its all coming from concerned and conscientious gamers, any amount (large or small) helps both the kids and our cause.

This is an unmitigated pr disaster for Bioware, there is no question about that. We were given a perfect game until the last 1% where things went south really quick. I really support the way the OP has chosen to protest the endings and I applaud the funds that have been raised for this charity. Well done. If nothing comes of this whole event at least the money goes to a good cause. I last checked and saw 28k had been raised, that is fantastic. Well done.

Precisely. Whether or not the ending is changed/modified/expanded upon, I care not. Any emotional void created by the... odd... ending choice has been entirely filled by the community.

The line on us is that we are whiny children.  Hard to make such an ignorant dismissive claim when we accomplish this.  It also focuses some of this energy in an entirely positive direction, and helps all of us feeling down about this situation see some good come out of it.
