Allright, so as I'm sure we're mostly all aware at this point many in this community have lost real world dollars and countless hours worth of in game credits of progress. EA has been completely inactive and Bioware has been silent on the issue besides telling us not to enter the store "ready".
At this point I think its time we start looking at the numbers of what is going on here and to me one question is more pertinent then the others. How many of those reset had purchased Bioware points vs those who have not? If there is a pattern of those who are paying costumers being shanghaid out of their hard earned money then we need to be aware of it so we can take appropriate legal action.

I lost $10 worth myself along with countless hours. But what I'm really getting at here is that I want to know how many people were BUYING these points and losing them vs just having their time wasted. Potentially this could be deliberate. If more people who put money in had their profiles reset, well it doesn't look good for Bioware and EA that's for sure.

they need to make a multiplayer unlock section in the me3 content that way it always checks the cards and fixes the unlocks when you encounter the starter bug

Reading the main thread, it looks like a lot of people who only used credits (no Bioware Points, MS points, etc.) have also been hit. This suggests it doesn't have anything to do with cash point expenditure as such.
I agree that most people posting about the problem seem to have spent real money. But this may not be an accurate representation of players hit by the bug. Because people like us spent actual cash...we're a lot more angry about this, and posting a lot more.
This is a horrible horrible mistake on EA and Bioware's part, and they're making it worse by not communicating with us about this issue. They may be guilty of poor QA testing, poor customer service, and so on...but claiming it's some kind of conspiracy or Evil Plot is just a little far-fetched.

I didn't say with certainty whether that's what happened, only that it would seem to be prudent to corroborate. It would be good to know regardless of it being deliberate if the problem effects those using Bioware points more so we can raise pressure on Bioware to take down boxes being sold for points during the interim that this bug is stealing our money.

What you are implying makes no sense. I believe you are implying Bioware/EA is intentionally reseting the accounts of those that buy gear, in an attempt to make them buy it again.
Other than the fact that is probably flat out illegal. Someone would have to be a complete moron to have this happen to them and just go out and buy a whole bunch of crap again when there is a risk they can lose their money again.
That is like the opposite of what you would want to do if you wanted to sell more from a business standpoint.

Has anyone spoken to EA support upon the reset to at least have them refund the BW points after a reset?

i have asked for a refund of the points from EA, EA support states that the bioware points are bioware's domain, and that a fix is coming this friday without providing any details on if just the bug is fixed, or items are being restored
