I'm proud of being a ME fan today, even if it is partly about the desire to change the endings, or rather give a proper closure to the game we all love: finish the game.

$40,000 in little over a day? Damn, you guys are impressive. I think I'll need to do my part too: although I am of the belief that we might just be getting the actual ending on DLC shortly (they've hinted at it too much + stuff in the game), it's better to be safe than sorry. And besides the money is going to charity so either way no harm done.

Grats at raising over 40k guys. As Garrus would say, "Impressive!"

I'm gonna toss in the ten dollars I was saving for the next DLC. No point in saving it now.

Guess I'll do it later, I can't seem to get to the website. Most likely too many people hitting it at the same time.

Holy mac and cheese Batman! Good job community, this is a positive way to make our point.

This is what the game media should be talking about when they talk about us.

This is a very positive and mature way to get the point across about our discouragement with the endings. To bad none of the media outlets that claim that we are all immature whiny children stomping our feet screaming will cover this. Got to keep the audience thinking we are just insane and that the endings are complete and bring closure...

Sweet, if nothing else we accomplished that (I threw in $25 USD last night)

Perhaps BioWare could turn this into a PR victory by matching the donation and promising to make an "endings DLC" that offers alternate endings for fans to "play out their story in even more ways". Just spin it positively (and do a good job, but I have faith that they could get it right this time, given how amazing the rest of the game is), and I doubt anyone here would complain.
Being a college student with no real income, I can't donate much, but I'll make a small donation soon.
This post is an excellent donation, you know - brilliant suggestion. Bioware should hire you!

Wow, that's really impressive. Sadly I am unable to donate due to lack of cash but, I would if I could. If there's no ending dlc, there's at least this.

Hah man, this is daft. I still havn't quite worked out how this will make them change the end, but it's brilliant to see so much going to charity and see the community unite (even it is unite against Bioware). The amount raised is immense!
The amount of sites trashtalking this achievement is appalling.

If Mike Gamble hears that... well, he probably laughs and says "What upstarts, i earn that every month".
However, still a great thing :3 Happy to participate.

The title is wrong.
The donation movement wasn't started to protest at the ending, it was started after a couple of articles in certain websites accused the angry fans to be a bunch of whiners with a deluded sense of entitlement (not an actual quote but that's the spirit of what was said).
The goal is to show they're wrong and that Mass Effect fans can also channel their frustration into something positive.
