Yup, thanks for the ME3 endings. My SWTOR guild just got jacked.

I know its stupid to quit one game because you're angry with another, simply because they're run by the same company, but THIS IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING. Again and again.

To my guild at least. I don't run it (thankfully), but its sad seeing friends and fellow guildmembers rage quitting SWTOR because of their anger towards ME3's endings. 10 people quitting probably won't even cause a tickle in TOR's suscriber population, but I'm affected by it.

Time to see if we can get replacements in the meantime or hold out till April, when this endings fiasco dies down. On record, I HATE the ME3 endings myself, but I still find SWTOR enjoyable, for now.

[update] 18/3 - Have unsuscribed; sick of waiting every evening to see if we have enough players around to raid. That plus the unbalanced gameplay and ****iness of forum mods are starting to ****** me off.

I quit SWTOR because of this. Don't feel bad about it at all.

I doubt it's just because of the ME3 endings, and if it is, it isn't just the ten of them.

It boils down to customer loyalty working both ways.

Were you enjoying it before you played ME3? If so, isn't that a silly thing to do? Will you honestly not be coming back in a month when your anger subsides?

If you makes you feel any better, you're not the only person I've heard having this issue. There have been several threads I've seen on here about this same issue, people losing guildmembers because they're boycotting.

All I can say is, I hope it ends up hurting them a lot. I know it sucks for you, but even you in turn can blame them for this.

Seems hypocritical to continue to support Bioware financially after this.

Bioware should see it coming before giving us the sucking endings.

My guild and two ally guilds cancelled out as well. So its not just you man. It wasn't JUST ME3, but the wait for patch 1.2 and all that, people are just frustrated with BioWare atm.

I assume 1.2 will bring most of them back, but the guilds are more or less dead ships now.

I'm keeping my sub active there cause my wife would get mad if I cancelled our subs. But I don't play.

A lot of us bought these games, SWTOR included based on implicit trust in BioWare.
Yes even after DA2. DA2 had flaws but was still decent. I still trusted them.

After this? After being hurt this badly? That trust is gone, completely, and I can't handle playing any of their games.

I got bored with SWTOR quickly after hitting 50, still waiting to see what 1.2 brings; but I am definitely less optimistic now.

BioWare is BioWare, people who are mad about the Mass Effect 3 endings are mad at BioWare. If you're mad at BioWare but still giving them money for SWTOR, you're not really mad at them, you're just pretending you are.

Maybe if more and more people quit SWTOR, BioWare will take the hint a bit faster.

Apologize for yourself. You represent no one else.

I had just hit my second 50 and was taking a small break to play ME3, was looking forward to come back and wait for 1.2. I don't think it's silly at all, I refuse to support a company the commits to false advertising and lampooning their fanbase/consumers.  I partially bought SWTOR because Bioware made it... it goes both ways.

I will not be coming back, no. Unless this ME3 debacle is fixed.

They are still two different divisions of Bioware...

But it's still Bioware. Different division, same company.

The best way to make a company listen is to answer with your wallet, which is what people (myself included) are doing with SWTOR.

Some may view it as unfair to the dev team for SWTOR or dumb, etc. but if the customer feels betrayed by a company, he/she has the right to stop supporting them. Paying a monthly fee for a Bioware game is supporting Bioware, and if they don't want to, well, you get the idea.

In all honesty, I'm considering no longer buying Biotronic Arts products myself, as horrendous as both DA2 and ME3 were.

You hear time and again people saying "don't like it? don't buy their games then" - it should be no surprise that people are actually doing just that should it?
