Would love to play with you folks. I'm on PS3 and my psn is the same as my username, jandrewcepticon. And consider me as someone in the middle.

All characters are at 20 and weapons at X, so experience and credits don't really mean much. I play for fun, or to help someone level up or something. And yes, I have a mic.

We "Hold the Line" all the time against our relatives who think that some crazy deity is going to swoop down and burninate the countryside if "Those Gays" are allowed out of their cages.  Seriously..some people!

So, with my invitation to add me to your list to play, and my explanation of how utterly indifferent to how someone's sexual orientation is somehow supposed to make them insane and plague-ridden (in some people's opinion), I do have to ask one thing:

Why even bother to make the thread?  

I understand seeking out like-minded friends to play with, but why even state your sexual orientation?  Has someone given you troubles over voice chat because you "sounded gay" or your avatar "lookd gay"?  I am genuinly curious, and not trying to derail or otherwise hamper your request to the community.

Anyway, that took up the last 5 minutes of work (while waiting for "code to compile"...true...but...lol), so now I'm off to go home and play some ME3!  Then go to my children's gymnastics class (6 year old girl, 3 year old boy) - and from my boy being in gymnastics, that HAS to show how much I think people have the right to their own lives ;-)  He said he can't take it, I said he can because his "chinchin" ("pee pee" in Japanese, as my family speaks both) and girls "chinkos" ("vajay-jay") don't dictate whether or not someone can do sports...lol!

Its just something that's kind of in our culture. We use those terms, not for their actual meanings, but for their newer meanings, which would be "stupid" or "dumb."

In ancient cultures, people would enslave others as a cheap labor force. Just because it's the "in" thing for the culture doesn't make it right. The ENTRIE point of this thread was for the OP to find people who didn't use those exact words even with those "newer" definitions.

Hey xyzmkrysvr just wanted to compliment you on a job well done! Keeping this thread going, updating the list, engaging in difficult discussions with, granted, some of the most thick-headed people on the entire BSN and clarifying our purpose, and all in a very reasonable and polite manner. I’m afraid I *did* have to report born2beagator… I’m all for allowing people to express their opinions SO LONG AS they do it in a respectful manner. Saying “homosexuality is disgusting” is considered “hate speech” and this forum does not look kindly on that. (Sentientbrute, I suggest you leave as well. We don’t need you coming in here and throwing around the word “abominations”. You know what *I* find abominable? Intolerance, ignorance and bigotry!)

Well - i'm not sure if saying that "homosexuality is disgusting" would be hate speech...  i mean it may well be his personal opinion.... but i think deliberately adding it to this forum when nobody said "born2beagator, what's your opinion on homosexuality in general" is totally unecessary.

Oh hey - straight married w/2 kids but add me up.  I'm not going to lie, i'm a product of our society, and i've let those words slip when not appropriate or just plain offensive... but as i've grown older and wiser i'm better at avoiding them and replacing them with other, less selectively derogatory, more vile profanity! yay for me!  But actually with the exception of a few F bombs... i watch my tongue pretty well in game.
