As much as many would like it, not everyone swings both ways, and that helps keep the game realistic, and add's some additional intrigue to the game if you think you'd like your femshep to be with Tali but she's not into it and eventually goes for someone else. If everyone was down for everyone else, that'd just be..too open, it'd feel promiscuous at that point. I don't mind there being lesbian/gay romance options at all, I'm glad Bioware put them all in there, but at the same time not every character needs to be open to it, just as Cortez doesn't need to be a romand option for Femshep either.

Nods

every one being magicly bi was some thing i hated about  da 2

Well, as Kirk Lazarus said in the movie 'Tropic Thunder'

"Man, everyone is gay once in a while! It's Hollywood!"

Awww, as much as I'd like Tali/femShep (also Ashley/femShep please!) I thought Tali and Garrus getting together was cute.

Ashley's probably the last female character I could see as bi or lesbian.

This is pretty much the only reason I also have a manshep ME3 playthrough... I also have a ME2 save where I romanced Jack but from what I read, that leads nowhere so I haven't bothered importing. Shame, but whatever.

True.  It's just my wishful thinking haha; her and femShep's friendship is one of my favorite parts of ME3.

Someone posted a large picture the other day with several comparisions between rl stuff and ME stuff, and one was the striking resembelence between the "new" ashley and a transvestite model.  So I could see it; just being all secret about it though.

Pretty sure with the social structure of the Quarian and the need for a continuously reproducing population, plus the fact that sex is a health risk just on the merit of making babies alone their social, and politicial structure wouldn't really accept, or even discuss same sex relationships between Quarian.

Thus that wouldn't really come into play with the attempt to same sex another race at the risk of dying.

Or maybe Tali's just not gay.

Quarians are forbidden from having more than one child. Overpopulation is a bigger risk than the opposite.

You know, I was hoping that there were going to be more romance options for femshep in 3 if she didn't romance anyone in 1 or 2. I was silently hoping that Tali, and for that matter Ashley too, would be one but it didn't really bother me that much. I just hooked up with Liara but I just read that if I had romanced Kelly in ME2 that it could be continued in 3 and am now kicking my self for going with Liara. Looking at it now, I might have a save right before doing this, scratch that, I just realized that it would mean playing through the Ardat-Yakshi mission again on Insanity which I really don't want to do right now.

its annoying because Tali says she wants to link suits with you whether you're male or female in ME2, and the shadow broker dossier still has her looking up human mating rituals.

Tali clearly wants my femshep.

Absolutely not. Tali wants a man. A REAAALLLL man.

I'm Commander Shepard, and Tali is my favorite romance option on the Citadel.

That is hilarious.

I got a quick question. If you make it so Garrus dies on the suicide mission on Mass Effect 2, what will Tali'Zorah be doing before you attack the Cerberus base on Mass Effect 3?

Yeah I know many people wanted Tali to be a s/s romance option. In ME2 she was supposed to be along with Jack. However it was removed due to Casey Hudson. Never added back in for ME3. Sorry people.

It wouldn't work --- if Tali was a lesbian, she would be useless in the eyes of the Quarian Fleet. They are a people of survival and heavily family oriented - procreation would come first and foremost. They would ostracize her from the fleet. If they could artificially inseminate life --- it still wouldn't fly because in their view, you'd be wasting resources and time.

If it was just a minor fling for the moment, then I guess you could do it that way but a full relationship wouldn't fly --- and it wouldn't be in Tali's character either. My opinion of course.
