Probably the only one here but... What I liked about the endings.

It's not even just the plotholes, it's the HORRENDOUS Deus Ex Machina that fits the description of a D.E.M to the letter. Random god character appears and suddenly wraps everything up with no pacing or story direction. And then, of course, the explination he gives makes absolutely no sense and contradicts information from ME1&2.

Got it.
Instead of attacking others who enjoy different things how about doing something more productive like in the million of other threads where many feel the same as yourself instead of the need to hijack and drown out any other person who enjoys what you do not in this thread.
How you view games, trilogy or this title is differently to how I view games. Games to me are supposed to make you feel, enjoyment or sorrow from interaction and playing through the story from start to finish. It is not a dictionary or thesaurus, a biography or documentary.

I explained in great detail the answer to your first question. Your second one is of no concern to me and has nothing at all to be honest with my enjoyment of the ending. Like I said before this thread is not here to convince you that your dislike is wrong but merely explain why I like it. If you did not it then that is not my concern, you may have your reasons, I explained my reasons why I liked it.

But at least that didn't have two prequels which established a story arc before ending with stupidity.

Pick your favorite color for three endings that uniquely change the fate of the galaxy and the way it will grow in the future. None of the endings being perfect and all having controversial drawbacks morally, socially and technologically.

Fixed for my point of view.
I really like the endings like the OP, but see why a lot of people are upset. I'm one of those people who will take a meaningful ending over a happy ending any day of the week. However a meaningful happy ending is good too, but usually lacks the "punch" needed to convey a message.

I paid for the game, enjoyed the game including the endings. Learn to deal with that.

I didn't want to bring up the profile image, and hell I sort of like Naruto myself, but the animation. By god I can't look at it for more than a few seconds, it's like one of those flashing seizure things.
That said, personal attacks are unwarranted. By the same merit that I would say OP needs to deal with the response to his thread because he brought it discussion in the first place, anybody who disagrees with him or us should still remain civil.

It's not about whether the ending is happy or not, we just wanted something that wrapped the series up in a satisfying manner. Something that answered questions, not left bigger plotholes behind. I'd almost be fine with all the endings being near identical if they didn't have such glaring continuity errors.

Like I said you misunderstand the purpose of the thread, I was not looking for ****** for tats or epic debates on the issue of endings or other peoples preferences or disdain towards that element. I created the thread for one purpose which was to express my like and appreciation for what I paid for and enjoyed. The alternative of sending every Bioware employee a private message was a less productive route than creating a thread on here to use for expressing that feeling and opinion.

The saddest thing is that the player had already agreed to a cliche ending by simply playing through the first few tutorial missions, so there wasn't even a need to add a literal deus ex machina to the already existing one. If you got past Mars, you had already accepted a nonsensical and randomly added plot development in order to see how your decisions would play out with regards to it, and you did it because you cared more about the characters and your personal actions than whether or not every detail of the plot made sense.
People want cliche endings. It's why most stories have them, so long as they're satisfying and make sense.
This one was neither.

Other then that apparent plot hole I thought it was a fine, if a bit cliched ending. I really don't understand all this rage.

Very good, now express yourself in a less childish manner. I should point out I have probably been playing games longer than yourself and in general am far more picky towards the amount of games I buy based on which are highly enjoyable these days. I only buy RPG's and have been doing so for over three decades.

I was more noting it out of humor than anything else.
No need to get all defensive. Quite a few nasty words could be said about my preferences.

You know, I didn't mind the Mcguffin Crucible thing. That was fine, and it really sort of fits with the way they wanted to establish that winning through conventional means was impossible. Would of been doubly neat if there was a large war asset that unlocks right after you learn about the crucible for saving the Collector base. "Knowledge of the protheans has made building this structure easier". Would of created a tie in and made the whole base look like foreshadowing.

This post is silly and you should feel silly for posting it. "I've been playing games for SO LONG and i'm SO PICKY that my opinion is more relevant, despite not actually addressing any of the well documented criticisms"
I need that picture that says "If you were born after 1989 you don't know **** about videogames"
EDIT: Thats the SECOND TIME i've double posted. Quote and edit are so close to each other. My bad.

Fair enough, I took it as same tone some rude and obnoxious other people have done in this thread towards another persons enjoyment of something I paid for. If your reply was meant purely as humour and not agression then I apologise for putting you in the same basket as those others.

Why would I address your problems with your enjoyment of the game. Seriously learn to know the difference between personal preference and how such impacts another persons enjoyment of a product. Also do not put words in my mouth as you will regret it. Quote me for exactly what I say and don't try to belittle another persons view by changing the words or claiming they mean something they never said.

Whether you think it's badly done or not is fair. Complaining that they use one really isn't. Some of the most famous greek plays used Deus Ex's extensively. The fact is it is a tool that can be used or abused. More often than not it is abused. But a Dues Ex alone does not determine the worth of something.
