EDIT: never mind, the receipt does indeed list Child's Play directly.LadyMalstroem wrote...

I'd like to donate, but can someone tell me how I can be certain the money actual goes to Child's Play?
The reciept clearly says that your payment goes directly to Child's Play, not through a third party.

If we want to get serious money for this charity then we need the mainstream gaming media to support us.

This needs to be forwarded to all the game journalist that called us whiners and immature babies and **** like that. Show them, that we talk with not only our mouths, but our HEARTS.
While I do certainly agree I don't think we should do it in an obnoxcious "I told you so" manner. I don't say that to sound preachy, but because you people are all better than that. I know so because these donations prove it.
It wouldn't be to be obnoxious. It would be to show them. "Hey, we aren't these whiny babies that you like to call us, unlike you guys in gaming journalism, WE are actually doing something constructive while looking to get things fixed"

THIS.
This is about a statement. WE are doing what we believe to be RIGHT.

True enough. I hope that I didn't give the impression that I was making any assumptions about you or anyone. If so I'm sorry.

I'm not self-promoting; I have no stake in the charity and have not provided a single cent.
That said, what's being done is INCREDIBLE. Even if Bioware and EA do nothing, you guy's have raised ELEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS in UNDER TWENTY-FOUR HOURS without need to advertise, getting help from only Mass Effect fans.
That's ****ING INSANE.
Keep up the amazing work!

It'll definitely buy them some good will and show that they actually take this situation seriously. Also, charity!

Whew thank goodness. I was afraid my lousy communication skills had lead me to accidentally say something offensive.
