I've noticed those who like the ending don't really ponder the implications of the ending. And the plot holes the ending created; plot holes that now go all the way back to ME1.

Ignorance is a bliss I would often pay for. Over analyzing things, as wonderful a trait as I have found it, can certainly effect ones enjoyment of things.

Heres your ending, even comes with color coordination so your ignorant mind can understand it.

I'm perfectly willing to let minor plot holes and inconsistancies slide by if the ending is enjoyable.   This isn't a minor plot hole.  This is a plot hole so large it makes the entire trilogy pointless.

Hoo, you're assuming I like the endings.

Cute.

Again, assuming I like them. I don't. Read my entire posts more carefully and if you still don't get it find my ones in spoiler sections.

I find the endings to be salvagable but not optimal. I could have lived with them. Add the scenes afterward and everything falls apart for me. I was extremely unsatisfied.

You know how little kids usually find more enjoyment out of the cardboard box than they do the actual toy? That's pretty much what's going on here. Let your mind wander all you want, it's s till a cardboard box. Or in this case, a deus ex machina ending.

But isn't being happy with a cardboard box kind of a beautiful thing? I always thought so.

I'd love to find more things enjoyable personally and disregard what I find to be glaring flaws. But I'm not sure I agree with painting people who like the endings as "children" of sorts. We all experienced the first two games differently and that can dramaticly change ones experience of the third. On top of that, there are also those who are just joining us for mass effect.

There's a lot of perspectives to consider. Still, I was left unsatisfied and when it comes down to it, it's human nature to put your preferences first.

I don't come the forums that often, but I know enough about what's going about how people are angry over the ending, so on and so forth.

But I think the ending was amazing (and perfect, at least in terms to me). It answered all my questions and I felt relieved and happy to see how everything came together. I'm happy Bioware left a lot open at the end because I can make up my own stories about what happens here on out (or until Bioware releases DLC if it takes place after the events of the final conflict).

Either way, I cried TWICE during the story and had TWO jaw dropping moments. Bioware, you outdid yourself again and I'm happy that this was something I truly enjoyed and loved.

I've been here since Mass Effect 1 first came out and I'm honored to know I was here at the end.

Now I know how all those people who read the Harry Potter books from start to finish feel and why they cried when they finished it.

Mass Effect is the story I will remember for the rest of my life. Thank you Bioware.

Too easy for someone from EA/Bioware to make an account and 'pose' as the general public...

Saying that your post contradicts itself, you said it answered all your questions but then you go on to say that it leaves it open making you to make up your own mind on what happens next so to speak.

So it being left open hasnt answered any of the questions, and judging from what everyone has been saying on how bad the ending is given all the hard work you put into trying to save the galaxy i am even more inclined to go with my first statement.

Looks like someones been indoctrinated *rolls eyes*

I hope you don't assume everything before taking time to sit down and think before you write (or talk). I never once stated exactly what the game answered, only that it answered my questions.

If you think I'm indoctrinated, I think you are something I can't type out because it would be rude and I would likely be flagged.

Don't assume to understand what fullfilled the story for me and I feel no need to explain why I was content with it, if you can't get over the fact that I enjoyed the ending and that it didn't live up to something you were expecting, you have a lot more to worry about in life than one man's opinion.

So you were fine with the Reapers motivation? Yo dawg, to save you from being destroyed by synthetics we're going to use synthetics to destroy you every 50,000 years.

Or the plot inconsistencies or plotholes? Shepard's blind acceptance of everything the Starchild says and lack of investigate option? The "Pick your favorite color" ending sequence where literally none of your decisions throughout the game mattered?

Reapers save all the genetic material, knowledge, and indivduality of all the ascended per ME 2. Not a fate I'd want but it is in a way saving the entirety of the species. If humanity were destroyed by say the geth nithing would remain. Perhaps they can be remade once again when the threat is averted. The ones that cannot be ascended have been used such as keepers and collectors and also may be reverted. The husks created serve a purpose and could also be possibly changed back. Shepard figured out how to prevent a future apocalypse and ended the cycle.

Good to hear, I liked the game too, more than I would've thought. I like it more than Mass Effect 2, don't know if I would put it above Mass Effect though, I haven't given it much thought.

Sorry if anyone here is being a jackass.

And I won't. Maybe people didn't read what I wrote or understand it, but I thought I made it clear when I said "at least in terms of me", that is to say it made ME happy. I respect and understand that people are upset over the ending, but it starting to seem like a few people are trying to force their opinions on others to find a complaint that isn't worth bringing up if someone loved the ending.

It doesn't make you ignorant or easily amused if you enjoyed the ending.

Or maybe they didn't get the concept that everyone is different which is one of the themes of Mass Effect.

Oh god... so you are well aware of what it means when a Mass Relay gets destroyed?
Must... be.... nice...

The Normandy crashed on a planet, so that means that relays don't take out systems when they die, anymore. All the normandy has to do is jump back to earth, oh wait, without relays it's going to take them decades to get back, if they are lucky, assuming they can even get the Normandy off the ground.

More like weeks, given FTL travel times without relays. The freeways are gone, but the highways are good enough to travel on.

Did you get a secret copy of the game where the assets mattered and weren't replaced with a generic token force that dies?

The purpose of that child playing with that object is for his entertainment and enjoyment. That is exactly what games are (form of entertainment not an oxygen supply or new national law). If you did not enjoy the ending thats your issue. Others enjoyed it and that is the purpose for which they bought the game.

Glad you don't mind our Shepard being forced OOC and choosing one of three stock endings given to us by the damn leader of the enemy of the entire ME series.

Maybe your Shep gives up at the end and just agrees to the leader of the Reapers three solutions, but mine will continue to sit there at the end, refusing to make that choice, refusing to submit to the Reapers.
