Let's not get carried away, here. An actual ending is all we need.lorderon99999 wrote...
Just finished the game and went directly on the forums to see the opinion of the people about the ending...and omg....this is fantastic! I was sure I was alone....AND PLEASE BIOWARE...if ever you make a DLC dont give us a 3 happy disney ending in exchange of our 3 bad endings....we want an ending with an appropriate closure and sense......
BTW can we sue a Compagnie for making false ads of their product?

Anyone tell Gamefront about the additional $10k donation yet?
Additional?
What is it in addition to?
People have donated $24k+ to the Child's Play charity while seeking media attention for the endings.
We may not get altered endings (free, or at all), but in about a twenty-four hour period, people have raised $24,000+ to go straight to hospitals for kids to play video games.

This article was a cathartic read. I feel like those of us who are unhappy with the game have been receiving nothing but insults and backlash. Meanwhile, here's someone who not only took the time to play the game and listen to fans, but really articulates the core of most of the issues. Hopefully more like this article start popping up.
Did you see the Jeremy Jahn video? It's absolutely wonderful and instantly made me feel a lot better than I've felt since finishing the game.

This article basicly explains my feelings. It is almost word to word really.
The ones who claim we are '' whiny babies'' should take a loot at this , Then talk about their counterpoints other than '' Hey it's Bioware's game ! They can end it however they want ! '' kind of logic only sounds more and more like Star-child's logic.
If we get the awareness to our TRUE concerns...maybe some people will actually start to LISTEN before insulting us.
Thanks to the writer, you earned my respect along with many I am sure.

This is how you back up an opinion, not by saying it's creative choices and calling us whiners. You form it with facts, like he DID.

I'm forced to pick between three choices, which I'm really ok with.
However, I'm not ok with being misled to think that any of my choices actually mattered; except for which of three cut-scenes I want to see.
I don't want or need a happy ending. I want closure to something I spent probably too much on.

I smell EA doing a cash grab and ruining Biowares good name with DLC.. First its the online pass crap you have to purchase.. along with Day one DLC.. next will be ending DLC..
I just hope the mistakes Bioware is making dont become the norm with other companies.. Otherwise this will be the end of gaming for me..
Thank god companies like Rockstar are in it for the gamers and not the almighty dollar!!

This article should be stickied. Thumbs up to the author.. I tried to like the endings.. I tried to make sense of them..But at the end of the day. They are just very poor endings to an otherwise epic series.

its common EA practice to dilute a brand name to make quick cash then sell them off/close them. Just look at bullfrog and westwood.

Oh I am aware of what EA has done.. My favorite series of all time was destroyed by EA and that was Ultima created by Origin Games..Adain878 wrote...

Richard Garriot had many interviews on EA's way of thinking.. Quality games that required 3 and 4 years to make were rushed for a cash grab.. Activision also has this same mentality and thats why I quit buying there games.. Sadly I think Bioware is headed down the same path..
I own many of Biowares titles going back to Baldurs gate..But I do see the end coming and I will move on from Bioware.

Yeah, very true.VerdantSF wrote...
I loved this part:
"Legion immediately changes the synthetic/organic debate when you gain him as a character. Rather than furthering a Matrix-like view of a world in which machines eventually kill their creators, Legion proves that all forms of life can and do have value, and that it is absolutely possible for synthetic and organic life to co-exist peacefully. Throw in EDI from Mass Effect 3 and the debate changes radically again — now synthetic and organic characters aren’t just not killing each other, they’re actively hooking up of their own free will.
That doesn’t sound like a world in which the cylons are destined to nuke the humans. Mass Effect 3 even gives you a chance to redeem the quarians and the geth in their struggle and reunite creator and created, parent and child. These events, in the very same game, are fundamentally opposed to the philosophy of the ending and the themes it represents."
It is even worst. In ME1 we establish the tropes. AI are evil, Rogue VIs, and the like. ME2 we subvert the trope. EDI is helpful but atleast she s shackled... but then we unshakle her and exhibits loyalty. Geth turn out to be... none violent. Heck the Geth are even watching over the Homeworld...like if they are instictually awaiting the return of the Quarians.
ME3 comes, EDI becomes a person and grows as one, develops bonds of friendship and even romance. She even begins to question her own 'lifespan'... hmm fear of mortality... interesting. Geth... are evolving... becoming alive. Legion refers to himself as "I". You can reconcile the Geth and the Quarians. When talking to Tali... they actually start helping them, and I mean by a lot. Even Tali's says the Geth will help her people reclaim the homeworld in a fraction of the time. You break the cycle. This is not like BSG anymore (incidently, even in BSG... some of the Cylons managed to break the cycle themselves... but this is about ME).
Then the last 5-10 minutes. "The Cylce is will happen and can't be broken, Synthetics and Organics will always come into conflict and kill all Organics." Shepard: "Oh okay."
It is like the ending sticks a giant middle finger at you and all you have achieved, then forces its views on you and Shepard (and by that fact the player) is 'forced' to accept it as a reality. It literally is like the whole game never happened... oh wait... it did give me a lot of EMS... yay I unlocked the Synthesis ending and Earth won't be destroyed in the Destroy ending! (last bit is sarcasm)
