Shameless bumping with no discussion is considered spam hereabouts. Please cut it out.

Did you want to chime in on any of that article Stanley?  Some good points made in there... ones that are hard to counter at face value... Image IPB

yes he understands. And yes its BioWare's call but if things don't change they'll be losing a considerable part of their fanbase for sure.

If your bosses stopped ignoring their fan base then we wouldn't need to bump anything. We deserve a comment on what happens next.

Bleh he could have locked the thread or any if he wanted. What is so hard at writing a few words? Anything just not '/bump'. People are stupid really, it is so easy to bump a thread without being obvious.

Great article; it explains the major points very well. We should spread this article around.

I apologize that there are some being negative. I understand you're in a difficult position, attempting to keep the peace here while making sure the rules are followed.

With how fast the board is moving, however, I think bumps should be okay - keeping this thread near the top will (hopefully) keep others from posting it as well. One bumped thread serves for a nicer looking forum than multiple ones.

That aside, it really IS a good read, considering how many people think our issue is with Shepard dying (here's looking at you, Kotaku...).

I'm glad to see more and more articles supporting the consumers instead of insulting them. It's nice to see not everyone bows to the game companies. I'm actually really surprised that the media is taking a stance that the endings are a mistake.

Tis a shame there is no sticky thread that contains a link to all the various media posts, so people could look in one place for any new updates

THAT is actual journalism. Who cares if they just want money from ads, at least the guy understands and researched WHY this whole debate exists.
This is what every site SHOULD do, whether for or against, at least research and understand. Not like IGN and that **** of Colin did.

This was a well written article that very closely followed the same line of arguments I've been having with myself and others as to why this ending is insufficient.

I really like how he emphasis that the "can't we all get along" theme of Shepard is just totally thrown out the airlock.

It was a long read, but excellent. Great to finally have something up on a major gaming site.

Its interesting that the longer we hold the line, the more support we get from all angles, no?

Actually, quite a few gaming publications are calling us "whining" and "entitled" fans, telling us that it isn't a democracy and it isn't our place to say the game needs changing.
I've got huge respect for Gamefront now. Put aside the supporting article - they didn't lower themselves to berate the very people that read their stuff.

Too bad we cant get sites to read this article...or maybe, I dont know, PLAY THE GAME, and re-write their scathing remarks.

Another writer who understands that we're not just a bunch of 'whiny, entitled fanboys' (boy am I getting sick of people describing us that way). Who knows - maybe he's one of us?

Hold the line.

"I am Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite article on the internet."

But seriously, very well said. I hadn't been able to articulate all the themes that were abandoned in the "ending." I actually feel a bit of the lethargy the "ending" inflicted on me lifting.
