Just moved some spoiler info from a non-spoiler thread.  Started off talking about dead creatures continuing to stand, then talked about dead bodies turning as the PC walked around.

Original thread:

NPC dies but still stands

This is a my post describing where I found the spinning dead phenomenon, in case someone wants to figure it out:

I_Raps wrote...

No, they point at your character as you move around them. Sydney Natale is the one I remember, but it has happened a few other times, I think. Maybe Garius (both versions), your treacherous companions, etc. Cutscene actors who don't know when to quit emoting, now that I think of it. Perhaps a whole new meaning for "chewing the scenery."

"I'm going through Act 2 right now and noticed this yesterday in a couple of areas. I did not notice it in Act 1. I just loaded a save and went back into the Bryce Crypt. This time, it did not happen until I spoke with Arval, no cutscene, just a conversation. When attacked, 2 of the 6? dead "Shadow Initiates" spun as I walked around them. Arval did not. Coincidentally, the two that spun were spellcasters. There were a couple more spellcasters that did not spin. None of the melee Shadow Initiates spun (I think the Initiates with the grey sashes are melee). Arval did not spin. On the way back out, Lisbet Bryce died. Lisbet is not a "spinner"

Edit: You may have a lead on the spellcasting. I may be wrong, but it seems like the other times I saw the spinning dead, they were spellcasters. I remember seeing a lot of robed spinners.

Oh yeah, using Kaedrin's, but not the makeover this time.

Edit 2: Loaded up Bryce Crypt a second time. Nobody spun after being killed within the last chamber.
3rd runthrough, I lead everyone into the 2nd to last chamber for the fight. Noone spun, except Arval. Arval had cast a blind spell, as well as another I could not identify. After Arval was dead, I could still hear the sound effects from his still active spell, and he was spinning."

Continuing,

When first entering the "Crosswood Keep Interior", two "Arcane Brothers" were casting spells on the front door to keep out Vale.  After I killed them both and Vale was able to enter CK, one of the dead Arcane Brothers spun as my PC walked around.

Maybe, I didn't notice it happening in Act 1, due to the low HD of the enemies not allowing better, longer lasting spells.
