Did anyone get vibes of Ultima:IX Acsension from the ending?

Both
Origin (the creators of Ultima) and Bioware were bought out by EA.
Worse to play ME3 you have to download the 'Origin' software.

In
the Ultima VII, VIII, and IX trilogy you are trying to stop the near
unstoppable Guardian from destroying Britannia. In mass effect 1, 2, and
3 you are trying to stop the Reapers from destroying the people of the
Galaxy

Ultima IX ends with the avatar sacrificing himself and
ascending into a beam of light and being vaporized. The synthesis ending
of ME3 ends with Shepard sacrificing himself by jumping into a beam of
light and being vaporized.

In Ultima IX a wave of energy is set
off which stops the Guardian but destroys Britannia as we know it. In
ME3 a wave of energy is
set off which defeats the reapers but destroys the Galaxy as we know
it.

For good measure I'm pretty sure someone called Shepard an avatar in the game ending.

Both endings left fans disappointed.

And hopefully there won't be this parallel: Ultima IX wasn't fixed. The series was spent but for MMORPG.
