldn't Bioware do that instead fo the non-sense they gave us.

Because it wasn't in the scripts of either 2001 or BSG.

This was pretty much the exactly wrong thing to say: doesn't address any of the criticisms, acts like their existence is a good thing and overplays how many people really liked the bad ending. They seem to not want to give up on the lost cause that is their ending.DoctorCrowtgamer wrote...

A memorable ending indeed... one that I will remember everytime I see the brandname. I'll think twice about buying their games after DA2 and ME3. I didn't buy DLC for DA2 and I will not for ME3 (already regretting buyting day 1 DLC). My SWtoR account is down, NO more money from me.
