Just wanna take a bit of a break from the ending topics and focus on the crown jewel of this game, Jessica Chobot as Diana Allers. Even still, I don't understand the point of this character. She doesn't contribute much to the story, except for War Assets, and we know how useful those turned out to be in the end. She's overly sexualized, especially with that *** of hers, but it's never utitilized in a proper sex scene. So i don't know what the point of her brow raising appearance was. And then there's the voice acting...
There is an event horizon of awfulness in Chobot's voice acting. I seriously haven't seen acting this dull and boring since January Jones in X-men First class. If they want to put obvious fan service in their game, why Jessica Chobot? Miranda Lawson's appearance was fan service, but at least her character was important and played by a talented and respectful actress.
Let's talk about Diana Allers for a moment.

To get IGN on side! No im real not sure although if i knew about the uselessness of war assets i would have just save and reloaded and told her to get of the ship if it was dramatic enough!

5 points of assets.. is that worth the space she took up on my ship?
Second play-through Shepard says no.

To appeal to a certain demographic of gamers. Specifically the teenage boy uber violence combined with oversexualised underclad women.

I kept forgetting about her in the bottom of the ship to be honest, the character did not appeal to me at all... her face seemed wrong somehow to me. Only time I would remember is when I went the wrong way on the ship or got a message about an interview. So whether she is there or not, I found her mostly forgetable in the end. Now if the reporter had been a geth, that might have made me look twice.

She herself has publicly admitted that she has no talent for VO. She did the job just because she is a fan, and Dr. Ray asked her to.

Butter face. Seriously...I'm not a furry. I don't find chipmunks attractive.

I agree, I almost passed out from boredom once when she was interviewing sheppard.
And then was it just me or did she try to hook up with Shep at one point? needless to say my shep was like gtfo of my room, tali's shotgun is going up your ***.
But, really, I didn't mind. I didn't mind when she came on the ship or anything else. Any flaw in ME3 seemed totally insignificant compared to the majority of its badassery... until the ending.

I honestly don't even know who Jessica Chobot is. As for Diane, there were a few humorous lines between her and traynor over the intercom. I suppose something had to go in that room.

You get what, like 15 assets overall off her? (5 for her and 2 other asset modifying interviews, in my experience)
She seems so pointless in the end. And the way she threw herself at my Femshep was rather annoying too. No subtlety at all :/

I didn't even know who she was, I just saw this out of place character who seemed to be a parody of reality TV and told her to take a hike.

She is terrible, that is all I have to say on the matter.

Terribly written, terribly voices, obvious attention grab. There is nothing to talk about really.

She was annoying, hot as she was. No purpose whatsoever.

Supposedly the two interviews you did with her will help you gain more War Asset. Personally I think it is a gigantic waste of time. She doesn't interview you enough to make you feel like she's an asset, and she certainly does too much if you consider as a minor character (like Emily Wong).

A line I wish Ashley had:
"The Commander shouldn't be Baby-sitting a damn Groupie. And he/she knows it."

I like Chobot IRL.... but holy christ was she awful in this game. She sounded like she was reading a book, not actually having conversations.
Also what the hell happened to her face. Garrus looks more human than she does.

You know I defended her character before release but my god her delivery of dialogue is just dreadful. Shep says no next time for sure.

Worst VA is the history of VA's and her character model was just plain creepy.. Jessica is quite attractive, but it didn't translate well to the digital form. The thing that bugged me most was her wooden performance... she just didn't seem very "into" it.

I think you also get paragon or renegade points. But I did love telling her to get lost and Shepard's response. Something along the lines of you're a reporter and I fly a stealth ship.

Playthrough 2 Shepard is gonna let her on and then instantly kick her off. Hope she doesn't get too settled in.
