I just unlocked the Batarian Sentinel, actually really fun to play. But doing bronze solo to level up is hellish, keep dying during the timed tasks without my geth turret or cloaking. Can take a beating though, hoping to get soldier next (or finally a Krogan, any Krogan).

As for the OP... I really don't care about the sexuality of other players - at what does that topic even come up?

When the OP plays with randoms on XBL, there's a significant chance he will be paired with some ignorant child throwing around the three letter F-word and people saying things like "Ugh the Falcon nerf is so gay" when they really mean "The Falcon nerf is so stupid."

So the OP, a nice chap that just wants to play ME3 with friendly people, decided to make a thread asking for anyone with an open mind that refrains from using derogatory terms (intentionally or unintentionally) towards members of the LGBT community to join up and play with him.

No idea whats so firmly lodged in your rectum for you to question the motives of this thread...

Being 14 and in my high school's GSA I'm happy to say that the homophobia problem decrases with every generation I think the main offenders are closed minded adults just wanted to tell all about my meeting

Yeah the world is truly getting less intolerant(The kids anyway) from my experience in NYC, feels good man.

Lol I live in ny used to live in the south... -______- that face explains it all...I think it's just based on who your parents are, where you live, and in some cases religion ( tho my bff is a lesbian muslim xD she finds it weird too)

I'm from Glasgow swear like sailor and can drink most people under the table. Love beer, metal and gory horror films. Do I sometimes sound gay maybe, but I would never say how queer unless I was acting in a 40's British comedy. That doesn't mean I agree with you, it just means surprise even LGBTYMCA - hate acronyms -  vary as much as the straight community. 
The solution is not to play with them again, not to generalise a whole community. Flamer comment shows lesbians excluded play with them. I big guy but some lesbians I know scare me lol (not spelt out)

Language doesn't just EVOLVE.  It's not like one day we all wake up with new terms and definitions uploaded to our brain.  People make the decision to use terms in different ways.

For example, "****" was for a long time a fairly socially acceptable term for African Americans.  Today, you're likely to be ostracized fairly quickly for using that kind of derogatory language.  The shift didn't just HAPPEN magically.  And white folks didn't just wake up one day thinking, "I should be nicer to people with darker pigmentation!"  No, the people who were the objects of that dehumanizing language fought against it.

Same principle here.  To just say, "language evolves, deal with it!" doesn't just completely ignore the insulting nature of a derogatory term inextricably linked to another human's immutable facts, it completely ignores the history of how our language works.

Further, imagine your line of reasoning with a different target.  "I didn't call you a Jew because I have anything against Jewish people!  I just meant you're stingy!  Language evolves, deal with it!"  - Does that strike you as acceptable?

I agree. There's no reason to say f/\\g or g/\\y in reference to anything besides a cig or a mo. No reason. It's funny how people believe they get to define the language they use to communicate with others. If the vast majority of people who speak a language believe a word (even a slang word) has a definition, that is probably the definition. You use it incorrectly and in an offensive manner. You're the jerk, no one else.

Wait! PLEASE don't be offended by that. You see, I've decided to evolve the english langauge. I've decided that idiot, when used in the context of "you're an idiot" means that I think you're super nice! If a small group of biggots can decide to "evolve" our language, I figure it's fair game for all of us. 

But seriously, I don't have to abandon the "principle" that our lexicon does in fact evolve over time in order to reject the wisdom of each word's "evolution." Nor do I have to stop being offended by things just because some people think it has become mainstream enough that it shouldn't be offensive anymore.

You can continue to use your "evolved" language and I can continue to find it offensive. The two concepts are not irreconcilable. And so I (and the OP, and the multitude of other LGBT players and straight allies in this thread) can continue to look to play with individuals who don't use the language we find offensive. If you think we are un-evolved for not being okay with language that is derrogatory or that makes a person's sexual orientation synonymous with "bad, uncool, sucky, etc," I honestly don't care.

Well, look, without even delving into the whole 'language evolves, deal with it' argument (which isn't stupid because it's untrue, it's stupid because in every culture there are words that exist that decent men and women just don't say. Always has been, and they're generally not thought some special contradiction that actually means we CAN say them.

Anyway, without going into that, sure, language has evolved. WHY did 'gay' become synonymous (among some people) with things like losing, whining, stupidity, nonsensical behavior, unfairness, etc? Might if maybe just maybe I don't know PERHAPS have been because being gay was itself thought objectionable, and thus nobody really put up a fuss for quite awile? Nooooooo, nothing like that! Language 'evolves', that's all.

I'm more than willing to play some ME3 multiplayer with some friendly people, maybe even try gold, have few sessions, and, well, talk. I think yelling "Omg, I got hit, i got hit. PLEASE can somebody help me?" is going to be much more effective with people that play with you via an organized event than just random encounter.
If anyone's willing to play with a Genderqueer with a difficulty to truly understand the difference between the sexes, then please don't hesitate to add me via Origin;

I love to play for fun rather than for any kind of competition. I love talking, but it's not obligatory, mostly I love playing with people for few rounds and be, for example, informed, that the host is about to leave and we need to create a new room, instead of just dropping out and leaving me in need to find another random match. And some people are really amazing to play with, they cooperate, forgive my sometimes very random charges and don't yell at me, and I repay them with picking them up whenever I can, so when a room suddenly dissapears because the host left I feel a bit, well, sad. My internet connection is pretty decent, so I don't think I'd be laggin.
Sorry, I can't really sell myself, but I think i'd be fantastic to have people to play with on a more regular basis. I believe it is more fun that way.

I tend to sacrifice myself to help pick up a fellow teammate (which usually does more bad than good, anyway, but I can't help it), I sometimes get a little carried away if I play the Vanguard (it's just charging is so addictive I can't really help it) but I feel strongest and the most helpful/contributing to the match by playing either the Engineer (I love how powerful the drone can be) or an Adept (dedicated mage/summoner in MMO's and fantasy RPGs here, which kind of can explain why I love both of the formentioned classes. Vanguard is just crazy )
I am not a native speaker of English, but I'm studying it, so I can understand it pretty well and I'd like to believe I can also use it efficiently. If that didn't put you off then we're good to go.

I am from GMT+1 Timezone, and I usually play around 8 p.m to midnight, but it does not mean it's set in stone.
