Especially if you're a straight female player who doesn't like the idea of romancing aliens. Which leaves you with two options: Kaidan and Jacob.
Not that I'm complaining, I absolutely adore Kaidan <3 But for the people who don't, like yourself, it's really too bad that the options are so limited.
I never said I didn't like Kaidan, it's quite the opposite when he's not accusing and questioning Shepard about being with Cerberus. I'm just a sucker for a man with tattoos.. a bit of ink is never a bad thing for me. That and when he asks Shepard 'Are you flirting with me, Lola?'... well, my mind kind of falls into the gutter and is unable to get back out. I wanna do a lot more than flirt with you, Mr Vega, if only Bioware would let me.

Oh, sorry to jump to conclusions. I thought I remembered you saying in your original post you didn't like any of the options for a straight female when I was typing that. Oops.
On the subject of flirting with Vega, I didn't like how most of it was scripted auto-dialogue flirting. You know, for those of us who already have our romances sorted out? It seemed odd to me that they did that.

I know all of this controversy and the ending being horrible is already enough stress on the Bioware team.
You had mentioned something like this at one of your interviews and there is so much you can do with this. Besides Shepard could probably use a vacation on a beach somewhere with his partner

While I'm for romance DLC, I'm a bit divided. Who goes on a romantic Holiday or take a few day off when there is a war going on and people/aliens corpses are pilling up under your feet.
Like "Hey hun. Let us go away for a few days so we can snuggle and have sex. Let's forget about our galaxy is about to be harvest."
It doesn't feels right for me.

well shepard probably defeats the majority of them at earth, the fleets can probably divide up and take them out after that. and after earth i don't think he is in any condition to fight

The whole point of the Crucible was to wipe all the Reapers out, not just the ones on Earth. Also don't forget it took the normandy and the entire Quarian fleet to kill just one Reaper with an orbital bombardment, I doubt it would be as simple as dividing everyone up and mopping up stragglers.
Extra LI DLC would probably work better in the form of extra options in conversation with your romancable squadmates (even make some of them actually ramancable like they should be- I'm looking at you, Vega), maybe an extra small scene or two during the trips to the Citadel etc... something to make them more subtantial but not completely OOC for the overall vibe of the game. I mean the entire galaxy is going to hell in a hand basket and it's not the best time to have a romantic getaway, especially when you're the only person who can unite all the stubborn scared asses to fight as one huge intergalactic force in a final stand against complete annihilation.
Overall I felt a little let down by the lack of actual conversations I got to have with my crew as opposed to the first to games, romancable or not. What have they been doing for the past 6 or so months that Shepard was locked up and on trial? Or in the case of Kadian/Ashley there's an almost 3 year gap there, you'd think there would be a lot more issues to work out past the initial Cerberus questions/interrogation on Mars. And surely, as much as they trust and love Shepard, they would have an opinion of the Commander blowing up a Mass Relay that killed hundreds of thousands of Batarians and pretty much destroyed a star system, despite it being for the 'greater good'.
I feel I've gone off track here a little, but hopefully you get my point and I'm not coming across as a trolling **** which isn't my intention. If you want a nice fuzzy holiday scene maybe it would have been nice as an after the credits epilogue set a few months after the battle for a 'super good Paragon' ending or something of the like; instead of that loophole riddled thing in three different coloured explosions destroying the Relays reguardless of the choices we made along the way.
