i have been thinking about doing an all stealth party with a bunch of rogues striking from the shadows and then running away until everyone was dead
its too bad that there are only 2 rogues though :(

So just make a rogue and play with an empty slot. Actually, I think there may be bonuses applied to abilities for each empty slot.

i understand.

i'm curious what people think of how this would work

for instance, would such a party be decimated during cutscene battles?

Might not. Remember, rogues aren't weak without stealth, either. All that Dex makes you hard to hit, after all. And, once you get combat stealth...

That would be sweet, like youre hunting them instead of fighting them. Just imagine, scattershot and freeze the whole mob then focus fire and kill as many as you can before the horde comes to again. Stealth away and then hit them again

I was wanting to do the same thing. I'm sure there will be a mod to make this happen eventually. Better yet, I hope to see new companions to choose from.

Actually, I bet you could do this now using the game console and the "runscript addtalent 4020" code (this would add the rogue talent tree to the current select party member). They wouldn't be rogues but the party members could stealth. I might try it that ;)

i've thought about this myself. it can probably work on some difficulties ... but one thing to consider is that most of the time you are up against bigger numbers ... bad when some skills never miss and some "smarter" mobs are capable of spotting characters in stealth.

you can have 3 rogues in game but you'll have to create on of them yourself btw.

Combat Stealth is a wonderful thing.

well combat stealth only works against lower level bosses and you get cutscenes with the super duper bosses generally

The boss fights where combat stealth doesn't work aren't very common (once you have all four stealth talents) and by the time you have to beat one of them, you should have high enough dex. You also still have your area stuns and all that crap and since you have three rogues, you have traps and bombs as well. Besides, you have a free slot so if everything else fails just relax the rules and allow a mage in the party for that battle ;-)
