In fact, IIRC, back in ME2 the Shadow Broker's files indicate Garrus would 'never properly develop his leadership potential under Shepard's command'. I wanted to give the guy some gloating rights and keep him positive.

Besides, what's he going to say? 'Shepard may have killed 3 reapers, but I shot a BOTTLE. ON THE CITADEL. TOTALLY AGAINST THE RULES MAN, I'M A BADASS'.

That, and GARRUS SHOT FIRST

I picked miss the first time. When I got around to a more renegade guy I hit the target. But ever since then I choose miss regardless of alignment.

I wished Bioware made it into a minigame, where you get to control Shep and try to shoot the bottle.

It's like shooting Dr. Eva Core back on Mars, except the stakes are lower and target is a lot more smaller.

As a soldier in my first playthrough I missed, but my second playthrough was as a sniper-wielding Infiltrator and to miss then would just be embarassing. :]

I pretty much always miss. I just like watching Garrus celebrate too much. Plus, I tell myself those bottles had to have gotten empty somehow ... and he brought freakin' Mantis rifles up there (urg!) ... and I don't have any snipers left in ME3, even my infiltrator gave up on sniping and went shotgun/melee.

So, I figure that I honestly could have missed those shots all things factored in.

I missed on all my characters except Infiltrator it's hard to "miss on purpose" with a class that specilizes in long range shooting

I let my class determine whether or not I miss. If I am playing as a soldier or an infiltrator I nail it. If I am playing as anything else I miss. Why would my vanguard who is a short range specialist and is use to blasting people in the face with his shotgun be as good as Garrus who is a noted sniper with a sniper rifle?

Well... i knew Shepard would die, and i played my Shepard as if he knew that as well.

So i missed the shot. I mean it made perfect sense for me, as i was an Infiltrator running around and showing garrus up whenever he was with me by Headshoting about everything. So missing the shot, at least to me, was the right thing to do.

And in my Mind Garrus knew i missed it on purpose. So i imagined ... somewhere, when all of it was over and Garrus would be sipping a cool drink at some beach... telling his story.. he'd smirk and admit grudgingly "And i knew that bastard missed on purpose that day" or something like that.

Hit that shot everytime Soldier Shep is just as good as Garrus. Besides their best buds and they have the whole rivalry thing going sometimes so it's cool. They're gonna have rematch on top of a dead reaper
