When he said I'm Garrus Vakarian, I thought of Jackass, but then the favorite place on the citadel line was way better.

Maybe my age influences my perception on why my Sniping Infiltrator choose's to miss....life isn't a competition and Garrus obviously needed the morale boost....there's no disrespect in missing the bottle, Shep knows he and Garrus are both top snipers, there is nothing to be proven, let Garrus have his moment of glory it makes him happy and harms no-one.

Vanguard - I missed the bottle on purpose.

Depends on the class...Soldier or Infiltrator, hell yes I shoot the bottle.

Every other class though? Until ME3, your Shepard has never touched a sniper rifle...

It probably makes sense if you're playing an infiltrator to hit it, but I like Garrus so much I want it to be a special occasion for him. I missed on purpose when I did it, I was playing an adept so that made sense anyway.

Unless you chose Sniper Rifles as a bonus talent in ME1, or unlocked them in ME2 on the Collector Ship.

I didn't hesitate to miss. Morale of my squad was more important. How happy he was after, and the line he delivered, proved me right. I love love love that part.

I missed with my Sentinel male Shep, but shot it with my Infiltrator fem Shep. Got a reputation to mantain.

Don't get me wrong, I loved that scene. But how come Adepts, Vanguards, all those biotic + tech classes can make that shot with no second thoughts? Heh.
