Seriously - as for how cliche'd the "As long as they don't hit on me" line is ... seriously? is this a recurring problem for you? Sounds like someone's sending out mixed signals.

I think, by and large, most LGBTQ folks have been through enough in their lives to realize how FIXED sexuality is.... I can imagine a straight man hitting on a lesbian "ah c'mon, how do you know you won't like it" ... but i can't imagine a gay man hitting on a straight man saying the same thing - because they probably spent at least a little time trying to convince themselves they were, or could be straight.
for the record... i've been hit on in my 29 years on this planet by two or three gay man.... One guy was older, one guy was younger, and i can't remember the third... and EVERY time it was prefaced by "i know you're not gay, but you're pretty cute" (of course this was when i was younger, and more boyish and less ... husky). Some of these folks are acting like it happens all the time. Honestly - if you were gay, and knew there was that much hatred towards you out there just for who you were, you would be pretty careful about who you hit on too.
Odds are the people who say that are GENERALLY people who don't have ill will towards gay people - they just have so little experience because of where they are, their age, or the lifestyle they live, that they think that's how it works...... And lets be honest - if a gay man kept hitting on you and wouldn't give it up (and you were straight) or if you were a gay man and a straight woman would just not give up hitting on you - it would get pretty awkward... and annoying. fast. But that just doesn't happen.

I usually play without a mic, as mine is broken and annoying, but if it's REALLY needed I'd hook it up.

I'm a bit confused as to what we actually do with this. Just add anybody from the list? Everybody from the list? I'm not too familiar with Origin, but I'm pretty sure there aren't any groups like Steam. 

Oh and I'm gay, if that's any consolation. Doubt it actually matters though...

And I posted and ran earlier on this thread without leaving xbox gamer tag I am kind of slow sometimes. GT - alanmck on xbox and I'm a Scottish, Bi, insomniac with no idea how he plays multiplayer, I may be one of those players or not...

Oh and with the complaints earlier accusing this thread of being ME gaydate, can I just say great idea. Bears become Krogan, str8 allies - Turrians, chubs - Elcor,  lipstick lesbians - Femshep, Twinks - Drell and lots more I was really tired and dosed on caffeine. And a closet case would be Batarian with mouthy queens as Vorcha.

I have way to much time to think, I need a new hobby.

My xbox gamer tag is L337CAT. I'm straight, but gay-friendly. I have a mic, but seldom use it because I'm kinda shy and I normally don't encounter people I really want to converse with online. No that doesn't mean I hate people. I play a Geth engineer colored gold. Be warned though, I'm pretty awful at the game.

So until this double standard is eliminated, I think gay people have every reason make themselves stand out, because they aren't asking for special treatment, they are asking for EQUAL treatment. It's only special treatment to thoes who view them as differnt.
