Shot it. Used a Female Shepard. Had to put Garrus in his place and fuel the friendly rivalry. Garrus will win one when he earns it!

If I wasn't an infiltrator I would have considered it, but given that we are both professional snipers...missing on purpose just seems to defeat the point of a competition.

And I just want to add that that entire sequence is beautiful, and thinking back to it and others like "Emergency Induction Port" almost makes me forget the last ten minutes.

I shot it : / My Shepard is a good guy but that doesn't mean he has to patronize such an awesome dude like Garrus by *letting* him win I didn't even check what happens when I choose to miss and if Garrus does say thanks..well..it's a bit childish.

I missed. It was just a friendly bull session. Garrus is my Shep's boy, he's got her back and she's got his. They both know that when it comes down it, the other one will be there every single time. So why not let Garrus have some bragging rights.

I have multiple Shepards, but if we're just discussing my "Female shepard romanced Garrus" playthrough, then I shot the bottle, because I was also doing a "complete Renegade" playthrough at the time and shooting the bottle is a Renegade option.

The way I figured it, I wouldn't want Garrus to miss on purpose for me, so I should give him the same honor. Also, Garrus wouldn't miss on purpose if our positions were reversed, so why should I ?

That being said, I did love the sequence if you did miss

i tryed both the miss on purpose was hilarious but i expected more of the shot it something like they keep at it until one of you really can't shoot it anymore

I shot the bottle. I would never disrespect Garrus by doing less than my best, and would never expect him to do that to me either.
