I keep running into these statements and they never stop amazing me. Did NOBODY listen to Anders's brothel stories? Even discounting the implied rape by Templars, he's been painted as bi since day one.

What ended up happening with Samara in ME3 if you tried to romance her in ME2? I havent heard much about it.

Nothing. She acts the same for Renegade Sheps, Paragon Sheps, Sheps that she said she'd ravish if she was younger and Sheps that didn't even talk to her all that much. ANd that's despite flat-out stating she'll KILL Renegade Shep next time they met. Hah.

I'd like to know how it affects your game if she was restored to be interested in Shepards of both sexes? The answer is that it doesn't, but I'm curious as to the interesting reasons you can come up with

FemShep/Tali would actually kill any motivation I had to play with broshep.

But anyway, I like to see Tali as the Little Sister to my FemShep, and Garrus as my bro/best friend with no benefits. So I was happy to see them together.

I still don't see how anyone sees her flirting with femshep but then I guess that's because I don't automatically think someone is flirting with me just because they are being nice to me. Tali has always been straight, she was even supposed to be a romance for male Shepard in Mass Effect but was cut due to time.

It's a good thing that not everyone was "Shepardsexual", was stupid in Dragon Age 2 having everyone "Hawkesexual" and it would have been stupid here.

Their main argument is that she talks about linking suits, when it is not strictly romantic. They try and ignore that last part...

Yes you do, which is why you rely nonsensical BS rather than logical arguments.

They added them as "straight" LI in ME2, and added them as "gay" LI in ME3 - see, no change!
Alternatively, they're were changed from "asexual" to "straight" in ME2, and from "straight" to "bi" in ME3 - BAD! EVIL!

I've used "straight", "gay", etc in scare quotes because the terms are meaningless for inter-species romance - male human with male non-human is not "gay", it's weird. These terms are meaningless when we're talking about settings with sentient aliens.

Tali is interested in manShep despite him being a human rather than because he's a guy.

In principle I agree. However our gender does partially define us and our lives.

I could easily imagine that an alien would be more attracted to certain traits or mannerisms that are associated with men or women.

It's all rather theoretical tho...

It's good as it is. I can't see Tali being bi, not in her personality. Miranda maybe. However I was bit jealous when saw her with Garrus.

What irks me is some Talimancers saying that "Tali being bi doesn't fit her character" when the very fact she's an LI didn't fit her original character, I so hate double standards <_<

Huh so that you support only some retcons that fit your preconceptions isn't a double standard while other people supporting only some retcons that fit their preconceptions is a double standard?

Anyway personally I think it should be up to the person who imagined / invented the character. They had a good idea / vision for the character and I think the character should stay in character so to speak.

If you follow the dialogs with femshep and Tali in ME2 there is a lot of hints to a romantic subplot. "I got better, i got you". Talis blushing under the helmet... hugging, touching... that sort of thing. None of that stuff happens with any other female (besides Kelly). It's not openly sexualized flirting as that wouldn't fit Tali, but it's very intimate and certainly more than "just friends or allies".

Tali has not been straight, at least not for me. I never played maleShep. I played all ME's several times now and Tali was never shown as having any sex-life at all. Well... there's this scene with garrus at the end of ME3. But before that.

So, in YOUR game Tali might be straight. But in YOUR game shep is male. This is not "more correct" than my playthrough.

I agree that Shepardsexua is stupid. I didn't like Shiala and Parasini giving me the looks in ME2 for no appearant reasons. I mean we really hardly met.

Why people always want every character to be BI? Im guy and i dont want Garrus, James, Thane, Jacob etc... to become BI so i can love them, because that would not make any sense.

If i would like to (just an example) be with Thane, i understand that he is straight and have no interest to be with me, then im fine with it.
If you are female and like Tali in that way, too bad, not everyone is BI, one thing what people must understand and live with it.
Tali is like little sister to Femshep and Ashley anyway, plus she is straight.

I am bisexual, and I hate the idea of making everyone bisexual. I like Garrus but I respect that he is straight. If he was magically made bi it would feel to me like I was raping him (as well as anyone else the writers made bi) Honestly I like the way they handled it, just adding new two people, one gay and one lesbian. I am pretty happy they did not re write anyone.

I never liked Garrus and this was just more reason not to. (though, I have to admit he was cooler in the last game) My FemShep had a crush on Tali since the first game, but alas it will forever be her unrequited love. Still, they are best friends, as close as Liara and Shep without the sex. (which has, no doubt, resulted in jealousy when I don't do so great a job at hiding it.)

What it has to do with different species? You basically be with him whole game trilogy, you care about him etc... Why Garrus then cant like Femshep? Both are intelligence species and they spend time together, so it can be Krogan, Volus even Vorcha, they could still fall in love

Oh..this...I don't have issues with same sex romances but I'm not sure if I want to see Tali as a romance option for Femsheps.  If this becomes a reality at some point, I want to see same sex romance options for Garrus as well.  Though I prefer both Garrus and Tali to be straight...
