Okay I'm bored of this crap now ....
Is there anyway to make the game so it doesn't crash my whole PS3 ???
I can see the day it's not gonna boot again after a crash, and this will be because of this stupid bug ... It crashed my PS3 so it has to do a scan once I boot it up again ..! This is ridiculous
It's been a couple of time it's also at the end of a Multiplayer game, I wasted over 5 games easily because of this, wasting my time because it doesn't credit me when I'm at wave 10 or so, this is REALLY frustrating..... I had over 10 total crashes since I bought the game, and it's WAY too much
I noticed there was a small patch, I was hoping it would fix it but obviously it didn't...
Actually most of the crashes I got were before joining, or while connecting to EA, but whatever that's REALLY irritating to see my PS3 crash completly because of 1 game, no other game does that on a regular basis it's very rare ....
So whats the plan, when is this gonna be fix ...?? Before my PS3 stop working functionning hopefully ???
PS3 Freeze ...... AGAIN and AGAIN

I don't get it. I have only had one freeze and that was at the end of the mars mission at the start of the game. Also I have one friend who has played for countless hours and has never had any problems. Then I come on here and I see all these people having problems, it sucks. Believe me I'm over crashes because of Skyrim, I had over 50 with that game. It's just annoying you can't by a game these days that works from day one unless it has a day one patch but even then that's not always a fix. Honeslty from last dozen or so games I have learned that if you want to play a game without too many problems then you should wait at least two months so things are mostly sorted out. The only game that I played recently that does not have problems is uncharted 3, of course the reason why is because it was made for the ps3.
It's getting really old having issues, having games unplayable. I don't get how some of these bug/problems even get past the developers. There is no way during testing that some of this stuff doesn't happen which leads me to believe that testing a game is something of the past. It's like they work really really hard on a game for 90% of the time then the last 10% is slapped together really fast to make release day. I would much rather a release of a game be pushed back as many times needed then for me to risk ruining my console, losing countless hours a gameplay due to freezing and finally watching a game run on 3 frames per second.
Even though as of now I'm having no problems with ME3 I still feel for the people who are. I feel for anyone who suffers any of these problems. I am over it, I'm sure I speak for many people. Look at Skyrim, it won game of the year. This is great and all, I did love it but here I am sitting on my couch watching an award show and seeing Skyrim win GOTY. The funny thing is I was watching this because Skyrim would no longer run on my ps3, it was unplayable and had been for months and still it wins best game of the year, are you kidding?! What a joke. If I were sitting in that room with Bethesda and had made a working game that was great like Portal, Batman, or Uncharted 3 I'd start throwing drinks at them. BTW Portal should have won. Just because a game is long doesn't give it the right to win. The longer and bigger the game the more bugs and problems. Out.

Regretfully its just poor coding on the consoles. It appears the xbox 360 forums are swarmed with issues themselves. This type of stuff is just common place im afraid

I played through the campaign about 3-4 hours, just took control of the Normandy, however I didn't get any freeze ( that I remember ), in Single player... However, a bug that did happen to me in both Single and Multiplayer is the character floating in the air, after trying to get in a ladder for example, in Multiplayer I couldnt shoot anything but I could be shoot while I was floating...
Well, eventually, that ALSO made my PS3 totally freeze ... another hard boot...
So yeah well, maybe it's because you didn't play too much Multi, most of my play time is online.
** The floating bug was ALSO in Mass effect 2... I got it quiet a few time it was easy to reproduce, you just had to Charge ( Vanguard ) the dog like creature you get sometimes, and half the time I ended up floating in the air, and could not move.... This indicates me it could be long, VERY long before they fix some of those bugs ....
Like you mentionned, I DON'T GET how it got pass them ... I mean in 1 week I had to hard boot at LEAST 10 times, that is for sure at least once every time I play ... this is totally pathetic.....

I just had four freezes in a row, literally. Everyone on my ME3 playing list on PSN went offline because of it. I'm starting to think I may just go back to my 32,000 gamescore and buy a new Xbox 360.

ok im going to repeat what ive said in other threads this could be an issue with the games engine (unreal3) as i know other games with that engine when pushed to max have had weird issues including terrible frame rates

Unreal and PS3 don't mix well. Crystal Tools and PS3 work well.

I froze once on mars and once on the academy mission. I've frozen several times on mumtiplayer too. This can't be good for ps3 health.

Yeah I am afraid to play it due to the freezing issue! Why do companies now a days just release a game thinking that can release a patch later?
Now my PS3 is acting up as I have to completely turn it off when the game freezes then the PS3 has to do a check of it's file system and yesterday when I turned on my PS3 it said that I had the wrong hard drive in it. Had to turn it off and back on again and it worked but it is concerning me that it could cause major issues.

Mine freezes usally after 6 hours on SP. If I'm online, it would usually occur every 2 hours or so.

which brings up the question? How many more unexpected restarts can my ps3 take before the HDD fails to boot? ;-) Bioware can I send you my bill? Since its due to your lazy coding that's causing my ps3 to freeze, which I have to expectantly power off, which is degrading the life span HDD.
Mass Defect 3..3 x more the issue...Save your PS3 HDD from BIOWARE!

Since the game has been out for nearly half a year i think its save to assume they are never gonna patch it.

Really I recall Mass Effect 2 using this same engine and not having very many problems at all compared to this amount but then again Mass Effect 2 didnt have multiplayer so that could affect it IMO they should have never had multiplayer in Mass Effect 3.

Multiplayer is really the only thing that crashes for me on my PS3, but then again the servers are just plain crap on PS3 so yea there is that.
