I would bet on it not having flopped at all. BSN jumps up and down and throws hissy fits and toys out the pram at the slightest element they dislike. With each new title they get more arrogant and agressive. They most of the time feel Bioware owes them when they do not actually owe them anymore than what is written on the box or label of the product. After a few weeks to a month from releasing a new game these forums tend to get more civil and those ranting and attacking other people who might have enjoyed something they did not tends to get lower in occurrence even if does not vanish completley. Honestley with fans like some of those on here, the phrase "with friends lke you, who needs enemies" could be applied with great validity. This post this thread served one purpose to let Bioware know the OP enjoyed what he bought, he did not go into other threads and attack them but you feel you have the right and entitled (some of you) to attack his thread because he liked something you did not. Grow up and take a good long look at yourselves in the mirror.
I notice you didn't answer the point. Because it's not answerable. The boards were not like this at all for ME1 or ME2. Sure people didn't like it, but it was nowhere near the vast majority opinion we have on the ME3 endings, 90-10. So obviously, these forums are not just for people who are whiny and entitled and only come on here if they don't like a game, since we loved ME1 and ME2.
It also had vastly less user and members, I also stated it has got worse over time the fans immature attitudes and that is why it is worse now than prior. I answered the question you just did not acknowledge it.
I'm sensing a pattern in your answers. Evidence is presented contrary to your viewpoint. You respond with an excuse why that evidence doesn't matter and present no evidence of your own to prove your viewpoint. Rinse and repeat.
You're not worth the time anymore, lol. Nothing I say or present is going to make an impact, obviously.
Have fun in your little fantasy world where evidence obviously doesn't matter.
Ironically I am the one having fun because I enjoyed the game while you did not.
Ignorance is bliss, indeed.
Actually, though you're incorrect. I vastly enjoyed 99% of the game, and the MP.
I just want the last 1% to correctly reflect my decisions over the past three games and to make sense. It doesn't even have to be happy, just definitive.
i can respect what ur saying, but how would u want them to do it exactly? u want a new mission with the ending? a epilogue DLC? what would u do if u were Bioware

Are you done posting effin' SPOILERS? Ah, sacrifices made for nothing are nonsensical.... God, the idiocy!
My guess is either indoctrination or utter exhaustion. She broke down in her own blood only moments before.
That's not why its nonsensical, at all. Its nonsensical because the ending simply doesn't fit the ME universe.
And if this entire thing was just a setup and she was indoctrinated, then its an entirely different situation. My problem is with the endings as they are now.
I sure as hell hope that theory is correct, but I don't see why BW wouldn't have said something on that matter by now.
They are waiting till the storm calms a bit and people are less caught up in the melodrama. Smart thing to do. But I sure as hell would welcome some input here.

Persephone pointed out that this thread is, for some reason, in the Gen. Discussion area of the forums, which I missed. In the spoiler section, there is a thread that is 450 pages long now. The theory that thread is based on is how I would want them to do it, I think.

Possibly. However, they're losing sales by waiting. The price in Asia has dropped 25%, and the game isn't even released yet. Being as BW is a company, don't you think they would have said something? Dropped a major hint, or just something to let people ME3 isn't yet done?

We rarely agree re: the ending. But I could get on board with that as an OPTION.

Who cares? 35,000 dollars raised for sick kids regardless of whether or not a new ending comes out.
That's a good way to channel your negative feelings about anything. I could care less if their cause was to help pigs fly, if it gets that much money to sick kids that likely would not have gotten there otherwise, it's a good thing.

To be fair, I have yet to see an official game forum that has what you would call "mature" fans. Also, the fact is a large amount of people will almost invariably be defined by their most outrageous members. It sucks but it's true. There are actually a lot of fans that want changes to the endings, but are very civil about it.Persephone wrote...
Or maybe that their "fandom" is more known for harassing/threatening devs and behaving immaturely? Even TES fans aren't as notorious in that regard.

This poll is invalid, because it is done on a place known for having a bias against bioware.
If BioWare's VERY OWN FORUMS are a place with a BIAS AGAINST BIOWARE, that alone shows there is something not right about what they do.

Because TES gives you a construction set and fans fix their sh!t for themselves. But at any rate, BioWare is only treatened badly because many feel betrayed.
I admit,. I think you are right that many overreact.
But there is a reason for these feelings.

Agreed here. People can argue about the morality of it all day, and people do this all the time "Hey, look at me! I donated tons of money to [worthy cause]! See how good of a person I am?" But the people that get the donations certainly don't care where the money is from, the important thing is that they got the money.Rafe34 wrote...

That's how Gabriel Knight III, which ended on a CLIFFHANGER (THAT is and ENDING to be DEPRESSED about!), NEVER got is finale. The fans killed the franchise they wanted to save.

This. People don't just throw $37,000 at wanting a new ending. They throw $37,000 at wanting a new ending by raising awareness, through donating to a charity. As much as people want a new ending, I can guarantee people wouldn't give some random person $37,000 worth if he said "donate to me for new ending" or something. Cause+Cause=$37k donations in 24 hours.

oh yea ur right, i just dont see how you guys let 5 minutes destroy 3 games worth? especially since you dont even know what Bioware plans to do. Just like people didnt like Javik's voice at first then after they heard it in game all the "i hate his voice" threads ceased, just like people didnt like that there was no trial at the beginnign of the game but once people actually got into the game all that stopped.

no ones is sabotaging anything: they paid for a product, they have all the rights in the world to share their opinion about it. If the 90% is unhappy or disappointed is just bioware fault

That is sad. But what can you do instead?
Trying to trick people into buying so more people pay?
That would only make Bio and EA go "look we raised sales, obviously our direction was great lets do it again!"
