I think ME3 deserve a 10/10, and I see the bad points about the Catalyst and TIM, but even with these it's still a damned good game.

Not perfect, and a 10/10 is sure as hell not perfect just like a 10 grade in school doesn't mean perfection.

I also agree with this :)

10/10 does mean Perfect though.....

Also assets don't matter and so you waste 27+ hours building up things that don't matter only to have them replaced by generic army of crap.

Ehh, they are all space magic-y colored. And I went in with 2911, did not multiplayer. It was a pain in the ass. I didn't even know you had to have a certain amount of assets to get the "different" endings until a couple days ago. What a kick in the nuts that THAT is why we're getting the war assets.

True but red and blue are at least very remotely believable. Green is so far out of League even a space wizard would call bullsh!t

And I agree the asset thing was stupid. They got rid of planet scanning for minerals, and I am thankful for that, but why did they give us asset scanning? Better leave it out...

Edit: Althouh Asset scanning sounds almost like ass scanning, and I can quite see why many would do that with squadmates like Liara around. I mean, I did as well, especially in Purgatory.

Game was perfect until the end, which doesn't give a rats @ss about choices you made since the first game. It completely invalidates everything you did. All those moral ambiguities of the genophage and geth conflict are pointless due to being railroaded into 3 endings that are almost identical.

Ignorance is bliss, indeed.

Actually, though you're incorrect. I vastly enjoyed 99% of the game, and the MP.

I just want the last 1% to correctly reflect my decisions over the past three games and to make sense. It doesn't even have to be happy, just definitive.

i can respect what ur saying, but how would u want them to do it exactly? u want a new mission with the ending? a epilogue DLC? what would u do if u were Bioware

Persephone pointed out that this thread is, for some reason, in the Gen. Discussion area of the forums, which I missed. In the spoiler section, there is a thread that is 450 pages long now. The theory that thread is based on is how I would want them to do it, I think.

oh yea ur right, i just dont see how you guys let 5 minutes destroy 3 games worth? especially since you dont even know what Bioware plans to do. Just like people didnt like Javik's voice at first then after they heard it in game all the "i hate his voice" threads ceased, just like people didnt like that there was no trial at the beginnign of the game but once people actually got into the game all that stopped.

It didn't destroy the games for me.

The problem is, I find it very hard to play them again knowing where everything is going.

I still say Javik's voice is hilarious. But that's just funny.

And I still want the trial as DLC. That I would pay for, if the endings got fixed. I expected something epic, like maybe Shep's mom coming to talk to you before the trial for Spacer Shep, people standing up in your defense, and then the whole thing getting interrupted by an epic "OBJECTION" from Harbinger/the Reapers. Wouldn't that have been ridiculously awesome?

Rather than 10/10 give it an 8 and explain why. Not zeros. SUPPORT the game but ALSO let Bioware know what you want without melodrama, anger, rudeness, threats and the like.

Thing is this: This is a natural ending point. If the Sales fail, there won't just be no "Endings DLC" for those who can't play ME3 without it but ALSO no more ME ever. If EA is calling the shots, that is how they operate. You are playing into their hands....They might as well force ME shut and get Bioware to do a new franchise that is ENTIRELY controlled by them. That's my fear, anyway.

That is true, hence why in some threads I say that ME3 wold have been one of the best games ever if not for the ending.

To me, it still is. If the endings are worked on via expansion or DLC, it'll be the best game I ever played. And I think Bioware knows this. Which is why I'm waiting for official input.

Agreed there. It was one of the best games I've played, TW2, DAO, Skyrim, KOAR, and ME3 would be top-5 and you would be hard-pressed to get me to put those in any kind of order, but the ending knocks it down to top-15 or so.

I don't come the forums that often, but I know enough about what's going about how people are angry over the ending, so on and so forth.

But I think the ending was amazing (and perfect, at least in terms to me). It answered all my questions and I felt relieved and happy to see how everything came together. I'm happy Bioware left a lot open at the end because I can make up my own stories about what happens here on out (or until Bioware releases DLC if it takes place after the events of the final conflict).

Either way, I cried TWICE during the story and had TWO jaw dropping moments. Bioware, you outdid yourself again and I'm happy that this was something I truly enjoyed and loved.

I've been here since Mass Effect 1 first came out and I'm honored to know I was here at the end.

Now I know how all those people who read the Harry Potter books from start to finish feel and why they cried when they finished it.

Mass Effect is the story I will remember for the rest of my life. Thank you Bioware.

HERE HERE, Love the ending, I fully support you and MAss Effect 3, bioware for LIFE!

SPOILERS FOLLOWING
Heh even if it's just a few of us we will defend our right express liking it. :wizard:

Here's my reason why I loved it.

I liked everything about it (although the format of final choice has been done many times before).
  • I loved from Anderson and Shepard sitting together near the end. It was a touching moment.
  • The scenery walking down towards your fate as the battle rages outside showing every second walking is taking it's toll on life of others.
  • The crew leaving the ship in lush green forest looking up at the sky (especially Ash which was my LI), smiling and looking happy to be alive (I like to think fondly remembering my Shepard and their love for each other). On a land so far away and an adventure about to begin to trying to reach home.
  • Seeing Joker and EDI together where they can be together, a bond present since ME2.
  • The music at the end.
  • Shepard giving everything he has to save everyone after being hit by the Reaper near the end, the feeling that he gave it his all and saved the ones he loved while bleeding to death and barely hanging on to life.
  • The final scene on the planet with nice scenery looking at the moon with grandfather and child talking about what once was and the story inspiring the child to reach for the stars and knowing life goes on plus more including imagining how they lived out the remainder of their lives, were they happy or sad, did they remember him decades on and will peace remain all sparks imagination.
  • I felt all the choices had an impact in the game during the game, the repercussions occur in time but I am gone and not present so naturally I do not or would not know how things turn out for everyone.
  • I liked how TiM reacted and what he says as he looks at the Earth after my actions too when I shot him.
  • You were told the game would provide closure to elements brought up in the first two. This was done in the game rather than the ending and I felt they accomlished it very well. You will never get 100% closure on everything because the outcomes are infinite over time. You make choice x save it saves y (closure), he goes on and lives happy life or sad one (closure), he had a child and that child went on and lived his life (closure) again and goes on forever.
  • It feels like a title/game that shows more than most others implies the journey matters most rather than the destination and last five or ten minutes of the game and I am happy with that.
  • The choices I had hard time choosing which to do and that is good, I RP as my character in those situations and that world. I do not play as a god controlling his every actions and knows every consequence. Played it through his eyes and it was good for that reason and why I had a back and forth between choices/platforms at end as I struggled to pick one.

I enjoyed the entire game up until the end. Anderson's death was very emotional. But after that, it all fell apart. I still give the game a 9.6, just if that ending was good. -sigh- What could have been...

I am glad that your happy and all but I seriously don't see how the ending as it is answers any questions at all.  It only raises more questions.

Btw, those people who were saying the polls here were biased. Here's you another one http://www.computera...ioware-blow-it/

Out of 5,600 votes, 86% think Bioware blew the endings, only 4% less than here.

Reading the the comments, a good bit of the remaining 14% believe Bioware still has something up their sleeve- the real ending isn't out there yet. I'd say our 90% poll holds up rather well.

Do not worry their flames merely bounce off our flame resistant love of what we enjoyed and gained pleasure in taking part in. We are the ones who are happy, entertained and not miserable. We win by default because of this.

This is kind of funny the BSN forum posters are full of idiots.

Guy comes on saying he enjoys the game: NOBODY CARES!
Guy comes on saying he hates the game: YA WE ALL AGREE!
Guy tries to comment saying what he liked in a thread with People saying they hated the game:NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOUR OPINIONS!

Then you would be wrong on both counts. He is not troll and people did enjoy and find the ending satisfying even if others did not.

Insulting someone by calling them immature illogically does not make you mature.
