It doesn't, can't really complain if someone wants to look for others with similar interests.

I'd imagine it is more about sharing common interests than anything~ I'm not going to talk about who would win in a strip tease competition between Vega and Kaiden(FWI: It's Kaiden)while playing with straight guys. :3

Really? I think I'd get a chuckle out of that.
I guess people are too uptight, then. I'll take the person over their orientation, but I've spent enough time on Xbox Live that I can see why homosexuals would be a bit gunshy. Figuratively speaking.
The same discrimination goes towards women. Which really sucks, because many of my favorite gamers to talk to are female, once they're comfortable.

It's like me wanting to meet up with other twenty-somethings from massachusetts, we have a lot in common and have more fun together because of it.
Wicked true.
Play with me, though, and watch your points come up as empty as Buckner's glove. You'd have an easier time scoring as a Yankees fan at the Big Easy, pa.
Sorry. I just saw "The Departed" for like the sixth time. Love that movie.

The fact that you said "Gaymers" made me laugh SO hard.
And that joke about the pyro's.... uber classy.
But I admit that you don't need to make a new thread asking for a particular "Niche" of gamers to play with.
Just make a thread saying "Looking for a team" no need to mention the homosexual part. If they are true gamers they won't care what background you are, just how well you play.
Usually people avoid things with 'gay' in it... just saying.
(Not homosexual but I understand where you are coming from.)
*face palm* I'm not just looking for "a team"... I'm looking for a gay team or at least a team of straight allies. I'd prefer not to play with ignorant and/or homophobic people. That's just a personal preference!
I know I'll work harder to obliterate my enemies with biotic explosions before they do any damage to my teammates *if* I know my team is made up of likeminded individuals. And I'd go out of my way to revive a gay player because I'd feel an inherent sense of solidarity with them. Basically, playing with gaymers would be more fun and interesting in my opinion. Why is that so hard to understand?

No, I'm not "super flamboyant". In fact, I doubt you'd be able to tell I'm gay if you met me. But what does that have to do with anything?
And actually, I read that in the Spartan army, homosexuality was, to some extent, encouraged because it was believed to assist in troop morale and unit cohesion (if you're fighting side by side with a lover, you'll probably do everything you can to make sure you both survive).

Do some track and field on the football green.
Go to the locker room, do some weight training...
(I was listening to this song and I saw this thread pop up. Don't ask why I was listening to the song.)

Bit of historical nit-picking, I know, but I believe that was a certain group in the Theban army.
Seriously, though, I understand the need to make a thread like this sometimes. I'll refrain from trying to join since I'm a straight guy.

Using sexuality as a defining personality trait makes me seriously, seriously disappointed in the human race. Why should this matter when you're playing Mass Effect 3? I honestly do not understand why this needs to be a factor in deciding who you game with. This is as bad as being homophobic.

So...You also get upset when female gamers seek to play with each other or even gamers solely interested in vanguards and infiltrators want to play together? Because those are also common interests groups as far as I can tell. So on behalf of the minuscule population here, I apologize for us earning your disappointment in the human race for seeking out others that are similar to ourselves.

No, not at all. Gender is one thing, sexuality is another. These are two seperate issues and in an online multiplayer game, you'd be daft to suggest that females aren't treated differently by males (especially teenagers in multiplayer online games).
Claiming the same because you're gay is ridiculous. No one can tell you're gay online. No one cares if you're gay online. No one needs to know you're gay when you're online. Nothing you do in Mass Effect 3 has anything to do with your sexuality. You do not have sexual relations with other people through the multiplayer portion of Mass Effect 3.
Ostricising yourself from the greater community SIMPLY for the fact you're gay is nonsensical, foolish and immature.
Then again; pot meet kettle. I started this. Time for me to back out. Have a nice day.

However, there's no reason anyone should try to stop you from playing with who you want to play with. If you want to play on a team with only gay people, I will only wish you luck and hope you get a lot of exp and creds. If you don't, I will only wish you luck and hope you get a lot of exp and creds. If you don't care, I will only wish you luck and hope you get a lot of exp and creds. This is a social networking tool; don't be a tool because someone wants to expand their social network.

Gay people being "sexist" about their team formation on a...GAME.
That's a new level of dissapointment for the human race and culture.

I'll keep that in mind next time in ME3 I'm standing over a downed republican. Or someone who makes more money than me. Or a vegetarian.
Sorry, but this kind of comment is ridiculous. Little bit silly to go out of one's way to isolate themselves.
Bottom line, it really shouldn't matter. The ultimate goal is to have fun playing with people who also have fun playing with you. Last I checked, gay isn't a personality or a collaboration skill in video games. Look at it from the other way around - what are you going to do, turn away other people who end up having fun because they don't fit your lifestyle? All I know is I haven't made any threads asking for straight gamers, people who don't cook their steaks over medium rare, or people who live within 10 miles of me.
And if I ever did, I'd feel the same. I don't believe in meaningless self-recognition. To be fair, this same kind of thread could be made asking for certain races only. Ridiculous.
edit: BTW, not responding to this thread. Everyone has an opinion and so do I. That is all, over and out.
