Meh. I stopped caring after ME2/DA2, really after EA acquired them.
It's disappointing but life goes on. Reading what others think on these forums is also interesting.
TOR to me is on the hot seat for my own reasons.(still enjoying my SW story though)
Yup, thanks for the ME3 endings. My SWTOR guild just got jacked.

6th straight evening where we didn't have enough people to do anything, and could only sit in trade hubs watching people argue about ME3 on chat.
Byebye bounty hunter. Unsuscribing.
LOL.
That really sucks.
At least in FFXI you could run off and do something by yourself.

I bought SWTOR because I had trusted and enjoyed BioWare's writing.
There's a new update to SWTOR coming soon. After this utter crap, do I really expect it to be anything worth playing?

I really should cancel my TOR account. I haven't played it in a while and when I hit Voss on my second character I kind of lost all will to play.

Just cancelled my TOR acct as well. It had already been stagnating for a month with the lack of content, but I was willing to keep it active until the 1.2 patch.
But after this nonsense, especially with the dismissive ramblings of Casey Hudsen, Bioware will no longer be getting a dime of my money until this issue is resolved.

Again, I've mentioned this several times:
The furor over ME3 ending is more than simply being disappointed in the ending. It's that Bioware implicitly foisted a message that many people felt was completely and utterly offensive and repulsive.
I am not surprised many choose to never trust Bioware again. It's that big of a slap on the face to be told that "Space Hitler reading Mein Kampf to you" is a compelling ending.

i cancelled my subscription too.
as a consumer..the only way i can voice my discontent and have it be taken seriously is to vote with my wallet. it's up to the company to restore/repair the bond of trust between themselves and us (the consumer).

Yes the main story, about 200 hours for me were incredibly enjoyable.

Bumping this one more time because it ties well with something mentioned in the "Bioware in full damage control/PR mode" thread.

When I read this thread a lot of ppl quit becasue of ME3 ending but it wasn't the only reason. I quit for 2 reasons not just one. I was kinda bored of the game, but I was willing to wait until the 1.2. With the ME3 deblacle I didn't want to wait anymore and just quit. Now, I'm really not sure I will play again at the 1.2. Diablo 3 is coming soon, so I'm pretty sure I won't resub.

Latest update - my former guild and another guild that they 'partnered' to make up for lost numbers have folded.
Hey BW, how's the "5 million players by end of 2012" projection coming along?

SW:TOR's end game was dull. ME3 was the last push I needed to rage quit it.

So many I know are exactly in the same boat. Not suprising since KOTOR started both ME and SWTOR so the fan base is highly overlapping.

It boils down to customer loyalty working both ways.
Exactly. I mean, I totally get it that it is sort of unfair to the SWTOR team, and I might not quit if I had a subscription, but I completely understand why someone would quit. Companies put their label on everything they make so the customer will associate it with other products and increase chances of sales. But it goes the other way just as easily. When someone doesn't like a product that sticks with them, and they are less likely to buy something else with the same label on it. They were already burned once, why risk it?
And it's also important to keep in mind that while other people worked on SWTOR, thos subscription fees find their way back to the same company. Every part of Bioware works for EA and since EA controls financial decisions, it's not a terrible way to send a message. I might not do it, but I can understand those that do.
