I copied my saved games from ME1 and ME2 from my old XP computer into my new windows 7 computer after reinstalling ME1 and ME2.  But when I try to import the character in ME3 it won't show up anyone know how to fix this problem?

I have the same problem, I have played the same character in ME1 and ME2. ME1 was on my older XP computer and ME2 was on my Vista computer. I moved all the file to my new W7 computer and installed ME1 and ME2, I even played the last mission on ME2 again. But when I tried to import the character ME3 says that the face code is not found. I have had to try to remake the face of my Sheppard. I would like to know how to get my Sheppard back.

Same her, only that i used W7 on ME1 and ME2...
But my Sheps face is gone, it stands: Genetic Scan in progress--attempting to match persnnel records.

I get the records but not the face

This is the well known and incredibly miserable face import bug that is annoying everyone. There's currently a 180+ page thread in the General Discussion forum about this. Long story short, we are all hoping that the upcoming patch will fix this problem.

If you are talking about your character's face, then it's the well known face import bug. If you are talking about the general import, then your folder needs to go into something like this: C:\\Users\\username\\Documents\\BioWare. You only need the Mass Effect 2 folder, as ME3 won't recognise ME1 save games.

I'm not sure what your problem is. When you try to import, does it correctly display your history, who lived/died and so on, but has a problem with the face of your Shep? If so, then your save files are in the right place and it's the face import bug.

If not, then it sounds like something else, like corrupt save files.

Honestly I had to use the gibbed editor to fix my saves because my saves done after I did the suicide run and it would not reload.

Its the face, the history is correct.

The main character face comes up, but thats only on my femshep
