Nah, I like the title just fine. ^_^
And it's funny because the only people who seem to have a real problem with the title (or the topic of the thread in general) are the same people we were trying to avoid in the first place!
You *clearly* didn't come to this thread because you wanted to play Mass Effect with us and I think I speak for most of us when I say WE DON'T WANT TO PLAY WITH YOU EITHER.
So have a nice life!

So I can't comment a thread? I didn't use any trash words, didn't said anything offensive in terms of 'you should all fry in hell' and I didn't even use any offensive wording like gay, lesb etc. until now.

Those words aren't even offensive, really. It's like the "n" word. Context, mah boi.
THAT WAS JUST AN EXAMPLE, DON'T MAKE THIS A RACISM THREAD.

Actually his words WERE offensive.
He said “man-man” sex is “DISGUSTING”… TWICE.
That’s hateful and UNECESSARY.
I don’t think anyone in WORLD cares what DravicPL thinks about “man-man” sex... so it's in his best interests to keep his mouth shut regarding such topics.

He needs to check out Shep and Kaidan's love scene in ME3, that sh!t was HOT!
To the ugly batarian that said the only thing this thread did was to give them a list of people to avoid (thank you for that by the way, I would appreciate your avoidance of me), all I can say is that all this thread did was give me a list of awesome players to play with.  I can no longer play with randoms because there is no fun in it anymore.  If not for meeting players to play with, I may have given up on ME3 MP.

Austin/Game_Fan_85: The Kaidan/Mshep scene WAS really hot!!!
(But I think we agreed that trolls are ugly vorcha, not batarians! :P)

And yeah, now I’m spoiled because I don’t want to play with randoms either… you guys (and girls and gender non-conforming individuals) really are awesome!
:D

No. But he's a physicist, so he's quite alright in my book.

alienatedflea you are utterly missing the point. if you are respectful toward gay people and aren't going to toss out slurs like it's your job, then just put your name on the damn list.

all I am asking, why be respectful to just gay people? How about being respectful to others because its the right thing to do?! It doesn't matter what race you might be, what religion you might practice, what side of politics you are on, or your opinion is on specific topics...but clearly I am wrong on that hence the fact you said I am missing the "point".

i would like to add that even though people may say something like thats to gay its usually not meant as a slur or said to hurt someones feelings. the unfortunant truth is that the word has become a part of peoples vocabulary. so next time someone says something like that try not to take offence to it unless it is directed at you. just explain that it you dont like it and hope they take it well. there are less homophobes than people think nowadays.

Better idea: Instead of telling gay people "try not to take offense," tell straight people "try not to say this thing that you know offends people."

Uh, no.  It is still a negative and negative by association.  "It's just a word, it doesn't mean anything" is not an excuse.  Of course it means something, otherwise there would not be such a campaign to get rid of 'gay' being used as a pejorative.  Why not simply encourage people to crack open a thesaurus and pick one of the many other words listed under the word 'dumb' rather than trying to turn gay into something of a negative put down.

Dear straight guy,
You're awesome!

Dear robertm2,
When people say "that's gay" what most of them mean is "that's stupid!"
I'm sorry but gay does NOT equal stupid.
If you think something is stupid, just call it stupid!
Equating stupidity with homosexuality is offensive. Period.

I see it this way, the people who complain: "Saying you're only looking for gays and gay-friendly people is discrimination!"

Would, by principle, also agree that a person running into a church with a machine gun, covered in blood, and then being told to leave could say "this church discriminates against mass murderers!"

Exact same concept. Know your boundaries. If your mind can't be rational, your posts can't be here.

Chances are no matter which kind of slur being used, people will be offended. The solution is not to get used to hearing slur, it's to not use it in the first place.

Using slur makes you look like a fool, I don't think anyone in this thread appreciates the N word either.

I think this thread accomplishes this, gathering people who agree about this and can be respectful and friendly to one another.

Just earned my gold star (for reading the full OP) and I'm gonna ignore the rest of the thread for the sake of not getting bogged down by the inevitable drama the "G" word brings.

The idea of a list of respectable, mature people to play with is kind of cool.  Might be enough to get me to bust out my mic.

I play on PC. My origin name is Firelightx.  I think.  Not 100% on that but feel free to hit me up for a game whenever.

I don't really approve, or disapprove of Homosexual Individuals. The only agrievance I have, is the flamboyant range of Homosexuals that perpetuate stereotypes, and typecasts. The whole quasi, pseudo-women aspect of their personalities is really utter nonsense.

That's great!  Good for you, having opinions and convictions and stuff.

However, no one asked.  Your opinion wasn't requested, this thread is not here for you or anyone else to discuss your views on homosexuality.

This thread is for those who wish to add their Gamertags/Origin IDs to the list on the front page, per the OP.

If you aren't here to do that, hit that little 'X' up there in the corner and move along.

I loled reading title (as I did gaymer) but I can see where you're coming from. The geth seem to be commonly associated with gays it seems.. A nongay friend of mine was upset recently by players accusing the geth of being "homos" and the hunter in particular coming behind for some rape. It was funny because we were both geth as well. For the record I don't think any anti-gay sentiments are associated with most of these remarks. In a lot of places "gay" as a slang for something disliked is so ingrained in most people it's usually the first adjective to come to mind. I know I habitually used it when I was younger.

I'll ask if she wants to join and you can add me @ UpS13DwnN4m1r4 on Origin, though it really looks like you have enough peeples
