After I've actually had the time to process the ending and the multitude of feelings it evoked, I don't actually have much of a problem with it any more. I've learned that I'm in the minority, but it's always nice to see like minded people speak their mind!

Good for you. Some people enjoy drinking urine. Doesn't mean it tastes good. Mass Effect 3 was a very good or even great game that was ruined by the ending.

Be happy about it, OP.

I wish I was as easily to satisfy as well.

er.

So because I enjoyed the ending you assume I'm easily satisfied, I don't understand what some of you aren't getting. You don't know what I enjoyed or what made me happy and I don't feel there is any reason for me to explain what did.

But DON'T pretend ot understand how I think.

Oh but it is quite easy: You are satisfied with something. I am not, because I think it sucks.
Now, I happen to like myself more than you (no offense), and therefore I consider my own opinion more valuable. Consequently, you must be easier to satisfy than me, since you are happy with things I consider trash.

Edit: the post above yours makes a good point as well.

Once I accepted that I was basically playing a shooter with a little added cinematic depth that required two previous games to develop characters, I had a pretty good time. But with EA in charge now, I suggest remembering Bioware as it was--th same way us older gamers fondly remember Sierra under the WIlliams' rule.

Assets don't matter, no idea how you could enjoy an ending that ignores what you did for 27+ hours.

Philosophically speaking, yes.
But I actually prefer the term "honest" - everyone who does not consider himself the most important person in the universe, with his loved ones a close second but noone (except your own children maybe) more important, is either:
a) Jesus
B) a liar
or c) mentally ill.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion which I have stated numerous times. I see that my explanation for things isn't enough to simply let things be. I hope that you all find what you are looking for in what ever it is you are seeking.

If the OP is happy with the ending, I don't think we should attack them for having that view, or be condescending; it's nice that at least someone enjoyed it, and we should envy them, not hate them.

I would like to ask the OP though, (I know that you said you "didn't have to explain yourself", but if you want to, here's my questions.)

What did you think of the plot inconsistencies? Because I think I would be on your side if not for that; it was upsetting to see Shepard's end, (I bawled throughout the credits,) but tbh, I could live with that. - It would just show that the moral of the story is that some enemies are just too big to defeat, and the lack of control over the ending shows the real lack of control that Shepard has over the galaxy. It's a sad end, but I can understand it.

However, the problem I have, and the problem that most people have; there is no closure. There is no explanation of what happened, how anything happened, or how your squad members managed to magically teleport into the Normandy. Are you simply not bothered by this?

No offense, but maybe people do not get your point because you didnt actually explain it - in fact, you said that you dont feel the need to do so which, while a perfectly valid attitude, does make understanding hard.

And you misunderstand the purpose of games.

The purpose of games is to be fun. Some care about the storyline enough that a bad ending ruins the fun for them. (The others play WoW or CoD multiplayer:P)

The reason why all those attacking him and even in my own thread where I also stated I enjoyed the ending is because they are petty and bitter people. They treat others with aggression and belittle their stance because they feel that if people show they enjoyed it then their stance is diminished if not "everyone" hates it. That is what is going on in here, that is what happened with DA2 and that is what happened in my thread.

The sad part is, the 15% that like the ending would have liked it if the ending was enough for 80% to like it.

And people wonder why this fandom's reputation is as low as it is.

Bandwagon hopping and entitled hysteria. Sickening. (And I don't even like the endings all that much)

Sorry forgot to add response about last statement in your comment.

As I stated on another site... You were told the game would provide closure to elements brought up in the first two. This was done in the game rather than the ending. You will never get 100% closure on everything because the outcomes are infinite over time. You make choice x save it saves y (closure), he goes on and lives happy life or sad one (closure), he had a child and that child went on and lived his life (closure) again and goes on forever.

I am genuinely happy for the OP and everyone else who loved the game from start to finish and I wish like hell I was one of you.
