When I played World of Warcraft I bought Warcraft 3 to figure out the story behind the game. I considered buying Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 since I liked the game so much. Then they raped WOW with the Arthas patch. Bosses were fun but they raped the storyline. I stopped liking WOW after that. I quit soon after. I have not bought another Blizzard game because I know it will go down hill again

Now I am buying Paradox games. Sure they come out buggy but they know the games are buggy, acknowledge it, and tell you they are fixing it and DO FIX IT. They fix their problems and I can live with that. I however cannot live with the S*** Bioware is pulling.

I still love Bioware... Even if I only still love em the way you love a cheating ex girlfriend that takes all your money and leaves you with nothing.

I quit SWTOR because of this. Don't feel bad about it at all.

Were you enjoying it before you played ME3? If so, isn't that a silly thing to do? Will you honestly not be coming back in a month when your anger subsides?

Not if you have some spine and try to change what you dont like.

I said i wouldn't spend more money in BW / EA untill i was satisfied with ME3 ending, and that includes my "former" SWOR subscription.

Holding the line by holding my money.

Yea not surprising, I quit SW:TOR after considering it over the weekend after the game released. The best way to get a corporation's attention is to screw with their bottom line. because then the board starts questioning whats going on, and then everyone from the CEO to the janitor on the the bottom floor starts worrying about their job.

I quit ToR because i loved these games SO much, that the endings just made it unbearable to actually play a bioware game because it reminded me of all the good times that were meaningless now.

Still have faith in bioware...will restore subscription once fixed...

This hurts me....

I have to admit that ME3 took the wind out of my Bioware sails. I played a bit after I finished ME3, and I realized that I feel like Bioware isn't the same company I told my friends about a few years ago. It seems like ME2 was the last product of their's I enjoyed.

DA2 was a huge disappointment. I thought that it may have just been a mulligan, and faithfully continued in my support of Bioware, while looking forward to TOR and ME3. I had fun with TOR, but after getting my first lvl 50 character, the grinding factor in the game and the time involved just doesn't seem worth it anymore. The story was decent, but not enticing enough to make me dying to go through it again.

ME3 is really where I lost faith. I've already posted my review, but I would have been able to overlook everything else I didn't care for had it not been for the ending. Until I get some kind of good faith reciprocation from Bioware, I don't see how they have earned my money or faith until then. It really pains me to say that too, because I love the company, or at least I used to.

The ball really is in their court now. This entire thing is within their power to fix, should they choose to do so, and I sincerely hope they do.

Yes even after DA2. DA2 had flaws but was still decent. I still trusted them.

After this? After being hurt this badly? That trust is gone, completely, and I can't handle playing any of their games.

This.

Tbh, It can't be said that I was enjoying SW:TOR all that much anymore. I was giving it the benefit of a doubt.
They were hinting that they didn't give a damn about their customers either, but were blindly following what they believed to be mass market appeal.

In the end, DA2, the ending of ME3 and the overall desing of SW:TOR worked together to severely damage my trust in this company. SW:TOR was simply the one where I could make my discontent being felt most directly

It's pretty substantial, when you start to add up the dollar signs.

People disliking the ending is pretty much the majoirty of the base, large enough for me to support them, even if I can content myself with it. I don't condone the extreme end of the protest, but I never would for any cause. The point, however, is more important than the outliers misbehaving to draw attention to it - every cause is going to have that problem.

BioWare might not think about it, but they've got a large problem on their hands. Mass Effect was a major franchise for them, and they broke trust and faith by creating an ending that many find damaging.

Sure, there are going to be some that buy into the "Sci-Fi Epic" speach, but they have to understand that Gaming is not the same creative medium as movies or books. It is viewed by the community as a shared property, even if legaly that's not the case.

And when the bulk of your income is built on the trust and love of those enchanted by a franchise, you don't end the discussion by admitting you 'disagree' or cite other social groups as refrence when you have a mob right at your doorstep, figuratively speaking.

So far, BioWare is handeling this poorly, in my view, and it's likely going to cost them My SWTOR subscription as well. Not because of just the endings, but because their actions as a company are slipping further and further from the realm of conduct and friendlyness that makes the company stand out over others.

The way to win over and maintain loyalty is to grow closer to your base, not further away. They should learn a lesson from their own games and writing.

I would say the lost a whole lot of 'affection points' on this one.

I haven't played SWTOR in a while, and just cancelled my subscription. Aside from some posts, there's no way other than to not give them my money to let them know how I feel. The only other time in my life I've been let down by people I admire and respected and loved their products was after Pantera broke up. Saw Anselmo at a Super Joint Ritual concert where he was an utter douchebag about the whole thing. Then a few months later Dime was shot and killed. While I can still jam out to an occasional Pantera song, I haven't been able to listen to an entire album since. At least with this situation, Bioware has a chance to fix it and possibly earn some of my trust back, though admittedly it's going to take some time and how they treat any future products of theirs.

Cancelling my account is probably one of the only ways I can actually financially express my discontent with the endings. Since I have the digital version I can't exactly return it for a refund. So ya, talk with your wallet and eventually people will start to listen.

Hold to line!

In all honesty, I'm considering no longer buying Biotronic Arts products myself, as horrendous as both DA2 and ME3 were.

I have decided I will no longer preorder anymore of their products, and how soon I buy/how much I pay will depend on fan reviews

I was on the fence to buying more Bioware products. Was going for DA and thinking of trying out never winter nights as my friend wanted me to get it. Now.... No just no.

this is good news. the recoil this has will only make our opinion stronger.. if bioware loses money on multiple fronts they will actually take notice. like i stated many times before. bioware arnt our friends nor ar they artists. they are company a business that makes products ment for the sole purpose of earning money. they only talk in money and only listen to money.

we cut off their money. they will do whatever it takes to get our money back, simple as that. this is also one of the main reasons games in general are still expensive and mediocre because we allow them to be. inresponsible consumers are the nail on the coffin that is the gaming industry of today.

so i applaud to the people that quit their accounts on TOR and i think everyone who is dissapointed at bioware should stop buying their products.

just remember. we set their bar of quality (afterall why put in more work if you get payed for less right?)

I cancelled my account. I had been intending to do it before the renew date this month anyway, it's almost coincidence that I did it this week but I guess it will help the cause.

This. I haven't canceled my SWTOR subscription yet, but I'm so close to doing so.  I'm giving it a few weeks to see what Bioware does before I turn out the lights.

Do it the other way around. Turn out the lights now and resubscribe if they do something good instead. Makes it muich easier for them to see what is "paragon" and what is "Casey"

Flagship properties either provide a halo to other products... or they drag them down with them. Entirely predictable what would happen if Bioware screwed up both their DA and their ME franchises. I do hope the original Bioware owners took the buyout in cash, and not EA stock.
